Dorothy stood aside and watched how Jeremy ruthlessly stepped down on Rosalie’s belly.
He used so much force that Rosalie almost fainted. Blood gushed out of her mouth.
Rosalie screamed.
It was shrill, almost bursting Dorothy’s eardrums.
Then, Dorothy didn’t see what exactly happened. She only knew that Jeremy kicked Rosalie again and again.
Rosalie’s body was lifted off of the ground, then landed with a crash over and over again.
When Jeremy was sure that she was on her last breath, he finally stopped and sneered. “Rosalie, since you had the guts to take Germaine hostage, you must have prepared yourself for my payback. So, did you enjoy that?”
Rosalie suppressed her pain, not saying a word. She didn’t even have the strength to even let out a sound, and her breathing was laboured.
Her eyes were swollen, her nose was broken, and blood was gushing out of her mouth. Both her arms were broken, and her nails were broken.
Had she been any ordinary woman, she would have fainted from the pain a long time ago. She would even have knelt down and begged Jeremy for mercy.
However, she didn’t cry nor plead. Instead, she opened her swollen eyes, her vicious gaze sweeping over Jeremy and Dorothy, then landing on Credence almost manically.
Her tears flowed, and she chuckled dazedly. “Credence, are you really going to watch Jeremy kick me to death like this? It doesn’t really matter to me since I’m all alone, but you really won’t be able to find your beloved daughter.”
Credence lowered his head, and he looked back at her with a calm expression. He was about to speak when Jeremy interrupted him with a sneer.
“Hey, you are almost at the end of your life, yet you are still talking so much.”
Jeremy squatted down and picked up the dagger that Rosalie had put against Germaine’s neck. He took out a lighter from his pocket and lit it up, then ran it up and down the blade until it turned red.
The next second, Jeremy held the dagger up high and plunged it right into Rosalie’s slightly open mouth, as casually as if he were drinking water.
His intention was to slice her tongue off so that she would not speak so much nonsense.
It did not matter who had hurt Germaine, he would make them die a terrible death.
Credence still cared about his status and image, and didn’t want to be too cruel in front of Dorothy. He was afraid he’d scare her.
However, Jeremy did not have such concerns at all.
He’d already shown Germaine his most brutal side. What else was there to hide?
At the sight of the blazing red dagger coming at her mouth, Rosalie was shocked out of her wits. She quickly begged Credence and Dorothy, “Credence, Dorothy, stop him! I… I’ll tell you where Belle is right away.”
She knew that she didn’t have any chips to bargain with Jeremy. With his personality, he’d take her life without blinking an eye.
On the other hand, she could still use Belle’s life to buy a chance for herself.
“Tell us where Belle is first. Then, Credence and I will consider saving you.”
Dorothy had watched Rosalie’s torment wordlessly, and she now let out a sneer. Rosalie was too pitiful.
She would only tell the truth when she was on the verge of death. What a b*tch!
There was a hissing sound.
Rosalie screamed.
A sharp pain came from her wrist. She looked down with difficulty, and saw the dagger in Jeremy’s hand plunge into her wrist, tearing her ligaments apart.
Rosalie thought that her eyes had misled her. When she realised that she could no longer move her right hand, she finally broke down and shrieked, “Jeremy Sherman, you monster! You’re a devil right from the depths of hell! Someone like you will never be able to get Germaine’s heart!”
“You’ve already whipped her once, haven’t you? How’d it work out for you? She doesn’t even want to look at you anymore, and she doesn’t even have the courage to continue living.”
“Does it feel good to be hated by the woman you love?”
“Jeremy, I curse you. You’ll never find a woman who truly loves you, not in this lifetime, and not even in the next. No woman will willingly marry you, and you’re destined to spend the rest of your life alone. This is your retribution for being so cruel to me.”
Benjamin’s injury had already been attended to. He led a string of doctors into the washroom, and was greeted by such a bloody scene.
At his orders, the doctors quickly lifted Germaine onto a stretcher to attend to her injuries. Benjamin hurried to Credence and his gaze swept over the bloodstains on his and Dorothy’s clothes. His brows furrowed in worry and he asked, “Mr. Scott, Mrs. Scott, are you okay?”
Dorothy shook her head. “We’re fine!”
Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed that Benjamin’s eyes fell on the bloodstains on Credence’s suit. She explained in a small voice, “It’s not our blood.”
Some of it were Germaine’s, and some of it were Rosalie’s.
Benjamin nodded relievedly. When he turned and met Jeremy’s savage eyes, he couldn’t help taking a few steps back.
A bloody and murderous aura emerged from Jeremy’s body. People would be scared when they saw him, even ghosts would be afraid.
Benjamin’s first instinct was that he definitely had a lot of blood on his hands, which was why it couldn’t be removed from him. It was as if one could smell the blood on him if one got close enough.
Jeremy looked up at Benjamin coldly, his thin lips pursed. “Why does a nobody like you have the right to interfere in Germaine’s matters?”
After that, he signalled to Wilson, Blade and Locus to herd the doctors away.
Jeremy then walked over to Germaine, seemingly slowly but actually quickly. He squatted down next to her and picked her up as gently as he could. He kicked the washroom’s door open and carried her out.
When Dorothy saw this, her heart burned with anxiety. She called out, “Wait, where are you taking Germaine to?”
With Jeremy’s personality, he couldn’t be bothered to respond. He left without even looking back.
The only reply that Dorothy got was a cold and bloody air breezing through the room.
She recalled how Germaine was almost tortured to death in Jeremy’s hands, and she was extremely worried. However, she was more worried about her daughter, who had been kidnapped by Rosalie’s men. She was in quite a dilemma.
Credence knew that Dorothy was guilt-ridden over Germaine, and she couldn’t rest assured with Jeremy taking Germaine away. He said to her, “Dorothy, you and Benjamin go take a look at Germaine. Leave this to me.”
“Alright then, I’ll leave Belle up to you!”
Dorothy nodded, as she took Benjamin with her and left in a hurry.
After everyone left, Credence didn’t even give Rosalie a chance to recover. His eyes narrowed and flashed coldly. He aimed a forceful kick right at Rosalie’s heart.
Rosalie spat out a mouthful of blood. It hurt so much that she did not even have the strength to cry, yet she still widened her eyes. She stared at Credence, then sneered, “Credence, if I die, your daughter will die as well.”
“It’s all because you’re not willing to exchange my life for hers.”
“If I don’t beat you up, are you going to spit it out?”
“No.” Rosalie smiled bitterly. “I just love seeing how much you want to kill me, but not being able to.”
F*ck, this woman was really such a b*tch.
Credence cursed in his heart. His gaze turned cold, and he was about to speak when his phone rang.
He took his phone out and swept his gaze over the screen. It was a call from someone unexpected.
