Chapter 91 Suspicious

Benjamin received a phone call from Credence and followed his orders. Not only did he buy a brand-new suit, but he also brought a set of steaming hot breakfast for him.
As soon as he opened the door and walked in, Benjamin felt Credence’s coldness wafting through, so cold that he could not help but shudder.
“Mr. Scott, here are the clothes you asked for.”
Benjamin shook the bag in his hand and then said with concern, “It’s almost eight o’clock. Mr. Scott, you have gastric problems. You should eat something first.”
“No need.”
The coldness in his eyes made the atmosphere chilly. He took the bag from Benjamin’s hand and walked into the bathroom without another word. After changing into the black suit, he threw away the pants he had taken off without hesitation.
He had only placed the black coat on Rosalie casually, as he had felt pity for her earlier. When he understood that Dorothy had been drugged with Mosemary which had caused her to lose her senses and attacked people, the pity he had for Rosalie turned into disgust.
It had been four years. While it was true that he rarely cared about Dorothy and disliked her, he still knew her personality very well.
She was a woman who was reluctant to kill even an ant or a cockroach. She had suffered and endured every type of hardship in their four-year marriage. How could a woman like that be vicious enough to murder her own sister?
Anyone that could murder in public was either an idiot or a lunatic.
When the door was opened, Credence frowned and looked at Benjamin. He still had breakfast in his hands. After a long while, he rubbed his temples with his fingers and walked out in heavy footsteps.
Benjamin caught up to him and asked, “Mr. Scott, are you going to the company or …”
“I’m going to the emergency room at the opposite block.”
After a while, he asked coldly, “How is the video of Dorothy committing murder that’s being circulated over the internet being handled?”
“Don’t worry, Mr. Scott. It’s almost done. Apart from a few keyboard warriors who can’t make it viral, we’ve deleted it from most major news sources due to our connections.”
“Wait for me in the car first.”
Credence’s handsome face tensed and he did not say anything else. He slowly took a cigarette and a lighter out of his pocket. He lit the cigarette and took a few puffs with his gloomy face. Under the curling white smoke, his eyes turned cold and ruthless, like a wolf was about to pounce. It was as if that had always been his true colors.
Was Mr. Scott doubting Rosalie?
Thank the heavens, for Mr. Scott had finally come to his senses.
At that moment, Benjamin felt all kinds of feelings welling up inside of him.

In the emergency room on the second floor…
Rosalie, who was supposed to be dying and in need of surgery, was sitting at the operating table. Her fair face bore a dark expression, not showing any other emotion.
She took out a bottle of red wine and a wineglass from a storage cabinet. After thinking for a long time, she still decided to pour some wine into the glass and drank a few sips.
She only took half a sip so that there wouldn’t be any traces of alcohol on her breath.
However, her love for drinking was the same as how much she loved Credence. Upon starting to drink it, she would get addicted. The more she drank, the more she wanted it for herself!
This time, Dorothy would definitely end up in prison.
Not only would she be a woman in prison, but she would also be a beautiful woman in prison at that. A lot of unimaginable things could happen at any given time, and she would even lose her life easily!
As long as Dorothy died, Credence would definitely belong to her.
Staring at the red and enchanting liquid in the glass, Rosalie smirked elatedly.
When she had been setting up the trap, she had wrapped herself in lots of soft cotton cloth. She had even deliberately worn the loose and ugly hospital gown. No one would notice anything unusual about her appearance at all.
She had also asked someone to secretly dig a hole in the lawn where she would fall. There were lots of thick mattresses along with several blood bags, covered by a thin layer of grass on top.
Thus, when she had lured Dorothy to push her down, nothing would happen to her even if she fell straight from the third floor. She would be completely fine.
Before she could finish drinking the wine, her phone rang.
After glancing at the caller ID, Rosalie gestured to the female doctor, who was standing respectfully by one side, to hand the phone over to her.
As soon as the call was connected, Linda’s voice came from the other side, “Ro… Rosie, when I went to buy you breakfast, I saw Credence walking towards the emergency room. He must be looking for you. Quick, you should lie down on the operating table and pretend that you are having an operation. I think he saw me. Hurry up, our family has worked hard for so long already. Don’t let it all go to waste!”
“It’s fine. I’m all ready.”
Rosalie hung up and threw the phone into the hands of an attending doctor coldly. She ordered, “Keep this for me for now.”
When the female chief physician heard that Credence was about to walk in, she asked in a frightened voice, “Miss Fisher, what should we do next?”
Rosalie might appear as gentle and innocent, but deep down, she was full of cunning schemes that made people shudder in fear.
Had the physician known how vicious she was, she would never have gotten involved in the whole situation, no matter how much money she had been given.
It was too late for regrets, for she had no choice but to carry on with the act until it ended!
“Even if Credence is coming here to kill someone, he will kill me first. What are you afraid of?”
Rosalie snorted with disdain, “Hurry up and inform the other doctors to come over and prepare to make a fake scene of me having an operation.”
Starting from the night before, she had lots of videos that had been sent over from the pinhole camera that had been installed in the crystal lamp on the ceiling of the ward.
In the video, she witnessed with her own eyes that despite the fact that Credence had seen Dorothy pushing her down from the window and had become a murderer, he still hugged Dorothy and kissed her neck. His expression had been filled with pain and affection.
From his closed eyes, Rosalie could tell at a glance that he had fallen in love with Dorothy. He had fallen in love with the woman that she had hated and envied for so many years, yet she could never measure up to her.
Rosalie clutched the glass of wine tightly, and her face turned ghastly pale.
Things had escalated so far that everyone knew about the incident. She did not believe that Credence could rescue Dorothy from prison.
After Dorothy went to jail, it would not be up to him to decide her survival.
Rosalie closed her eyes and allowed the female doctor to smear blood on her body. They put on an act of trying hard to save her.

When Credence arrived at the door of the emergency room, Linda went up to him in horror. Her eyes were bloodshot, “Credence, she’s still in the emergency room. I don’t know how she’s doing.”
He frowned impatiently and suddenly asked, “Have you ever heard of Mosemary?”
Looking at the bad expression on his face, Linda stammered and asked, “Mose… what? Credence, I… I didn’t hear you clearly. Could you repeat it?”
Apart from Caleb who knew a smidge more, Linda had been completely kept in the dark about Rosalie’s plan. She had only done what Caleb had asked her to do.
“It’s nothing.”
Realizing that Linda did not know anything, Credence pinched the spot between his eyebrows. He smiled so coldly that one would feel a chill run down their spine.
After waiting for about twenty minutes, the female lead physician opened the emergency room doors and invited Credence in. She handed him a set that consisted of a clean disinfected gown and a mask while saying, “Mr. Scott, Miss Fisher is in a very critical state. She wants to see you one last time.”
“What a coincidence. I want to see her too.”
Credence quirked his lips. The smile on his face grew colder!
