Chapter 172 Malicious

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

Early in the morning, Jonathan was still in a daze as he was immediately dragged cruelly out of bed towards Credence’s suite by Marvin, who was used to waking up early every morning.
Jonathan yawned as he squinted and grumbled, “Marv, what’s wrong with you? Why did you get up so early this morning?”
“Credence drank too much last night. It would be better for us to check on him earlier,” replied Marvin.
Marvin’s voice was low as he said so.
Upon hearing his words, Jonathan no longer complained. He went to Room 1606 and knocked on the door. He shouted, “Credence, rise and shine. Are you awake yet?”
It was quiet inside. Not a single sound could be heard.
He continued to knock a few times, but there was still no response. He could not help but turn his suspicious eyes towards Marvin, “Marv, what’s going on? Has Credence left?”
Marvin said firmly, “That’s impossible.”
Marvin said firmly. Just as he was about to call the hotel manager for a spare room card, the door was opened from the inside. A faint but familiar scent found its way right into Jonathan’s nose.
He took a sniff and almost cried out in surprise, “D*mn, Credence, did a woman come to your room last night?”
Based on his years of experience in dealing with women, it was clear that this was the remnants of a scent left by the intercourse between a man and a woman.
After saying so, Jonathan grew so excited that he almost got choked to death by his own saliva.
He quickly grabbed Marvin’s tan arms and hid behind him. Casting his gaze at the man who was holding a cigarette between his fingers, his gossipy nature burned brightly in his eyes.
Credence had not touched a woman in the past six years. Even when he got drunk, he detested the touch of a woman, let alone allow Rosalie to get close to him. Who was that woman from last night? How was she able to arouse Credence? Holy sh*t, this was an absolute surprise!
Marvin had been in the army for many years, so he was still a virgin. Jonathan froze upon hearing Marvin’s words. He looked at the man who was still smoking and asked, “Credence, did you call a woman to pleasure you last night?”
“No.”
Credence laid on the sofa cross-legged and his eyebrows knitted in a frown. After a long time, he raised his hand and covered his eyebrows to conceal the maliciousness in his eyes, looking like he wanted to kill someone.
He thought of the woman who had dared to take advantage of him when he had been drunk. His elongated and beautiful eyes were colder than a knife, and iciness flashed from his eyes.
After finishing the cigarette in his hand, he threw it into the ashtray and stood up, his face bearing no expression. His body emanated a frigid aura as he beckoned, “You two, come with me to the surveillance room.”
If he ever found that bold woman, he would grind her to pieces.
He had lived for over 30 years but had never suffered such a huge defeat.
“Credence, humph, have you been humiliated by a woman or something?!”
Jonathan was scared to death, so he hid behind Marvin and sized Credence up thoroughly. Although he wore a black shirt and a pair of trousers, there were obvious creases on his clothes. His handsome face looked so cold that it could freeze a person in an instant.
What could all of that mean?
It meant that either Credence was dissatisfied or that he had been taken advantage of by a woman.
However, the vague smell of love in the air proved that something must have happened.
So, Jonathan had made a guess. Who knew that his wild guess would be so close to the truth?
A loud sound could be heard.
The door was almost kicked to the ground by Credence.
He was so enraged that it was terrifying.
Jonathan was so scared that he trembled like a leaf in the wind. He grabbed Marvin’s arm and took in a long breath, “Marv, I was only taking a wild guess, but judging by Credence’s fury, I’m absolutely sure that he got taken advantage of by a woman last night.”
Credence, who was walking in front of them, stopped and glared at Jonathan with his sharp eyes.
“Ahem!”
Jonathan hurriedly reached his hand out to cover his sore mouth, growing more quiet than a dead chicken.
Darn it. He had accidentally exposed Credence’s dirty deeds. Would he be killed next?
“Serves you right!”
Marvin felt impatient with Jonathan’s clinginess. He shook Jonathan off by using only a quarter of his strength and spoke in a deep voice, “Credence hates coming in contact with women, including Rosalie. How could he get bullied by a woman?”
“D*mn, Marv, you’re too simple and innocent. You’ve lived for 30 years and haven’t experienced a woman’s touch yet, right? I’ll let you have a taste of it tonight. I can guarantee that you’ll have a good time!”
“F*ck off.”
The two men in front of him were so terrified that Jonathan, who was weak as a twig, could only hold his tongue and let the gossip he wanted to tell fizzle out on his tongue.
Dorothy was the only woman who could get close to Credence in all these years. Could she be that mystery woman from the night before?
Could it really be her?
That possibility was quite high, right?
After all, Dorothy had actually shown up at the banquet the night before, and even Marvin’s father had wanted Marvin to marry her.
The more Jonathan thought about it, the more relaxed he felt.
As long as there was another woman who could replace that pretentious b*tch Rosalie, he would be more than happy to let that happen.

Two hours later, Credence walked out of the surveillance room, a bone-chilling coldness emanating from his entire body.
There had been nothing in the footage, and he could not find anything, not even a single clue.
It seemed that he had indeed been set up by that woman.
What made him even more furious was that he had not done anything like that in the past six years, yet she had actually been able to make him feel a sense of unparalleled happiness.
Both his mind and body had been satiated, and he felt a type of happiness that no power or fortune could buy.
The moment his desires had been let out and his mind blown, Credence had a vague feeling that he had experienced it all before.
However, not even once had he been able to see the woman’s face throughout the whole process.
It was the first time that he had been satiated after so many years. He slowly turned around and looked at Jonathan and Marvin, letting out a smile that could light up the whole room.
“Find that woman as soon as possible. Either she dies, or she becomes mine for the rest of her life.”
Jonathan could not help but ask, “What about Rosalie though?”
“She is just a woman that I will marry, that’s all!”
Credence smiled and let out a sneer, “It’s normal for a successful man to have one or two women he doted but not be loved in secret.”
What the f*ck? Was he intending to take Dorothy as his secret lover?!
Jonathan quietly covered his mouth.
He would never disclose Dorothy’s identity, not even if he got beaten to death.
When the three of them walked out of the hotel doors, they happened to run into Rosalie.
Their encounter was not a coincidence at all.
The previous night, upon learning from Yvonne that Dorothy and Credence had both appeared in Talco Hotel at the same time, Rosalie had been unable to sleep for the entire night.
She had hastily eaten her breakfast and driven over to the hotel immediately.
As soon as she met Credence, Rosalie covered up the iciness on her face by showing a perfect, happy smile and walked towards Credence charmingly. She could not help but hold his arm as she beamed, “Credence, have you had breakfast? I know an amazing restaurant nearby. Shall we go and eat there together?”
Credence frowned upon smelling her strong scent.
The perfume that Rosalie used was sweet and tender, but it could not be compared to the light, gentle scent of the woman from the previous night that immediately attracted his soul and his mind, making him lose all rationality.
Credence looked at her and said, “There’s something urgent that I have to do in the company, so I’ll head back there first. We’ll do that next time.”
His rejection was simple and plain.
Seeing how perfunctory he was treating her, Rosalie felt really uncomfortable. She bit her lips and said in a hesitant manner, “Then, did you have a good time last night?”
“I’m busy now. I don’t want to talk about such ridiculous topics.”
When Credence saw Jonathan and Marvin driving the car over, he walked past Rosalie, opened the car door and immediately got into the car.
“Okay, Credence, goon with your business. I’ll visit you when I’m free.”
Rosalie followed him to the car. Before the door of the car could close, she suddenly threw herself into Credence’s arms and kissed him on the lips.
After the kiss, she looked at him and saw that there was no expression on the handsome face of the man she had always loved. When he turned around, there was a hint of viciousness and coldness in the bottom of his eyes.
Why was this happening?
Was it because he had really done the deed with Dorothy?
Why had Dorothy come back? Why did she want to take Credence away from her?
Rosalie stood there, as if she had fallen into a whirlpool of pain. She viciously cursed Dorothy over and over again.
She had lots of tricks up her sleeve. She thought to herself, “Dorothy, just you wait! This time, I’ll definitely end you”!
