A Silver Wolf’s Importance

Book:Pregnant For The Twin Alphas Published:2024-6-4

Alex’s POV
“I swear by the moon goddess. I didn’t locate his scent. He tracked me down to your pack.” She begins to confess as I threaten to chain her with chains soaked in wolfsbane and silver sprinkles.
“What did he say?” I ask.
“He asks me to come save his pack. He promises that I’ll return to wherever I am.” She says.
“Does he know where you are?”
“Yeah. He guessed and I told him he’s right,” she says, her lips visibly shaking, “I’ll make it up to you. I promise. I will ensure I return here.”
“You can’t fool me a second time.” I say and scoff, “you’re not leaving this pack.”
“Just let me go. I am the silver wolf that can save him at the moment. Alex, remember this is your brother. No matter what he has done, just find a place in your heart to…” She says but interrupt.
“To forgive him? No way that’s happening.”
“I mean to be convinced to save him out of the mess he’s gotten into.”
“What kind of mess? I need to know that first.” I say and she sighs and gesticulates but I inform her that I don’t understand the gesticulations.
“There are several armed men guarding the silver wolf that’s ruling his pack. He needs to get all of them down and kill the silver wolf or chain her. Because even if he uses me to brainwash the head of the members of his pack, he might be not be considered the ruler of the pack since there’s a silver wolf reigning.” She explains.
“I understand you. But I can’t risk the lives of my warriors just to save a traitor’s ass.” I say and continue, “Amanda, don’t you think this is a trap? Maybe to get you or something of that kind? Since you left without informing him you’ll be away from the entire werewolf community.”
“It’s not that. I can access his mind link as well and I know what is on his mind for the moment we were discussing,” she says and continues, “afterall, he won’t even have me as the Luna. I think that should be his stripper. You can have Nora, me and the kids. Aren’t we enough for you?”
“What if I tell you that I’m after Dominic’s life as well?” I ask.
She bulges her eyes and chuckles softly before responding, “you can’t be serious about this. Okay. Let’s strike a deal. I’ll do you some favor in return of this favor.”
“What favor do you want from me actually? To permit you to go save Dominic in his pack?” I ask.
“I’m sorry if I sound somehow but can’t you comprehend simple grammar?” She suddenly asks. I maintain composure and do not act according to my emotion. Else, she would have lost her teeth.
“I will follow you to his pack. Are you satisfied now?” I asks and she happily jumps up. She pulls me into a hug as I begin to think there’s something right behind this.
“But I’m in the mood right now.” I add as she creases her forehead and grumbles slightly.
“If you’re not interested, we can stay.” I simply say as I decide to walk out of the room but she holds me back, saying, “let’s return first. I will always give it to you. My help is needed urgently. Perhaps, I need my energy to help them. I would lose it by engaging in the act you’re calling me to commit.”
I suddenly enter my mind link as I order for my beta. He should be busy around the field. He connects to the mind link after a few seconds.
“Yes, Alpha? Can’t hear you clearly. Over.” He says.
“Don’t disconnect,” I say and hear him sigh, “come straight down to my room in my quarters. I need your attention very urgently.”
“Sure. Consider me there.” He says and disconnects from the mind link. He doesn’t even bother about why I called him. It could be to retrieve some stuff he could retrieve while coming to meet me.
After a minute, he rings the doorbell and I open the door for him. He slowly bows his head to Amanda and she waves her hands at him.
“This girl and I will need to get down the street for some reasons best known to me,” I inform and begin to whisper, “you’ll need to be the acting ruler of the pack. Take this and show it to anyone who asks about my approval.” I say and give me the badge of the Alpha.
“I should be back in a jiffy.” I hurriedly say as I dispatch him from the room. He glares at Amanda suspiciously before walking out of the room.
“Do you know him?” I ask Amanda as she suddenly directs her gaze towards me. She gulps as my beta leaves and I am beginning to wonder if she’s known him in bed as well.
“No I don’t.” She confidently says and I let it slide.
“Dress up. Let’s get going.” I instruct and she quickly hurries to the wardrobe to grab some nice clothes. I appreciate how cute she is, in her perfect outfit.
As we march out of my room and our of my quarters, my wolves, I mean the security wolves, begin to hail me. I drop a few dollar notes with them before I walk away. They hail me again and when we get to the gate, the security wolves begin to question me where I am going to. Despite the words used to convince me to permit some security wolves to follow me, I refuse, claiming where I am headed to, needs me to be alone.
“I’ll be right back,” I inform and pat their back as I walk out of the pack, “I really hope it won’t be a trap set by Orion. He won’t like it.”
“That way,” Amanda gulps as she points in a different direction from where I am treading.
We soon reach Dominic’s territory as he warmly welcomes her into the pack but we had to wait for six more hours as we can’t get inside the pack in the noon. According to their research, we might be shot or chained and locked up in the pack cell until further investigation takes place.
“Orion Blackwood, nice to meet you again!” He cheers as he extends his hands for a warm handshake but I decline it.
“You guys are still mad at each other?” Amanda winks her eyes at me before I receive the handshake but sigh nevertheless.
I suddenly speak as my deep voice makes a difference . They turn towards me, “Okay. Now that she’s here and I’m here. What do you want her for?”
“She knows what I want her for,” Dominic says and sighs, “and since she knows it, you might not…”
“Complete the statement.” I order as my wolf growls and snarls.
“Let’s get to business. How did you say a silver wolf can be used to convince the members of the pack?” He turns to his beta now, asking. I am becoming bored by this as I badly want to return home but I can notice the different in the pack house I left and the current pack house. He definitely must have done a great job building his pack.
“When did you renovate this?” I ask, folding my arms across my chest.
“It’s a long story.” He simply responds.
“I have time.” I retort and he looks deep down into my eyes before he shakes his head and promise he would tell me about it later on but not at the moment.
“What exactly do you need help with, Dominic?” I ask and as he turns to face me, I sight a gun lying lazily on the ground. I grasp it, strap it to my fingers but before I can fire bullets at him, Amanda pushes me to the ground and my eyes bulge at the action she took.
“Really?” I slowly ask as Dominic moves up to me to punch me harder in the face.
“Yes. Really.” Amanda says as her face demonstrates that of a betrayer. A hater.
“Amanda, help me up. Don’t piss me off. I can wound Dominic. I am telling you.. only white wolves will be able to heal him after he sustains bruises from me.
Suddenly, the door opens flat and some men come in, armed with guns and some other ammunitions.
“Surrender your lives now!” They order as their voice echoes in this expansive hall.
