After hearing Marvin’s plan, Credence turned around. He frowned and immediately rejected it. “No! By doing that, you are putting my wife in danger.”
“I know. You are always extra careful when it comes to Dorothy’s safety.” Marvin turned his head and looked at his aggressive eyes. He quickly explained, “Credence, you still don’t get it. I just need you to act nice around Dorothy. We will then post it on several internet platforms.”
“That’s right, we’ll promote the fact that you only love Dorothy, and also, release the video of you proposing to her. I assure you that Melanie will be so angry, she’ll come looking for you or Dorothy to cause some trouble.”
“But it doesn’t matter that she will. We’re not afraid of her showing up. We’d be more concerned if she doesn’t. When she does appear again, it will be our turn to take action. Credence, I promise you, she won’t escape this time.”
He had to agree, Marvin was making sense.
Credence pondered the idea, then nodded in agreement. “Okay, we’ll do as you say! I only have one request. Make sure that Dorothy and Belle’s lives are kept safe.”
“Don’t worry, Credence. I know what to do. With this plan, Melanie will learn the true meaning of deception.”
Marvin’s words were firm and determined. He almost gave a military guarantee to Credence.
The two had known each other for many years. Credence knew the kind of person Marvin was. He wasn’t the frivolous sort of person whose words were loud and carried no weight.
Since Marvin wanted to deal with Melanie, Credence could relax and concentrate on coaxing Dorothy to change her mind.
Having experienced her kind, gentle charms, going back to those lonely nights of being a single man would be torturous. Each day would feel like an entire year.
“Credence, I’ll go discuss the plan with Jonathan right away.”
Marvin was a man of action, and he did things swiftly. After saying goodbye to Credence, he turned around and strode off.
Credence was left standing by himself. His face was blank, not a trace of emotion could be found on it.
Five minutes later, his cell phone rang.
Marvin, who had just left, was calling him.
He had reached the parking lot, got in the car, started the engine, and was ready to leave. Suddenly, he remembered that Juelz was still locked up, so he quickly made a phone call.
“Credence, Juelz should still be in the smoking-room. Although he’s nowhere near qualified to be your rival in love, he has put in a lot of effort. If you have time, you should come up with a solution and let him out. If he’s locked up for too long, Dorothy might blame you for it.”
Credence never had a good impression of Juelz. He didn’t care if Juelz lived or died. But Marvin’s last sentence stirred something in him. He nodded. “Okay, I’ll call Boden and get right on it.”
Boden was standing in the corner of the corridor, he was so inconspicuous, he was practically invisible.
Suddenly, he noticed Credence gazing at him. He silently walked up to him and respectfully asked, “Mr. Scott, what can I do for you?”
“Go to the smoking room over there, break the lock and let Juelz out.”
“Yes, Mr. Scott.”
Boden hurried off, he couldn’t help but laugh on the way.
Mr. Scott and Mr. Jules actually locked Juelz up in a corner room. That was hilarious!
In order for Dorothy and Belle to enjoy complete silence, and for their safety, Juelz deliberately emptied the top two floors of the hospital, leaving only reliable medical staff and a group of bodyguards that were personally arranged by him.
Of course, Boden and a few other team members were a part of this group of bodyguards. On the surface, they listened to Juelz and obeyed his orders, but in truth, they were loyal to Credence. They prioritized Dorothy and Belle’s safety above anything else. When necessary, they would give their lives.
Boden had been here for quite some time, and he knew every part and function of the hospital like the back of his hand.
The smoking room was on the left of the corridor, which was the farthest from the examination room which Dorothy was in. It was also in a remote location, which very few doctors and nurses would walk past. Even if Juelz shouted till his lungs collapsed, he would not be able to get any help.
When he arrived at the smoking-room, Juelz was still locked up inside as expected. He was furiously kicking the door and roared, “Marvin, you are just Credence’s b*tch. Just you f*cking wait. Sooner or later, I’ll kill you.”
However, it wasn’t an ordinary wooden door, it was actually made out of steel. Juelz would not be able to kick it open, even if he broke his foot.
Boden found it hard to hold back his laughter, and almost laughed out loud.
Juelz couldn’t even defeat him, yet he thinks he can take on Mr. Jules?
He didn’t know what Mrs. Scott liked about Juelz. She was actually in an argument with Mr. Scott, a man who was a hundred times better than Juelz, but wanted to be with this ordinary man instead.
Boden shook his head in confusion. After taking a deep breath, he shouted, “Mr. Sherman, it’s me, Boden! There is a lock on the door. Don’t worry, I’ll help you out, but it’ll take about five to six minutes.”
After being locked up for almost 40 minutes, Juelz’s patience was at its limit. When he heard the bodyguard, his stomach filled with anger. He shouted. “Stop messing around. F*cking hurry up.”
Boden answered subserviently but had a very wide smile on his face. He found a sharp wire and stuck it into the keyhole. After that, he started to fumble around.
Once he felt he wasted enough time, he pulled the wire upward. With a clicking sound, the door unlocked.
That very second, the door was fiercely kicked open. Juelz rushed out of the room, looking furious. Without even glancing at Boden, he ran straight into the ultrasound room.
He was worried that Credence would force Dorothy to do something she disagreed with.
For example, he might take her away regardless of whether she wanted to go or not.
He knew just how much pain and suffering Dorothy’s heart had experienced because of him.
It was exactly because he knew how hateful Credence was that he wanted to kill Credence himself to avenge Dorothy.
Juelz’s biggest hurdle was that if he really did harm Credence, then Dorothy’s heart would be in even greater pain.
She loved Credence so much that she would rather silently bear all that pain than let anything happen to Credence.
“D*mn it! Credence, you really deserve to f*cking die!”
Juelz cursed from the bottom of his heart. He sped up and rushed towards the ultrasound room.
Suddenly, Juelz caught a glimpse of a tall figure from the corner of his eye. It was the man he reviled. He could not help but feel intense anger rising from within. He grabbed a huge trash can beside him and threw it at Credence!
