Lorenzo’s pov
The shock which had filled up Mia’s eyes moments after I had leaned over her on the couch, was quick to morph into fear right after I had dared her to repeat what she had previously said. Although, that only lasted for about a minute, because right after that, defiance slowly filled her eyes which was still locked with mine.
“What’s wrong? Cat’s got your tongue? All I asked was for you to repeat what you previously said.” I drawled out while watching as she averted her gaze to gulp emptily, and when she locked eyes with mine once again, the deviance was back in it.
And she was still yet to get a word out, which was starting to irritate me.
“You’re yet to repeat what you previously said. Or, are you ready to sing like I asked you to?” I continued.
She stared into my eyes as she responded in a low but defiance filled voice. “No, I refuse to.”
That prompted a chuckle out of me, because she was being really amusing right now.
“Are you joking right now? Because this is really funny.” I drawled out through an amused laugh while still staring down at her, watching as she pursed her lips while her eyes shot daggers at me.
No woman has ever looked at me with fire in their eyes like she was doing right now, and I’d be lying if I ever try to claim that the look wasn’t grating on my nerves in an unfamiliar way.
Things like this has never grated on my nerves before, because I’ve never experienced it until right now.
All the women I’ve encountered fell down at my feet. They either regard me with desire in their eyes, or fear. One of the two must be obvious in their eyes.
Desire has never been in Mia’s eyes whenever she stared at me. It was always a slight resistance here and there, and fear. But, never this defiance that I’m currently staring into right now.
And it was really amusing to me, because it didn’t scare me. Of course not. Instead, I found it intriguing… and exciting.
It felt like some sort of fun challenge to me, because I’d like to spank that defiance out of her because frankly, it seems like what she’s asking for without even realizing it.
“Are you seriously trying me right now?” I spoke up after a few moments when she was still yet to begin singing.
Frankly, I don’t even care about her singing anymore right now.
She narrowed those defiance filled eyes at me and shrugged her shoulders before finally responding.
“You’re all mouth.”
It felt like I hadn’t heard her properly at first, but from the satisfied look dancing over her face right now, I knew I had definitely heard her properly. I regarded her quietly for a few seconds while trying to figure her out from the look on her face right now, but it surprisingly has nothing away.
“Is this you indirectly asking me for death?” I breathed out in amusement and when she just blinked once, it prompted a chuckle out of me as I slowly pulled away from the couch until I was standing straight once again. I clicked my tongue against my teeth while staring down at her while silently contemplating on what to do next.
“If this is your plan to indirectly ask for death, then I do not even feel sorry to disappoint you. Frankly, your death won’t ever come this easily, so, if you even want to push me to give it to you, you’re going to have to try harder, hm?”
Once I was done speaking, I turned around and was about to walk away towards the direction of my bedroom, but the next words she spoke stopped me in my tracks at once.
“You won’t kill me anyway.” The words had been mumbled, but I heard them just fine, and that was what prompted me into instantly turning back around till I was staring down at her once again.
“What did you say?”
She hesitated for a few moments at first before giving in after letting out a long exhale. “I said… you wouldn’t kill me anyway.”
“What made you think so?” I inquired, with my face giving nothing away. The fact that she was being right, right now, didn’t sit right with me in any way.
“Well, you’ve mentioned it a lot, countless times, but you’re still yet to kill me. It seems like you’re never going to do it.”
I regarded her even closely while trying to figure out how she was able to figure this out. I hadn’t realized that it had begun to seem like I was all bluff and no action from me mentioning it countless times and not acting on it yet.
“You know, if I knew you were this eager to die, I wouldn’t have brought it up a lot, would have left it as a surprise.” I murmured and I watched as her eyes widened a little at once.
“You don’t need to worry about why I’m yet to act on my words. You’ve clearly not figured it out yet, but I have a plan that’s going to be put into action soon, and that’s when your death is going to be useful because it’s going to seal the entire plan.” Even before I had finished speaking, her eyes had widened even more and fear had gathered in her eyes once again.
There was no damn plan and I’m doing nothing but bluffing right now, but she doesn’t need to know that.
“Anyways, get up.” I spoke moments later, not giving her any time to properly assimilate what I had just dropped on her. Her breath audibly stuttered as she spoke. “What?”
I rolled my eyes this time, finding her switch from defiance to fear amusing. “Don’t make me do it for you.”
When she lifted off the couch, I was proved right about the length of the dress because it stopped mid tights. It was pink in color and it looked so pretty against her creamy skin.
“You’ve become really mouthy, way too mouthy for my liking. It seems like you need a reminder of where your place is between us.” I spoke as I reached out and grasped her arm, maneuvering her around until I had her shoved over the arm of the couch she had been perched on, moments ago.
“Sure, I’m not killing you just yet, but there are other ways I can use in reminding you of your place from time to time. Don’t you think so?” I continued, and didn’t let her get a word out as I reached down and delivered a firm spank over the side of her ass.
