Mia’s pov
It took a few long seconds for me to get my bearings together, and as soon as I did, I realized a lot of things at once.
Which were firstly; I was on top of Lorenzo, splayed out on top of his body, and secondly, I could feel all the hardness of his body underneath mine, that even the hard surface of his stomach burned the skin of my palm through the material of his shirt.
Thirdly, my face was a few inches away from Lorenzo’s in this state, and before I could even think, I let out a startled squeak and attempted to pull away from his grip at once.
The grip he had on my right wrist prevented me from doing that, along with his second hand sliding across my waist to pin me against him and color flooded my cheeks at once in the next moment.
My heart was pounding super fast and it was unnerving for me to keep staring into Lorenzo’s eyes in this position, and so I tried to avert my gaze, choosing to focus on the exposed skin of his throat, which I realized almost immediately was as bad as staring into his eyes.
“What are you d- doing?” I forced the words past my lips while trying to not thinking about any other thing tight now, like how he smelt so intoxicating, and how although his body felt hard and strong beneath mine, it was also very warm and soft in a way, which made me breath stutter in my chest as soon as thst thought crossed my mind.
When I glanced back into Lorenzo’s face, the side of his lips was pulled sideways in a dark grin that made me shiver on top of him. As if on cue, the grin on his face widened as his grip on my waist tightened even more.
At this point, I was barely breathing in properly.
“Are you seriously asking me that right now?” His voice was low as he spoke, and the fact that I felt it vibrate out of his chest made me a little bit dizzy as I gulped and averted my gaze.
“You shouldn’t be asking me that, knowing damn well that you owe me something.” He continued and I blinked in shock as I returned my gaze to his face once again.
One of his eyebrows was arched as his gaze roved over every inch of my face for a few seconds.
“I owe you something?” I asked in confusion, and he let out a hum and a small nod of his head.
“Yes, you do.” He confirmed and I blinked at him once again, wondering what he could mean right now.
“I believe you weren’t raised to be a rude little girl, no? Aren’t you supposed to thank me after the breakfast you just had?” He asked and even though I felt a rush of heat flow through my veins as he spoke, it also sent a rush of anger and irritation as well.
“What?” I whispered. “I was supposed to thank you?”
He let out a hum, shifting a little, which made my body move sideways a little until I felt it underneath my hip, digging into that spot hotly and immense color flooded my cheeks at once.
As if realizing the reason behind my sudden mortification, his arm around my waist tightened and the grin was once again back on his face.
“You were supposed to.” He hummed out, eyes filling up with something I couldn’t identify as he spoke. I wanted to speak, but I was mortified from feeling that beneath my hips, digging into my hips hotly and making it hard for me to focus on the ongoing conversation.
“I- I didn’t ask for the food, I didn’t want it in the first place.” I managed to respond, watching as Lorenzo snorted before tugging me upwards with his hand on my waist, making that part of him that was hot and long and terrifying to be resting beneath my belly button.
“I don’t care. You ate it is all that matters.” He informed me with a small eye roll, and when he finally focused on me once again, it was like the space between our faces had reduced as he spoke.
“Now, be a good girl and say thank you.”
My mouth fell open but all that came out was a mortifying sound that was incoherent to my own ears, because Lorenzo chose that moment to slide his hand off my waist to rest atop one of my butcheeks.
“I- uh…” I began to speak while my cheeks burned brightly but Lorenzo tsked lowly, his grip loosening from my wrist to wrap around my jaw to hold it in place.
“Be a good girl and do the needful.”
Not knowing what else to do, I blurted out what it was that he had wanted from me from the start, because I couldn’t wait to get away from him, seeing as I couldn’t understand all the feelings running through my mind right now.
“Thank you.” I whispered, while feeling like I was drowning in his eyes which roved over every inch of my face once again as he let out a low hum.
He didn’t let me go after that like I had hoped, and at this point, my heart was lodged in my throat.
I was trying to gather my thoughts when his hand left my jaw to slide over my throat, his fingers dragging lightly over the side of my neck, making me swallow down the dumb, incoherent sound bubbling in my throat once again.
His eyes were on my face throughout, never leaving it for a second, which got me more unnerved, especially when he began to speak.
“You do bruise easily, huh?” As he spoke, his thumb dug into a sore spot which his teeth left behind from last night and a shaky gasp fell past my lips while I hastily shook my head in response to his question. That only prompted a chuckle from Lorenzo who continued to trace those hickeys with his fingers, making me squirm as a tingly feeling course through my body.
“You know, I’m curious. I’m wondering if you bruise easily in other parts of your body.” He continued and I let out another gasp when his nail dug into another sore spot, prompting me to grip his shirt in shock.
“What-t?” I whispered in confusion, not understanding what he meant.
Lorenzo didn’t respond, but he dug his thumb into the marks he left behind once again, and to my mortification, my eyes fluttered weakly.
When he finally retrieved his hands away from my body a few moments later, I didn’t hesitate in abruptly pulling away from him and exiting the sitting room as fast as possible, while feeling like my heart was about to burst out of my chest.
