2 weeks later
(Nikki P. O. V)
“Cole, give me your, shirt” I yelled at him. He took a white shirt and gave it to me. I had been doing this for almost a week now; I won’t fit on any of my dresses. I am pregnant only for one month, but I feel like I am pregnant for five months. I have a suspicion that I am pregnant with twins.
“How did your bump become so huge, You’re only one month pregnant,” he asks while looking at me.
“I don’t think we should go to the hospital with you dressed like this. I will ask one of the she-wolves to lend you some maternity clothes for today, and we can go shopping while returning home,” Cole said to me and was about to leave the room, but I stopped her.
“Don’t you think I have tried their clothes already? I borrowed their clothes, but they didn’t fit me. That is why I am borrowing your shirt. I wanted to go shopping to buy some maternity clothes, but you were busy completing your pent-up work, and I wasn’t in the mood to go shopping alone,” I said while grabbing his hand.
“Then why didn’t you ask one of the Omegas to go to the store and buy clothes for you?” he asks me.
“Because I don’t think the clothes they would have brought for me, should we go now, because my legs I am having back pain, and I can’t keep standing for a long time?” I ask while glaring at him.
“Ok, ok, let’s go,” he said and picked me up in his arms in bridal style. He walks downstairs and toward the garage, and the driver opens the door for us and drives us to the hospital.
It takes us 15 minutes to get there, and Cole helps me walk inside the hospital.
“Excuse me, we have an appointment with Dr. Rony,” Cole said to the receptionist.
“Name?” the receptionist asks while looking at her computer.
“Nikki Grey,” Cole said to her.
“He is on the 3rd floor. He is busy with a patient. You can wait for him in the waiting room. One of the nurses will call you when Dr. Rony has finished checking his previous patient,” the receptionist said to us, and then we walk to the lift.
I walk towards the bookshelves where all the books related the pregnancy are there and pick one of the books to pass the time.
“Mr. and Mrs. Grey, Dr. Rony will see you now,” one of the nurses said while walking towards us. She takes the book from my hand and helps me stand on my feet; then Cole and I step inside the office.
“Welcome, Alpha and Luna, please take a seat,” Dr. Rony said as we walked inside the office and took a seat in front of him.
“So, how are you feeling, Luna? Any morning sickness?” Dr. Rony asks me.
“Not yet,” I said while smiling at him.
“Any inconvenience?” he asks me.
“Not yet expect wired cravings and swelling in my legs,” I said to him.
“Well, that is understandable, as it is your first appointment. I nodded excitedly to listen to everything, and Cole recorded everything so that he could hear records again if he needed to know something. So I’ll tell you everything, and then we can have your first ultrasound.”
After sharing a lot of information about taking care and everything, he passed us a do and don’t do list, my diet chart, and a book about the pregnancy and finally led us to the ultrasound room. Cole helps me lie down on the bed.
I look up at Cole, giving me an encouraging smile that means everything will be alright.
“Let me warn you first, the gel is going to be cold,” he said and put a gel on my stomach, and I felt a chill run down my body. After applying the gel to my stomach, he runs his ward over my stomach.
“That is your babies. So congratulations, Alpha and Luna, you are having twins,” he said with a big smile on his face while pointing his finger at the monitor.
“Do you see two white circles over here? They are your babies,” she said while moving his hand on the monitor screen. I look at the screen and tears pool inside my eyes. I can’t believe that I am carrying two babies inside me.
“I will give you guys a moment,” he said and pressed the button on the screen, and two heartbeats came along.
“That is the heartbeats, and both babies are healthy,” he mutters and then walks out of the room. Cole came and hugged me close to him. I look up at him to see him looking at the screen with tears in his eyes.
“I am so happy that both of them are healthy. We have twins, Cole. Can you believe it?” I shrike again, and he hugged me even more tightly.
After some time, we heard a knock on the door. The doctor walked inside with photos and advice in her hand.
“Here is the photo and the recorded heartbeats of the babies.” Dr. Rony said while passing it to Cole.
“Let’s get you cleaned up,” he said and removed the gel from my stomach and helped me get down from the bed.
“Here are some parental vitamins and supplements I prescribe you to have so that that baby can get enough vitamins and supplements to be born healthy, ” he said and passed me a paper after writing the name of the medicines over it.
“And your next appointment will be after one week and two days,” he said, smiling at us, and then we walked out of the hospital. After purchasing the medicine from a nearby medical store, Cole helps me get inside the car and drive to the newly open mall.
It only takes 20 minutes for us to get there. We go to the clothes section to buy some Maternity Clothes first, and I make sure that they are big enough to fit me even in the last month of my pregnancy.
After that, we do some grocery shopping, and that is when I catch the sight of a baby store. I pull Cole’s hands to get his attention.
“What happened?” he asks, looking worried.
“Don’t you think we should start shopping for the baby and prepare the nursery room for them?” I ask him while pointing my finger at the baby product store.
“We should, but not now. So instead, we will come here to shop for the baby after your other check-up,” he said with an apologetic smile, and I was about to burst into tears.
“You must be hungry. Let’s get something to eat for you,” Cole said while breaking the hug and pulling away from me. I nodded my head, and we go to the nearby restaurant to have lunch.
