Dominic’s POV
We have been waiting for the guy to lunge an attack at us as we are well prepared for it. At least, five Werewolves should match with his strength. We’ve waited twenty four hours now and we eventually give up on expecting him to approach. There aren’t enough men to safeguard the four corners of the pack but we’ve got measures. We’re equipped. He can get in at anytime but can’t get us down.
We finally decide to release the wolves that have been locked up in a tight room for a while now.
They rush out of the room like though they’ve had an inkling that a Savior is coming. Right now, their senses should be back to normalcy to remember who their Alpha truly is. Why would you even claim a pack and refurbish it, thinking you’ve got the strongest rule ever? No matter how strong you are, there’s still a stronger person. No one is God. God is HIMSELF.
“You can address them now.” I instruct one of the rogues as I ask for their names so I don’t keep whistling to catch their attention.
“Matt, Francis, Mayor and Murphy.” One of them points at each of them and reveals the names, relieving the others from the stress of introducing themselves.
“And you’re…?” Francis asks.
“Dominic.” I clip as all the wolves are now out of the room which smells of foul stench. Mayor calls for his other colleagues to come over and share food to the members of the pack as they all look hungry. Mayor is actually the leader of the rogues in the woods who now happens to be my subject after helping me. I am the Alpha of this pack and no one can change that title, no matter what.
Jack’s POV
Montana High School. A smirk creeps up my chin as I read it in my mind. Jake’s slept off in the car. Dad gently parks when he drives inside the college premises as he asks me to wake Jake up.
“He’s a dumbass. Sleeps anyhow.” I irritatedly say as I hit him hard, asking him to get up on time. He suddenly freezes up, almost screaming, as he wakes.
“Everywhere’s good, man. We arrived.” I relay, extending my hands to nudge him but he keeps moving farther from me in the name of dozing. As my hands get to him now, I hit him hard on the head so that Alex even looks back, trying to confirm where the sound came from.
“Just a joke,” I say as Jake fixes a frown on his face like though he’s gonna consume me anytime soon, “an expensive one. I know. Now, get down from the car.”
“Get down too. Get down, man!” Alex bursts into laughter as he knocks me down from the car. As I reach the floor, my eyes suddenly roll towards a certain girl approaching. Her face quickly looks familiar. I gulp at her beautiful face but I don’t say a word. She walks pass me to meet her dad in the car parked just right in front of dad’s car.
I gulp slowly as I suddenly feel safe with her. I keep my intentions and feelings to myself as I clear my throat and feign a smile when dad asks me what’s really going on with me.
“Man, did you sight a girl real quick?” Jake teases but I roll my eyes angrily at him, not wanting some rude remarks moving forward.
“Let me take you to your hostel.” Dad says and we move down the college as I see students of different calibers. I can see a bully threatening a lady to force her to have sex while there’s a dagger with him. Maybe my eyes are just too sharp to witness that. I keep quiet again as I keep observing all that was happening.
“If there’s any bully in your hostel, ensure you whoop such ass. Alright, kids?” Dad gently admonishes as we enter the large hostel. There are also mansions built beside it but I dare not ask who owns the mansion or if our rooms are right there instead as I belong to a royal family, a son of a strong Alpha.
“Does this mean I have a mind link already?” I ask dad who shushes me, promising to respond to my questions after we get inside our room. As we walk towards the hostel, he suddenly switches direction and leads us straight to the mansion. I can see the happiness all over Jake but we dare to ask him.
“Are you sure you’re not playing some pranks on us again?” I ask, folding my arms across my chest.
“Not at all,” he says as we enter the mansion. It looks way better than my room in his pack and I can’t wait to show off my accomodation to the female friends I’ll make moving forward.
“You both will share the room down there while my friends will share the rooms up there and you both can share the living room.” He instructs.
I slowly pull him to myself as I whisper to his ears, “dad, Jake and I can’t share a room. What if he wakes up in the night and sucks my blood?”
“He doesn’t necessarily need blood for survival.” He whispers back, ensuring Jake doesn’t have an inkling of what we’re discussing.
“He might suck my blood voluntarily then.” I say.
“You both should live in a room. He’s your brother. How do you expect him to feel if I edit my words after saying you both should stay together? He will be certain that we discussed him and that can bring back bad memories. You both expected a pure breed werewolf. I know he must have hated a lot of vampires and now that he’s one? He can return to depression if care is not taken.”
“He can’t kill himself if he gets depressed.” I silently speak.
“I’m surprised you’re saying this. Do you suddenly hate your brother? Your twin brother?” He asks, almost fuming
“I think I should be asking why Dominic and you are not on good terms with each other.” I remind.
“Never ever mention that again. Don’t be unfortunate.” He warns loudly as he walks us to the mansion room. I call it that because the room alone is more beautiful than some students’ villa.
“Are we gonna attend any lectures today?” I ask as I cup my jaw, staring myself in the mirror. The room is large indeed and can conveniently accomodate even three students but that’s not what I really care about anyway.
As much as I care about my brother, I also don’t want to be bitten. I don’t want to be an hybrid of any other breed. I want to remain a pure werewolf breed, fit to be an alpha I was made to be. I’ll also open conversations and launch friendship with a lot of female students here. I know my intentions and how to go about them.
When I get to a point in life and I have to save any of the female friends I’d make in college, what if I am tempted to employ my vampire power to save her, which in turn would make me look like a liar all years long?
I love to be around a lot of girls but I hate being rejected or snubbed. If a girl isn’t giving me as much attention as I desire, I’ll dump her immediately. I’m gonna have a serious issue with the moon goddess if she eventually mates me with an introvert. I want a total extrovert who’d love me for who I am. Who will love me the way female wolves love an Alpha. They shouldn’t make excuses but the Alpha can. I am not sorry to say but I want a dominant relationship, me being the predator and the female being the prey.
Perhaps that’s why I’ve not gotten deep in relationship with the female humans and wolves I had sex with, in dad’s pack. I can change, can’t I? I’m not sure I wanna change. I enjoy this lifestyle.
Dad is eventually ready to leave as he gives us his last word: “I will be away from both of you for months. I can’t say when next I’ll see you but it won’t be up to a year, I’m sure. Are you assuring me that you’ll keep yourselves safe and remain brave in the face of adversaries? I know you both aren’t dummies or dullards. Just ensure you’re equally polite to your lecturers. This isn’t high school. This is college. Got it?” He says and wink at us.
“Got it.” I respond as I hug him after which Jake does.
He turns to leave without looking back. As he leaves, I shut the door and strangle him, pinning him tightly to the wall.
He struggles to speak, “stop this rough play.”
I don’t stop so he kicks me in the groin as I release my grip on him, landing unevenly to the ground. He chuckles at that and says, “Dad said to attack any bully sighted. You came first.”
