“That’s right, I got the information from Juelz.”
Yezoo was in a wheelchair, Ysabelle pushed him forward with great effort until he was in front of Dorothy and Credence. He raised his head and looked at Dorothy with a smile. “Dorothy, I have just learned that you are my daughter, yet you have to travel so far away with Credence. What a coincidence! I thought that I would be able to take you home today, where you would accompany us for a while!”

Because of this, she was now around four to five centimeters shorter than Ysabelle.

Unfortunately, contrary to what you think, when I first learned that I was your daughter, my first reaction was not to believe it. Next, I thought that something must have gone wrong. Since the two of them did not get along with each other and that they hated each other, there was no need for them to continue putting on an act.

Credence stood by Dorothy’s side and remained silent. “Our plane is about to take off. Dad, we won’t waste your time anymore. Let’s talk about it after we come back from Kowloon City.”

“Why are you still addressing me as Mr. Sherman?”
Yezoo wasn’t upset. He squinted and laughed, “Credence, I hope that when you come back, you will start addressing me as Dad!”
Listening to Yezoo’s laughter, Ysabelle’s eyes were filled with uncertainty, but she pursed her lips. She stared at Dorothy and Credence, who was boarding the plane and remained silent.
There were things that she needed to do. As Dorothy was now her biological daughter, she would eventually lose her authority sooner or later, so she needed to speed things up.

Credence carefully supported Dorothy as they stepped steadily into the cabin. He found a relatively comfortable spot and sat down quietly.

Credence collected their lunch from Benjamin and waved him away. He saw Dorothy sitting on the corner of the sofa. She was looking at the blue sky and white clouds outside the window. She was silent.
He walked over and stared at her slender fingers. All of her fingers were pale, and he felt distressed when he saw them, “You’ve reconciled with your parents, are you unhappy about that?”
“Not completely, I was just a little surprised by it.”
Dorothy’s eyelashes drooped. It covered her watery eyes. Her face was slightly pale under the light. Whether she was happy or not, it could be seen very clearly.
Credence frowned, “Honey, none of us can choose our parents, but we can choose what kind of parents we want to be. Some are selfish and only think about themselves, some wouldn’t even care. We don’t have to care about them. All we have to do is finish our part and live up to our own expectations, and that itself is good enough!”
“The flight will take three hours, and we have another long journey after we get off the plane. You should have something to eat first. After that, you should take a nap. I will watch over you, alright?”
His voice was soft and gentle, yet it was filled with enough power to comfort her. Dorothy quickly relaxed her tense and restless mood, nodded, and agreed with him.
After eating half a plate of delicious food, Dorothy felt sleepy. After a while, she laid down on the sofa and fell asleep with Credence watching over her.
After she fell asleep, Credence slowly stood up and went to the bathroom. He closed the door and took out his phone from his pocket to make a phone call. He asked with a serious look on his face, “Marvin, what’s the latest on Melanie?”
