Chapter 142 His Fatal Weakness

Book:My Husband Hates Me Published:2024-5-1

Juelz was anxiously searching for Dorothy. By the time he found her, she was sitting blankly on the concrete floor, trembling all over.
“Dory, what’s with you? Why are you here?”
After he had been finished with his treatment, he quickly woke up from his sleep. He had waited in the consulting room for almost an hour, but Dorothy never came back. As time ticked by, he was worried if anything had happened to Dorothy while she was looking for Credence.
Good news and bad omens continued to prowl in his mind. Gradually, Juelz, taken over by his worries, had rushed out of the consulting room and gone to Credence’s ward to find her.
However, apart from Dr. Moore, no one else was in the room.
Neither Credence nor Dorothy was there.
Juelz rushed to the gates of the hospital, just in time to see Credence driving away alone in a black Maybach. However, Dorothy was still nowhere to be found.
At that moment, Juelz was so agitated that his entire body was trembling.
He re-entered the hospital, started from the lobby on the first floor, and combed the entire hospital, floor by floor.
The moment he saw Dorothy, he felt like a huge stone was lifted off his chest. He wiped the cold sweat off his face and rushed forwards to hold her tightly in his arms like he was holding a precious treasure. He asked, “Dory, did that b*stard, Credence bully you and make trouble for you again?”
Taking in the warm and soothing breaths from Juelz’s body, Dorothy’s empty eyes gradually recovered its light. She observed Juelz’s worried face and spoke slowly, softly, as if she was on her deathbed, “Juelz, Credence said that he wants to forget about me, about our marriage from the past four years, and everything between him and I.”
“Are you insane? Didn’t I tell you a long time ago that something is wrong with his brain? Don’t mess around with a lunatic! When he recovers, he’ll remember you, he’ll remember everything good about you.”
Juelz wiped her tears away sadly. He felt despondent as in one corner of her heart, Credence was still the most important.
The d*mned man’s simple words and expressions could easily affect Dorothy’s emotions, making her involuntarily laugh or cry.
How come he couldn’t be the man to influence her mood whenever he wanted?
If he could do that, it would be best!
After Juelz’s kind comfort, Dorothy finally regained a little bit of her energy, and color seeped into her pale face.
Remembering that her daughter’s health was in a state of emergency, she suppressed the strong bitterness and sadness in the bottom of her heart. She looked at Juelz with a grateful smile, “Juelz, thank you!”
As he supported her as they walked out, her forehead crashed into the door frame with a bang. If it weren’t for Juelz’s help, her forehead would have bled.
Juelz grinned affectionately, “My dear Dory, if you really want to thank me, then marry me and devote your life to me. I will give you everything, even my company!”
Dorothy had never paid any attention to this love-seeking behavior of his.
At that moment, his hands were tightly holding her waist as he helped her out of the hospital gates, heading for the parking lot.
Dorothy’s face was slightly warm because his powerful hands were holding her, not to mention the high temperature of his palms.
After getting in the car, the driver started the engine and hit the road. He drove slowly towards the city center.
Juelz’s palm was still on her waist, as if it had rooted itself there-
Bereft of any word, Dorothy stared at him, hinting to him that his hands were still on her waist.
He smiled brightly, “Dory, I just went through all those needles pricking through my scalp, so I’m feeling cold all over. Don’t be so petty. Let me use you to keep myself warm.”
Dory was struck speechless.
At that instant, Dorothy really wanted to knock him out.

Shortly after Credence had left the consulting room, Dr. Moore pushed open a small hidden door behind the white curtain and walked inside.
The inside of the room was like a small guest room. A woman with exquisite makeup on stood by the French window in high heels, and her gloomy eyes were staring straight at him. She smiled coldly and haughtily, “How did it go?”
“It went good.”
Dr. Moore was afraid of Rosalie’s arrogant manner. He walked over and stood about two meters away from her. He nodded respectfully and said, “Mr. Scott himself proposed to get rid of all the memories about his ex-wife, Dorothy, after I led him to it.”
Rosalie finally smiled, “Good.”
She then took a bank card out from her bag and handed it over to him, “Remember, as long as he comes back here in the future, you must hypnotize him to forget about Dorothy.”
“Yes, yes. I understand.”
Dr. Moore took the bank card with excitement, his face filled with joy.
Both ends of the deal were satisfied. After contemplating something for a moment, Rosalie explained to Dr. Moore some details that must never be neglected. A while later, she carried her handbag and swayed her slender waist as she walked out of the hospital.
Credence’s fatal weakness was that he would never touch a woman that had been taken by another man.
Therefore, when he had been in a coma due to the car accident, she had erased the memory of her being taken advantage of by gangsters.
Therefore, she had constantly searched for photos and evidence of Dorothy and Juelz’s affairs and anonymously mailed them to Credence.
This trick worked particularly well as Dorothy’s daughter had blonde hair, blue eyes, and snow-colored skin. It was obvious that she was no daughter of his.
With Credence’s borderline obsession with a woman’s purity, he would definitely want to get rid of Dorothy’s memories as fast as he possibly could.
She would only get her real chance once he completely forgot about Dorothy.
In the parking lot, Rosalie sat in the warm and comfortable car, her sparkling eyes swirling with joy.
From now on, she would make sure that she was the only woman in Credence’s mind!
On the other side, Dorothy was brought to Juelz’s office by him. She had been in low spirits ever since, and he arranged for her to rest in his private lounge.
“Dory, there’s an emergency meeting that I need to take care of. You can sleep for a while first, don’t think about anything and don’t overthink. Even if the world ends later, I’ll protect you first.”
Dorothy’s crestfallen mood was cured by his warm smile. She nodded with a chuckle and said, “Alright, chop chop, go ahead with your own business!”
“Good girl. I’ll come to you when I’m done.”
Juelz carefully adjusted the air conditioner to the right temperature and found a thin quilt to cover her with. He only left reluctantly when his assistant started nagging him.
Faced with his actions, Dorothy felt warmth and an indescribably complicated emotion in her heart.
Juelz was too kind to her, but her heart had long given up on finding romance. She was destined to let him down in the end!
She lay on the comfortable big bed and brooded over it for a long time. Soon, Dorothy gradually fell asleep.
She was awakened by an urgent ringtone from her cell phone.
She squinted her eyes, picked up the phone beside the pillow and answered it, “Hello, Dorothy speaking!”
When the other party on the phone mentioned Belle’s name, Dorothy’s heart suddenly jumped with fear. She sat up from the bed and asked in a trembling voice, “Wait, Belle… What happened to my daughter?”
