“Let go! Don’t you have any manners treating me like a thief like this? I’m still your mistress!”
Early in the morning, Julia caused a scene. She deliberately came to Edward’s house and insisted on meeting him before heading to the office.
For Julia, there were many things that needed clarification. Even if the final decision was to divorce, Julia didn’t want to leave the house empty-handed.
“You can’t come in, Ma’am.” One of the security guards continued to block her, not allowing Julia to enter freely as before.
“You can’t refuse me like this. I have the right to enter my own house.” Julia shouted insistently.
“But, Mr. Edward has given orders not to let you in even for a moment.”
Julia shook her head immediately. Where was the need for all this formality?
“No. That must be a mistake. I’m sure you’re just making it up.”
Then, Julia tried to revolt. For the umpteenth time, she forced herself to break into the house she had been living in with Edward.
But, before she could enter, the figure of the man she wanted to meet appeared. He looked sharp, showing a deeply displeased expression. Completely different from what was usually seen.
“Edward.” Julia called out immediately. Hoping the man would be compassionate and allow her to enter. “We need to talk. You can’t treat me like this.”
“There’s nothing else to talk about, Julia. Everything is very clear. What else do you want to explain?”
Julia shook her head repeatedly. Trying as hard as possible to find a loophole to convince Edward.
“But, you’ve really misunderstood. Haven’t you considered that all this has been arranged by Kairos to separate us? Kairos is cunning, Edward. He’s a snake!”
Edward laughed. What kind of slander was Julia spreading now to gain sympathy and clean her tarnished name?
“So, you’re accusing Kairos of deliberately spreading rumors?”
“Of course,” Julia nodded then. “From the beginning, he was the one most against our relationship.”
“True.” Edward seemed to agree. “From the beginning, Kairos has never agreed with our relationship because he knows how rotten you are. I was so foolish, never to believe his words.”
“Edward, for God’s sake…” Julia pleaded. “This is just a misunderstanding. You’ve been fooled by nonsense.”
“Misunderstanding, you say? So, do you consider sleeping with two different men simultaneously just a misunderstanding? I just realized you’re truly insane!”
Julia fell silent. All the words she uttered only made Edward hate and disgust her even more.
“Edward… I beg you, give me one chance.”
Edward laughed instead.
“A chance? For what?”
“For me to fix our relationship. I swear I’ll fix it no matter what, and I promise I won’t repeat this foolishness again. Whatever you want, I promise to do it for you.”
Edward shook his head. Julia’s sweet promises no longer interested him.
“Unfortunately, I have no interest in giving you the slightest chance, Julia. So, don’t waste any more time.”
Edward intended to leave. But Julia quickly approached and immediately knelt down, holding onto the man’s legs.
“Edward… please. Don’t leave me like this. Isn’t there even a little love for me?”
“Julia, let go!” Edward exclaimed, displeased. Pushing Julia’s hand away, trying hard to free himself. “There’s no need to talk about love and all that.”
“Edward…”
“It’s better if you leave now. Besides, you don’t need to bother anymore. All your belongings have been neatly packed by Brigitta. You can take them away this morning.”
“Are you really kicking me out?” Julia asked. Her face, which had been sad before, slowly turned into anger. Perhaps she was tired of begging and pleading, but it didn’t yield any results.
“Do you think I’m willing to live under the same roof with you?”
“Don’t forget, this house is mine too, Edward.”
Edward laughed. His ears tingled hearing Julia’s recent words.
“What did you say? Your house? This is my house, Julia Estelle. I even owned it long before I married you.”
“Okay. If this is your house, but don’t forget that the property and other assets must be divided fairly. You can’t deny that during our marriage, there were a lot of assets and wealth that you acquired.”
“True.” Edward nodded. “But, you also have to remember. Before we got married, didn’t you make a prenuptial agreement that stated our assets wouldn’t be mixed? I had already warned you against making such an agreement because I felt you also needed to enjoy the wealth I owned. It’s just that, back then, you seemed afraid that my income and assets as a model would be enjoyed by you. So, I thought it wasn’t wrong to agree to that agreement. The proof is, today I feel saved.”
Edward laughed. Meanwhile, Julia felt like screaming. How could she forget that she had made a foolish prenuptial agreement that was now causing trouble for herself?
“Enough, Julia. Don’t trouble yourself anymore. I suggest you go home immediately. That is if you have a place to stay. Just wait for my lawyer to contact you. However, you will still get your share of the wealth. It’s just that, don’t expect too much.”
Edward left and immediately got into his car. Leaving Julia sitting weakly, lamenting her truly shattered fate.
