Chapter 375 I Can Have Some Fun

Third rib bone from the top, that’s where the heart is!
Jeremy intended to kill Melanie without hesitation..
His dark eyes slowly turned more intense, much like that of a bloodthirsty beast. “Melanie, why are you still alive?”
Melanie jumped backward and was high above the ground. She landed firmly on her feet by the window to support herself. She moved two more meters to the left before finally standing still on the ground.
After successfully dodging Jeremy’s killer move, she smiled. “You are not dead, too, pervert. So why can’t I?”
She happened to be standing right in the middle, between Credence and Jeremy.
When Credence saw this, he immediately pulled off his necktie and threw it on the ground. His face was devoid of any expression. It was a terrifying sight.
He spoke very slowly Jeremy, “If you want to avenge Germaine, then let’s join forces, and we’ll end Melanie’s life here.”
“Work with you? Never, not even in my next life!”
Jeremy didn’t move. His malicious eyes were fixed on Melanie. He sneered fiercely. “I don’t intend to interfere in your affairs, but you’ve hurt Germaine. I’m going to make you pay for that, Melanie. How about this, since you were once one of the top killers in Jenciga, I’ll show you some mercy. I won’t take your life. Just stab yourself, and we’ll call it even.”
Melanie was as cunning as a snake. He did want to kill her, but if he did, then there would be one less person to cause trouble for Credence.
This was especially true for a vicious woman like Melanie, she would be so much more useful alive than dead.
Just the thought of Credence having to be on guard all day and night for Melanie and her brutal counterattacks was a very pleasing thought for Jeremy.
Wasn’t there a saying for that?
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
All of Credence’s enemies were Jeremy’s temporary friends.
Melanie had walked the thin line between life and death several times. She understood Jeremy’s words clearly. She wasn’t much for nonsense. She casually walked to the table, grabbed a fruit knife, and stabbed her abdomen without even flinching. She flashed a faint smile to Jeremy and said, “Thank you.”
She released the handle of the knife then turned around and stared at Credence, as well as the reflective lights from his diamond cufflinks. She smiled, “Credence, Jeremy is a smart man. Since he doesn’t intend to join forces with you, do you still think that you can take me down?”
He asked her back, “What do you think?”
Credence’s face was just as calm as ever. After saying that, he pulled off his jacket and threw it on the seat. The black shirt fell as he walked over, and a gust of crazy cold wind blew at him. His strong and skinny back made his shirt bulge.
He looked very calm but his eyes were focused on Melanie, or he could be looking at nothing at all. He reached out to push the handle of the knife deeper into Melanie’s abdomen.
This was a swift and precise killing move.
Melanie retreated. She narrowly dodged his approach and rolled towards the window, then she jumped off the floor.
The moment she jumped, she pulled out the knife. She sliced at the window several times. The whole solid frame cracked and broke, leaving the shape of a spider web.
She turned around and smiled at Credence. “I haven’t seen you in years, and here you’re still trying to kill me. I’m hurt!  What am I to do about this? I just love how you’re treating me!”
“Credence, you know me. I show no mercy towards anyone who is ruthless towards me! That weak woman you care so much about is stronger than Rosalie in some aspects. She looks fun, you’d better keep a close eye on her.”
She lifted her leg and kicked the tempered glass. It broke into pieces.
This was followed by a loud crash. She leaped out of the window and disappeared without a trace.
Even though Jeremy had seen plenty of outlaws, he was still shocked by Melanie’s ferocity.
With such a sinister woman clinging on to Credence, he would be more than happy to stand aside and watch the fun.
Thinking on this, a chill ran through Jeremy’s body, but the smile on his lips widened. “Credence, you should be more careful.”
He then turned around and walked out.
“Mr. Sherman, we’ve never had any disputes. I don’t understand, why do you persist in harassing me?”
Credence frowned as he stared at Jeremy’s face. There was a sense of familiarity in his eyes. When he took a closer look, that familiarity disappeared.
“Do you really want to know?”
Jeremy turned around. His long and narrow eyes were filled with disgust. “Then why don’t you go back and ask that unconscious father of yours in Monticello!”
Credence’s face froze.
Sure enough, Victor’s investigation wasn’t wrong. Jeremy’s malice had something to do with his father.
There really was a need for him to search the old house where his father used to live.

Meanwhile, Dorothy, her daughter, and Germaine were guided by Wilson to a room on the fourth floor. There was a table full of delicious food in the middle.
Although she was still in shock, in order to not let Germaine worry, Dorothy forced herself to smile. “Germaine, you’re injured, I’m worried about you. I think you should rest here before going to Lenolie City.”
“I guess that’s the only thing I can do for now.”
Germaine shrugged, she didn’t care about the pain. Instead, she looked at Dorothy with concern and sighed deeply. “Dory, how are you doing?”
“Germaine, you don’t have to worry about me, I’m fine, really!”
Dorothy gently touched her daughter’s face who was sound asleep in her arms. She frowned and loosened her grip. “Belle is fine, and the baby in my womb is alright. What more could happen to me?”
Germaine smiled and then shouted, “What about Credence? He’s with that coquettish b*tch. Judging from how intimate they were, they’ve probably done it more than once already. Disgusting. Dory, what are you going to do?”
The deepest part of Dorothy’s heart seemed to have been badly pierced.
Ten days ago, Credence said that he cared about her and for the safety of her and their child, he had to transfer them to an uninhabited island as soon as possible. Marvin was the one who had to personally send her there.
She already sensed something was wrong back then.
Now that she thought about it, Melanie might have already been with Credence at this time. Therefore, he couldn’t wait to send her away. He wanted her to leave with Belle to clear any doubts she might have.
After that, she almost had a miscarriage. She gradually got disappointed in him and refused to see him anymore. She asked Juelz to take her away from the hospital which Credence had arranged for her to be in.
She had been away for more than ten days, but he had never once called her, nor send her a text message. Although she was very disappointed, she wasn’t particularly bothered about it.
After all, in their four years of marriage, once Credence got busy, he would sometimes be so engrossed with work, she’d not see him for a whole month or two.
However, this afternoon, she witnessed his intimate and passionate kiss with Melanie. Not only did he accompany that woman on her birthday, she even invited him to sleep with her…
This hurt Dorothy badly, as if her heart was being cut up with a knife.
Her slender hands were clenched tightly on her lap.
But her face was still as calm as ever. “Germaine, I came back from Monticello to look for Credence because I wanted to have another baby. I needed a child who could save Belle. Now that this has been achieved, I should be happy. As for the other things, they don’t belong to me. I shouldn’t have any more expectations.”
Everything she saw was solid proof that Credence had never liked her, much less love her.
Although she didn’t have much, she still had her dignity.
Since he didn’t love her, then she would let him go, she wouldn’t continue pestering him!
Germaine heard Dorothy loud and clear. This meant that she wanted to leave Credence for good. She could not help but shake her head and sigh. “Alas, all men are f*cking b*stards.”
She glanced at the dining table and realized that they had almost finished eating. She stood up and heaved a sigh of relief. She said, “Dory, Belle doesn’t look comfortable sleeping like that. Let’s head back to the hospital.”
“Okay.”
Dorothy picked Belle up, followed Germaine, and left the room.
When she went down to the third floor, she didn’t turn to look into the half-opened door. Instead, she lowered her head and slowly walked towards the second floor.
At the same time, Dorothy could feel a burning gaze staring at her, it was glued to her like a shadow. However, she didn’t turn to return its gaze!
