After dressing up, Sheila made her way downstairs. Lily and David were already seated, waiting for her.
” Good morning baby?” Sheila greeted Lily and ignored David who was busy wracking his eyes all over her body.
His intense gaze on her felt like he was undressing her making her uncomfortable.
” Good morning beautiful sister.” Lily greeted enthusiastically.
Her father just announced to her that be will be going on a business trip that may last for days.
Lily was happy that she will get to dominate her beautiful sister for the days her daddy will be away.
After settling down, the three had breakfast peacefully.
” I will be meeting one of my friends today.” Sheila announced. She wasn’t seeking permission from David, just Informing him since she thought it was the best thing to do.
David stilled for a moment and the grip on his coffee cup tightened.
” A female or a make friend?” He questioned.
” A male friend. He Just came back from abroad.” Sheila replied, offering more details than asked.
Although he knew that she was innocent and wouldn’t lie to him, it still didn’t work sit well with him to have her see that so called friend.
His woman was beautiful and perfect, what If that friend was interested in her?
He didn’t want to have to get rid of him to keep the distance between them.
He was also troubled by the fact that he would be leaving and can’t secretly keep watch of his little woman. All those thoughts made his mood sour.
Lily who was silently observing her father could tell that the freak was worried, so she decided to do something to ease her father’s worries.
” Wow beautiful sister, you are going out today? Can you take me along? I rarely go out.” Lily said in a lamenting voice.
Sheila was instantly put between a hard place and a rock.
She was going to meet her old friend and didn’t Know of it was okay to bring Lily along. On the other hand, even if she was okay with it, will her father allow it?
She wasn’t so sure about that.
David who was earlier Happy about his daughter’s thoughtfulness Instantly turned angry after seeing the hesitation in the little woman’s face.
” You don’t want be to tag along?” Lily asked on her childish voice making Sheila feel guilty.
” That’s not it dear. Ofcourse I want to bring you along but your father has to agree first.’ Sheila pushed the ball to David’s coat.
David could tell what the little woman was trying to achieve by that, he smiled inwardly.
” Ofcourse baby. If you want to go out, then why not?” He readily agreed, making Sheila secretly roll her eyes.
Wasn’t he the one who forbid her from going out? Why was he in such a hurry to have her tag along?
Ofcourse, Lily read into bee father’s scheming acts. He must be sending her to keep security and ensure no other man comes close to beautiful sister.
Lily was a willing participant. Afterall, she didn’t want to loose her beautiful sister to another man especially if that man was younger than her father.
The two scheming individuals were pleased by the outcome.
If Sheila knew what the two were thinking, she would probably die from shock.
” Have the driver take you there. Don’t forget to have the bodyguards accompany you. They can stay away as you meet your friend.” Finally convinced that it would be safe to have his little woman meet her friend, David offered.
The bodyguards would serve to protect the two of them.
Although Lily was not known to the society, he still felt that it was better to be cautious.
After bidding his family of two goodbye, ofcourse he stole a kiss from Sheila when Lily wasn’t watching, David finally left with his assistant who just arrived to pick him up.
He promised to come back as soon as possible even when he knew maybe the two ladies would prefer it if he stayed longer.
Sheila and Lily left thirty minutes later. Sheila has to help Lily get changed to clothes suitable for going out
Now she was looking adorable in her White dress and black doll shoes.
Since they were going to w regular Cafe, Sheila made sure Lily wasn’t dressed in anything expensive.
She didn’t want catching attention of some thugs with her million dollar princess dresses and have themselves land in trouble.
It was proven to be a hard task to find something cheap in Lily’s drawer.
They had rummaged through the closet for nearly half an hour before they spotted a white dress which had never been worn.
It was a gift from Aunt Meng to Lily making it the cheapest dress in the whole closet.
After getting Lily dressed up, the two left hagd in hand.
David’s personal chauffeur, Peter, drove them to the designated cafe.
Sheila and Lily had to alight two blocks away to avoid having Fred notice her being driven in such an expensive car.
” Beautiful sister, is your friend a childhood sweetheart?” Lily asked. She was curious to know the extend of competition her father was facing her.
Sheila smiled to her choice of words.
Seriously, as a four year old, wasn’t she equipped with so much vocabulary?
” No. Although I know him from our childhood days, he’s more of a brother than a sweetheart.” Sheila replied.
If that question came two days ago, she would have agreed to Fred being bee childhood sweetheart but after analysing what she felt for him and David, she realized that her feelings for Fred were nothing but infatuation, a silly childish infatuation.
Maybe because he was the only man who ever treated her better, of course, apart from her adopted father.
Oh.” Lily replied. She was grinning from ear to ear inside after confirming that her beautiful sister had no hidden feeling for her friend.
That meant that her father was Still free from any competition.
But that didn’t mean she would relax.
