Chapter 501 Do You Really Want To Do This?

Germaine grabbed the frame of the door and slowly walked out of the toilet. Her face was pale and her body was covered in a cold sweat. She looked like she had just stepped out of a swimming pool. She was wet and sticky all over.
During the past month, she had been so worried about Dorothy and Belle’s health. She hadn’t eaten or slept well for several days, which caused her to have stomach pain and constipation. Every time she went to the toilet, she would be constipated for over half an hour. She tried out all kinds of solutions such as holding her breath, which nearly cost her life.
A while ago, while she was waiting outside Belle’s operating room, she felt unbearable pain in her stomach and rushed to the bathroom.
After over half an hour of torment, she was finally done. Just as she was about to pull up her trousers and leave, she heard someone walk in with high-heels. Then, the woman who walked in closed the door and made a phone call.
As soon as the woman spoke, Germaine recognized the voice belonged to Ysabelle’s.
She thought that she was only going to talk about branded clothes and shoes with some of her friends. Yet, that d*mned woman was flirting with someone else and she talked about things that happened twenty to thirty years ago. She even said it herself, the person she was talking to was Jeremias!
What the f*ck, Jeremias was her uncle. He died so many years ago. How was he still alive?
Germaine heard Ysabelle’s conversation clearly, so she couldn’t deny that fact.
So, in order not to be noticed by Ysabelle, Germaine tried to move back as quietly as possible. Her slender body was practically attached to the wall as cold sweat poured out of her forehead. Her sweat trailed down from her temples to the sides of her head and beside her eyes.
The more she heard, the more shocked she became. She was so shocked that she widened her eyes and nearly screamed out loud.
Her uncle had actually faked his own death so many years ago. After that, he changed his identity from someone who failed to snatch his family wealth to a drug lord.
Ysabelle, on the other hand, was thinking about Credence’s father, Sheldon. Not only that, she pretended to ‘love’ Yezoo and married him, how shameless!
No wonder she loathed Ysabelle’s fake smile ever since she was young.
This woman was not a good woman at all. She actually hooked up with her uncle behind her other uncle’s back. Not only did she want to kill Credence’s father, she even wanted to erase evidence of everything she had done. What wishful thinking.
Germaine’s mind was filled with anger, and she trembled with anger. Just as she was about to push the door open and rush out to tear Ysabelle’s ugly face apart, suddenly, the muzzle of a black pistol appeared in her line of sight.
The muzzle slowly moved through the half-closed door like a poisonous snake with its tongue sticking out. It approached her from a distance and was aimed at her neck.
She realized that Ysabelle was checking to see if there was anyone in the cubicle. If she found out that someone was there, she would instantly fire the gun and send that person to hell.
Germaine took a deep breath. She didn’t dare to move at all, but her brain was racing. What could she do to protect herself?
Before she could figure out a way to save herself from her situation, Ysabelle suddenly received a phone call from Yezoo. Without wasting any time, she picked up her pistol, turned around, and quickly left.
Thank the lord, she was saved.
Germaine dragged herself out with her weak legs and went to the sink. She turned on the tap and reached out her hands that were soaked with cold sweat. The ice-cold water creaked and quickly washed away the sweat on her palms.
After washing her hands, Germaine washed her face with the ice-cold water and composed herself. She then took out a wet towel from her jeans pocket. Her hands were still trembling and weak, she could only slowly wipe her face.
Even though she heard all of Ysabelle’s dirty stories, Ysabelle was still her eldest uncle’s wife. She was also Dorothy’s mother, what could she do about that?
On top of that, her uncle Jeremias had faked his own death and turned into a drug lord in Jenciga.
If this news got out, it would be very bad for the Sherman family. To put things more seriously, the Sherman family would be ruined, and all these generations of building up the Sherman family would end up with nothing.
Even though she didn’t have a good impression of the Sherman family, she still didn’t want to see it ruined.
“Uncle, you shouldn’t have f*cking married such a shameless woman like Ysabelle. Now, the Sherman family is going to be in big trouble, what the f*ck.”
“Uncle Jeremiah, you cheated death for Yverlyn. Yet, despite your age, you’re still playing this stupid game of hide-and-seek. What an idiot!”
Germaine gritted her teeth and adjusted her facial muscles. She pretended to act dumb as though she didn’t hear anything and ran out of the toilet.
She ran to the operating room and saw everyone gathered at the door. They whispered about Dorothy’s troubled labor with a serious look on their faces. Yezoo and Ysabelle were among them.
However, both of them had their backs to her and were looking out at the dark night sky outside the window with a heavy expression on their faces.
Germaine quickly swept her eyes and quickly squeezed behind Juelz. She said, “Juelz, how is Dory doing?”
After hearing of Dorothy’s difficult labor, Juelz was very anxious. His palms were sweaty and his face was pale. He felt both nervous and distressed for Dorothy. He answered hoarsely, “The doctor said that Dory isn’t doing well. Her water broke, but the baby can’t come out because the passage wouldn’t open. If all of the amniotic fluid flows out, the child would be at risk of dying from oxygen deficiency.”
Germaine’s heart trembled and her legs turned weak. She nearly dropped to the ground. Fortunately, Juelz reached out, held her arm, and stabilized her body. She shouted anxiously, “F*ck, if it’s that serious, why don’t we just have Dory undergo the cesarean birth method?”
“The doctor said that a cesarean section is harmful to the body. Dory’s body is too weak to cope with such a big operation. If we really want that for her, there… there’s a chance that she won’t survive.”
By the time he finished talking, Juelz’s eyes had turned blood red, and was filled with tears.
Germaine’s pupils dilated as she stared at the tightly shut door to the operating room for a long time. Her breathing was shaky and her body trembled. “How could this happen… Then, what should Dory do? What about her child? What about Belle?”
What would happen to the man who loved Dory so deeply?
If Dory couldn’t survive this, he would definitely go crazy!

In the ward next to the operating room, Credence’s eyes were dim. He held his head high and leaned against his wheelchair. His breathing was heavy and short.
After half a day, his face looked grim. It was quiet and devoid of any emotions.
An unbearable amount of grief that could topple mountains and overturn the seas was calmly hidden in the deepest depths of his heart. No one could see through it.
Jonathan stood in front of him, irritably plucking at his hair. He had a very grim expression on his handsome face. “F*ck, Credence, let’s think about this again. This isn’t a joke, the consequences will be really bad. Are you sure you really want to do this?”
