After getting ready, I wanted to go to the pack hospital and go and check on Clary. Still, Emma and Stella dragged me back to the party, saying that I could go and visit Clary tomorrow since everyone at the party was waiting to meet me and wanted to get to know me.
As soon as I entered the party’s backyard, everyone surrounded me and started complimenting me about my fighting and wolf appearance and asked different questions, like who teaches me how to fight? Will I teach them? Some teenage girls also bad-mouthed Clary to get in my good books. They even told me they would help me bully her, and they had many different ideas and ways to do that, which annoyed me.
I mean, what happened between Clary and me is our business. Why did they have to come to interfere in it? Besides, I have no intention of bullying Clary or using her as a servant. I only tell her to teach a lesson, not judge a book by its cover. Thank God that Cole came and interrupted us to take me back to the stage before I said something I regretted later.
“I hope this duel cleared all the doubts in your mind about Nikki’s capability to lead the pack as the Luna of the pack. And to answer your question about whether she is Cole’s mate or not, let me tell you that they have already marked each other. They haven’t claimed each other because she was too young to complete the mating process. When she turns 18, they will complete the matting process. I hope this answers all your questions,” Dad informed them.
“And as her not being part of the pack, I will now hold the ceremony and officially welcome her as the new member of the pack,” Dad said and ordered the Omega to bring the things needed for the ceremony.
After some time, an Omega comes with a tray with a knife with a moon, a star pattern drawn on it, and a bowl containing a blue fire, also known as the holy fire. It is a holy/sacred item gifted to the Dad ancestors by the moon goddess herself as an item to welcome the new member in the pack since it was the first and oldest pack that came into existence.
If you walk inside the alpha’s office, you will always see it on the showcase behind the desk and the chair. It is said that nothing can quench this fire; only the moon goddess can do it. That is why its color is blue.
Dad takes the knife from the tray, cuts his hand, then cuts my hand, joins our hands, and makes our mixed blood drop in the bowl containing the fire. As soon as our mixed blood drops, and falls into the fire, the blurry voices, I used to hear after Cole marked me clear, and I feel the bonds between Cole and me even stronger. I also feel the bonds between the pack members and me.
“I now officially announced Nikki, the member of the red moon pack,” Dad announced, and everyone broke into cheers.
“I have something to say to everyone,” I said to Dad.
“Sure, go forward,” Dad said after taking a few steps back.
“When I enter the backyard, some people bad-mouthed Clary to get in my good books. They even told me they would help me bully her, and they had many different ideas and ways to do that,” I said while looking at the people who said that and seeing them looking down or away from me.
“Nikki,” Dad said, but I interrupted him.
“One second, Dad. I haven’t finished yet,” I said, cutting him off. He nodded his head and backed away.
“Let me make something clear to those people. I have no intention of bullying her or using her as my servant. I just wanted an assistant to give me a hand while also wanting to decrease our wariness toward each other. So, I hope you get those thoughts out of your mind and won’t create any trouble for both of us. Let’s all of us live in peace, okay?” I ask with a smile, and others sigh in relief.
“You didn’t think I would use this opportunity to bully or take revenge on Clary, did you, Dad?” I ask him, and he looks away from me.
“Tsk, I am very disappointed in you, Dad. At least have some trust in your daughter-in-law. I know what I am doing. I am going be to Luna of the pack. I can’t have grudges against my own pack, can I?” I ask him.
“So you didn’t intend to make her your servant from the start?” Cole asks me.
“Yes, I only did that to provoke her,” I said with a smile.
“Are you really going to make her your assistant, Nikki? Especially after how she behaves with you? ” Stella asked me, and I nodded my head.
“You can’t, Nikki. What if Clary’s had a grudge against you and betrayed you?” Stella asks, looking worried.
“As soon as to become the Luna of the pack, I have to solve the problems of the pack members and make them follow me and their alpha without any problem. And to do that, I have to solve all the disputes they have with me, their alpha, or any other pack members first. Think of it as my first step to be the luna of this pack. I will remove all the grudges she has against me, make her my friend, and make her follow my orders,” I said with a smile.
“I am so proud of you, Nikki. Now that I rest assured that the pack will be in good hands and can go on a long vacation after you and Cole take over the pack,” Rose said with a smile and caressed my head.
We got down on the stage, and everyone gathered around me to congratulate me. And the party goes smoothly. Before the end of the party, the dad announced that there would be a banquet and annual hunting with a small bonfire party in the night to welcome me into the pack since tomorrow was the first yearly hunting after I joined the pack and ended the party.
After the party, I wanted to visit Clary to see how she was doing, but I was too tired to do that. So, I changed my mind and decided to visit her the next day.
The next day. I get up, feeling a huge weight on me, and turn my head to see Cole sleeping beside me while tightly hugging me. After many difficulties, I removed his arms from me and got up from the bed. I lightly kissed him on his forehead and walked inside the washroom. When I walked out of the washroom, I saw Cole sleeping on the bed while hugging my pillow. I come to my hair and leave a note on the nightstand so that he does not get worried about me when he gets up from sleep and walks outside of my room.
I did not know where Clary’s room was, and it was also not a good idea to summon her/order her to come into the living room. Because she will think that I am looking down on her after winning the duel, and I do not want her to think that. So, I decided to ask one of the pack members or Omega about her room. So, when I saw one of the Omega running errands while preparing for the annual hunting banquette.
“Hey, your name is Ariel, right?” I asked while signaling her to come close to me.
“Yes, Luna?” Arial asks while walking toward me.
“Do you know where Clary’s room is?” I asked her.
“Yes, she lives on the second floor, room no. 210. Would you like me to go and call her?” Ariel asks me.
“No, but thanks. I will go there myself,” I said smiling, and walked towards Clary’s room.
