Sheila watched as the woman’s expressions changed from anger to scorn to composure. She sneered inwardly.
Actually, she was surprised that David would openly admit their relationship considering his behaviour the past few days. She didn’t expect that from him.
She also could tell the lady liked David and from the look of things, David didn’t seem annoyed by her or was she getting something wrong? The two of them were from well off families, perfect for each other according to Sheila.
” I am Regina Anderson, David’s childhood friend. It’s nice to meet you Miss…”
” Sheila.” Sheila replied, taking her outstretched hand in hers.
” Nice to meet you, Miss Sheila.” Regina said, plastering a fake smile on her face as the grip on Sheila’s hand tightened.
Sheila nearly winced in pain but she held herself back, smiling back at Regina with the same fake smile.
” The pleasure is mine, Miss Anderson.” Sheila replied, her grip also tightening that Regina immediately retracted her hand before glaring shortly at Sheila.
Two can play a game and Sheila was good at playing along with whatever the lady was pulling out on her.
” Let’s go!” David said, dragging Sheila away.
He didn’t miss the exchange between the two ladies, immediately feeling the hostility from Regina towards Sheila
He didn’t want to stay any more minute with the lady because she annoyed the shit out of him.
If it wasn’t for the fact that her grandmother had a close relationship with the Anderson family, he would have thrown her out of the hotel the moment she arrived uninvited during his business meeting.
He was courteous enough to save her the embarrassment and hoped that she would refrain from pulling such stunts at him in the future.
He didn’t miss how she insisted that they were childhood friends in front of his girlfriend and that pissed him off. He could tell her motive by doing that.
She would stop playing such tricks if she didn’t want to find herself on his bad side.
He would not mind destroying her together with her family if she dared sow discord between him and Sheila.
” Wait, I still have my senior waiting for me.” Sheila said, pulling her hand away from David’s grasp but he did not let her go.
” That’s precisely where we are going. I would love to say Hi to your senior.” David said seriously, making Sheila frown at him.
She didn’t say anything and just led him quietly to the room.
The smile on Blake’s face dropped before he spotted an awkward one after seeing Sheila come in, followed by a very familiar figure in the business world.
He couldn’t help but wonder why his junior would bring David along.
How did they know each other? That question flashed in his mind
David Brown was known to be arrogant and would not meet just anybody.
He had asked countless times to meet with him to discuss a business proposal but the man’s secretary would turn him down Everytime.
Who would have thought that it was through his junior he would get to meet the man physically.
Sheila mouthed a sorry to Blake and he nodded.
” It’s nice seeing you here Mr President.” Blake greeted, a smile on his face.
He dared not question the relationship between the two. He could already guess from how bitter the man’s expression was after he laid his eyes on him.
” I can’t say the same thing as Mr Shelton. I didn’t Know you have the habit of taking other people’s girlfriends on dates. Seems like your company is doing too good and you have a lot of time in your hands.” David said calmly but how could Blake not notice the threat in his words. He was taken aback by the revelation made by the man.
Sheila also Caught the hostility of the man towards her senior, causing her to elbow him slightly, a warning glare on her face.
David turned to look at her, his mood getting even worse from getting reprimanded by his woman over another man. The bitterness in his heart rose.
How could Blake not notice the interaction between the two. He understood that he had to salvage the situation and clear himself of any doubts by the man.
The last thing he wanted was to land his company into trouble. He was very much aware that Sheila harboured no romantic feelings for him and that would never change. Although sad that he could not get his first love, he had slowly learnt to let go and wish her happiness. Now that he saw the interaction between the two, he knew he stood no chance.
” You misunderstood something. We are here to discuss business with my junior. It’s nothing like a date.” He denied outrightly.
Well that was the truth anyways. They were here to discuss the business deal and share a meal for old times sake. That couldn’t be considered a date, right?
” A business?” David asked, his eyes narrowing from Blake to sheila.
Sheila did not want to explain anything about the deal they had to him. She wanted to keep her moving out a secret from the man. With how controlling he had proved to be, she doubted he would ever let her leave the house.
” I think we are done here. Senior, I’ll be expecting your feedback. Excuse us.” Sheila said, flashing Blake a smile before getting up from her chair and pulling David along until they left the room.
After they were out of sight, she let his hand go before walking out of the hotel.
She could not risk being spotted with him so she hurried in her steps, making sure there was a three metre difference between them.
David watched the little woman walk away from him, avoiding him like he’s some kind of a plague.
The warmth of her soft hand dissipated the moment she let his hand go, making his blood boil with anger. He was already in a bad mood but her actions annoyed him even more. He couldn’t help but wonder why she would treat him worse than a stranger.
He was her Man so why was she treating him like she was ashamed of him?
Was it because he was older than her?
The more he thought about it, the more angrier he got.
Striding towards her, he yanked her to himself, not caring who was watching. Pulling her to the parking lot, he shoved her into the car before getting inside and locking the car, leaving no escape route for her.
Sheila had just landed butt first on the backseat when David slammed his lips on hers, kissing her hungrily and angrily.
