Chapter 127 Excruciating Pain

Caleb and Linda were confused. They stared at each other for a few seconds. Finally, Caleb braced himself and asked, “Credence, what’s this?”
Credence narrowed his eyes by a little as he lit a cigarette. He took a puff and turned his gaze towards Victor.
Victor sensed Credence’s sharp gaze and immediately understood what he meant. He took two steps forward and stood before Caleb and Linda. He then picked up the stack of solid evidence he had worked hard to compile. A contemptuous smile appeared on his shrewd face.
Victor lightly coughed twice and spoke with fervor and assurance, “Two years ago, Mr. Scott’s father lost his footing on the balcony. On the surface, it seemed like Dorothy was the one who had pushed him, but the truth suggests otherwise. Dorothy may have likely been framed, and the person who had caused Dorothy to take the blame is very likely to be Rosalie, your own daughter.”
“That’s impossible.”
Caleb had been working in the business world for many years. Compared to Linda’s blank look, it seemed that he had understood the meaning behind Victor’s words. As he looked at Credence’s cold face, panic flashed across his heart, and he started to sweat profusely. He hurriedly explained, “Credence, there must be a mistake. Rosie loves you and only you. How could she try to hurt your father? Besides, Rosie is my daughter and I know her very well. Although she might throw tantrums at times, she would never hurt your father. Why don’t you reinvestigate this matter…”
Linda finally regained her senses and defended Rosalie coldly, “Credence, didn’t the investigation produce results in the first place already? Dorothy was clearly the one who had pushed your father down to hit his head and caused him to be comatose. Why are you suddenly suspecting Rosalie now?”
“That’s impossible, simply impossible. Rosie is kind, and she would never do such a thing.”
Four years ago, Credence’s father had taken a fancy to the kind Dorothy, and he did not like the devious Rosalie at all. He had plotted a plan to make Dorothy sleep with Credence. In the end, Credence had to marry Dorothy.
Rosalie, who had not achieved the goal of marrying Credence, held a grudge against Credence’s father. She had spent a lot of money to bribe the old butler of the Scott family, Roger, to place hallucinogenic drugs in his food. In the end, even though Dorothy had just been giving his father a gift, from everyone’s perspective, it seemed like Dorothy was the one who had pushed him off the balcony.
Rosalie had executed her plan in an extremely secretive way and she had never told her parents about it. Even Caleb and Linda thought that their daughter was innocent.
Hearing that, Credence smiled coldly and viciously. His eyes met with Rosalie’s, who was rushing downstairs from the second floor. Although it was only for a while, Rosalie felt as if she were being stared at by a fierce eagle. Her body was trembling, and tears quickly flowed down from her soft, fair and pure face. She cried out, “Credence, I didn’t do it. Trust me, I really didn’t do anything to your father.”
She lifted her head and stared at Credence in a daze. The affection and devastation in her eyes could only be felt by herself, not anyone else.
Credence sneered and walked to the coffee table. He took out a photo of her and Roger having a secret conversation in a small stall. He threw it at her face, saying, “If so, why did you look for Roger the day before my father’s accident? Why would my father, who had always been healthy, suddenly have serious gastric problems and needed to be rescued in the hospital the next day?”
Rosalie stared at the photo, which was solid evidence that she was the culprit, and a bad feeling rose in her heart. However, she still tried to look calmly on the surface. She shook her head in a strong manner and cried, “I just happened to meet him when I was shopping that day. I went there to buy some fruits that you liked. Credence, don’t you believe me?”
“Credence, I will definitely make you believe me.”
She suddenly held a sharp fruit knife in her hands. She gritted her teeth and stabbed her own fair neck with it.
Fresh blood began to gush out immediately.
Rosalie’s face turned pale as excruciating pain came from the wound. Her hand that was holding the fruit knife trembled uncontrollably. When she saw Credence still looking at her coldly with no expression on his face, she gritted her teeth and increased the force of her hand on the knife even more. The pain was so horrible that she started shedding tears.
“Credence, if you’re so certain that I was the one who hurt your father, then… Well, I will give you my life. Then, we’ll be even.”
Linda looked at her daughter, who was standing there in a white dress that had long been soaked in blood. Her heart ached so much that she couldn’t help but cry out loud, “Rosie, why are you so silly? You aren’t the one who caused the incident, so why must you die? If someone has to die, it has to be Dorothy!”
Caleb sighed, “Rosie, you’re so stupid. If you’ve been wronged, you can still prove yourself with words. Why must you use such a silly method to prove your innocence?”
His face was also full of grief.
Seeing Rosalie’s entire family put on an act as they cried hysterically, Benjamin and Victor looked at each other in tacit understanding. They shook their heads as this family of three was just too hypocritical and shameless.
Benjamin, in particular, was secretly shocked by what he had heard.
Rosalie’s acting was immaculate, and her motives were incredibly driven. No wonder Dorothy, who was gentle and elegant, could not defeat her. She had even been forced to divorce Credence because of Rosalie, who had made them end up as familiar strangers.
“You, innocent?”
Credence sneered and walked over to her with his long legs. He looked at Rosalie, who was shivering from the pain, and he suddenly raised his right hand high into the air. He then gave her a hard slap on the face, the swinging of his arm giving out a gust of wind!
“Ouch!”
Her miserable screams could be heard. Rosalie was knocked onto the ground, and his palm print could be seen on her fair face.
Credence looked down at the disheveled woman on the ground from above. His thin lips twitched as he laughed lightly, “Since you’ve already committed the crime, I’ll definitely be able to find evidence sooner or later. You’d better confess now, so that I’ll give you and the Fisher family a chance to live!”
Rosalie resisted the heart-wrenching pain and said sadly, “Credence, I didn’t do it. I really didn’t do it. Why won’t you believe me?”
The tables had turned. No one could stand at the victor’s side and control other people’s lives forever.
At that moment, she finally understood how Dorothy had felt when Credence would not believe her no matter what she said.
Rosalie’s graceful figure, along with her fake pathetic airs, looked especially alluring.
Yet, Credence turned a blind eye to those. His features were handsome, but there was only a cold expression on his face, “You’ve done too many terrible things. I would be a fool to believe you again!”
As soon as he finished speaking, he turned around and left, leaving behind some cruel words, “The day I find the evidence will be the day the whole Fisher family dies.”
Hearing that, Rosalie clenched her fists in pain as tears rolled down from the corners of her eyes.
She was well aware of how cruel he was, but in the past, she had been happy to add fuel to the fire whenever she saw Credence acting so ruthless and vicious towards Dorothy.
It was only when such ruthlessness was cast on her instead that she understood how painful it actually was!
At one side, Jonathan and Benjamin had turned a deaf ear to Linda’s scolding. They had already led several tall and strong doctors to tie Caleb’s hands and feet up. They ignored his struggles and screams as they quickly pulled out medical tools and drew 400cc of blood from Caleb’s arm.
Rosalie ignored her parent’s screams. She stood up from the ground and suddenly pulled the dagger by its handle out from her neck, allowing the blood to pour over her face and clothes like spring water.
She then fiercely whispered to herself, “Credence, just you wait. I won’t let go of you, never, not unless I die!”
When love turned into an obsession mixed with grudges, it could easily twist one’s initially pure heart into a vicious and terrible one!
