Chapter 160 Unspeakable Pain

The game started on time at eight o’clock in the evening.
Juelz, Credence, and Marvin, who arrived just in time, had warmed themselves up. Then went to their own divisions and waited for the referee to blow the whistle.
Dorothy stood some distance away, and she suddenly felt a cold chill down her back.
Credence, the man who she just was unable to forget, was wearing a black suit. He looked familiar with his handsome and elegant face, but the look on his face was extremely foreign to her.
When they passed each other, he did not even cast her a glance.
Dorothy blinked her watery eyes and flashed Juelz a sweet smile. She walked towards him and said in a low voice, “Remember, it doesn’t matter if you don’t get the chance. Your safety is the top priority.”
Juelz nodded as he firmly grabbed her wrist. He smiled in a charming way as he answered, “Dory, look at me. I promise I will complete this mission successfully. Just stay here and wait for my call. Listen to my command.”
“I know, but it’s better to be safe than sorry, so you should be more careful.”
For some reason, Dorothy’s mind was in turmoil. She felt as if something bad was about to happen.
“I know that too.”
Juelz waved at Dorothy indifferently, and then turned around and stepped into his division to get on his horse. He seemed eager to compete.
Jonathan could see many beautiful women present, and he was busy flirting with them. He had not signed up to join the race, and only took part as a referee.
“One, two, three, go!”
Jonathan blew the whistle, and about twenty to thirty fine horses flew out like sharp arrows, galloping towards the finish line about 30 kilometers away.
Strangely enough, although the lighting at night was not that great, and most of the participants wore black suits, Dorothy was still able to tell Credence apart from all the other contestants at first sight.
He rode on a fast and wild horse, his speed faster than the wind. Credence looked really charming, and yet he looked still as calm as ever, as if riding a horse was equivalent to walking.
That must be what a real king looked like.
Due to Credence’s indifferent attitude just then, Dorothy felt upset and could not calm down. She was in a bad state, and was obviously absent-minded.
Seeing Dorothy standing alone on the empty periphery of the grass, Jonathan squeezed his way over and shouted for her. Only then did she come back to her senses and respond to him politely with a demure smile.
He asked, “Who are you looking at? Are you looking at Credence?”
Jonathan excitedly took in the embarrassment on Dorothy’s face. He handed her a bottle of water and opened another one for himself. After drinking the water, he squinted and asked playfully, “Dorothy, you’ve loved Credence for so many years. Can you really watch from the sidelines as he marries Rosalie? Won’t you feel sad? Won’t your heart be in pain?”
Dorothy’s heart, which had long been hurt until it grew full of holes and bruises, was suddenly struck by Jonathan’s question. She felt incredibly embarrassed, but much more of what she felt was pain.
She interlaced her fingers tightly, and then clenched them once more. She took a deep breath, calming herself down, then replied with a chuckle, “There’s nothing for me to feel sad about. I was still able to live peacefully for the last six years without him.”
“Mr. Stanton, the relationship between Credence and I have become a thing of the past. No matter who he marries in the future, it has nothing to do with me.”
“If we still have another opportunity to meet again in the future, I hope you won’t make such a ridiculous joke anymore. Thank you.”
Although she felt a sense of unspeakable pain in her heart, Dorothy still bore a tranquil expression on her face, a perfect mask with no cracks.
Jonathan had not expected her to answer so flawlessly. He gave it a second thought, but he was still unwilling to see Credence marry Rosalie, so he said slowly, “In truth, Credence still likes you. However, I don’t know if you’ve ever known his true character. Hmm, how should I put this?”
“Ever since he was young, he has never been interested in women. Whenever we went out for fun and drinks, he never needed any service from any woman. He wouldn’t even let any woman get one meter close to him.”
“However, you were the only woman that could still live peacefully even after sleeping with him, and even became the wife that he approved of.”
“I know he has done a lot of things to hurt you in the past, and he has made too many mistakes. It must be difficult for you to forget about all of it and start anew with him.”
“However, Credence has now lost his memories, and the nerves in his brain would be crushed by the endless blood clots at any moment. He could fall at any moment…”
“Dorothy, are you really not going to forgive him, even until the end of his life?”
The nerves on his brain might explode at any moment?
Did that mean Credence would die at any moment?
Why had Juelz never told her about that?
Dorothy looked at Jonathan with suspicion, and she seemed surprised as she asked, “Are you telling me the truth?”
A while ago, she could not feel anything unusual from Credence’s mental state, apart from the fact that the chill emanating from his body had become even more terrifying.
Of course, all of that was false.
He was lying to her.
Jonathan felt a surge of mixed feelings inside his heart, but showed nothing on his face. He pretended to look sorrowful and said, “I have said my fill. As for whether you are willing to go back to him or not, it all depends on you. No matter what decision you make in the end, I will always support you.”
After he said that, Jonathan sighed and withdrew his gaze from Dorothy. He turned around and quickly slipped away.
What the f*ck, acting was a hundred times more tiring for Jonathan than f*cking a woman for hundreds of times.
He was a handsome man with great wealth and a hot body, thus he was only suited to enjoy sleeping with a bunch of beautiful women and enjoy the warmth of their soft bodies.
Jonathan turned around and ran away after telling that lie, leaving Dorothy where she was. Her originally anxious mood had been heightened by his words.
If what Jonathan said was true, then what should she do?
Should she break her peaceful life and intervene in Credence and Rosalie’s relationship? Should she fall back into such a complicated love triangle and relive all that pain and despair that she had experienced many years ago?
As she was lost in her thoughts, the competition had already reached its final stage.
Dozens of horses galloped at a high speed, and only waves of hazy dust could be seen.
Juelz went all out and chased after Credence from behind, sticking close to him
As for Marvin, he was being chased by a young man. He had a vague headache coming on, and did not have the heart to pay attention to anything else.
On the day Juelz had learned that Credence was going to take part in the competition, he had secretly driven to the terrain to look at the landscape.
He knew that after crossing the bursting grass field, they would be welcomed by a hillside with a large slope. The bushes there were dense, and it was normal for horses to trip there.
Seeing that Credence had already entered the hillside, Juelz whipped his white horse and followed closely from behind. His dark eyes were constantly looking for a chance to attack him.
The bushes that were about to come into sight were around the height of a person. Another three seconds, and the perfect opportunity would arise.
Juelz quickly reached a hand out to take out a specific item, throwing it at Credence, no, at the dark horse that Credence was riding on!
