Chapter 33

Book:The Mafia Lord’s Revenge Posession Published:2024-6-4

BREAKING NEWS: Mr LORENZO DOMENICO’s GIRLFRIEND TRIED TO HARASS MISS LAURA, THE ONLY DAUGHTER TO GOVERNOR MICHELLE MARCUS. IT HAS BEEN REPORTED THAT WHEN MISS LAURA TRIED TO DEFEND HERSELF, Mr LORENZO INTERVENED AND THREATENED HER.
Lorenzo’s eyes darkened as he saw the news, it was very obvious that he was going to destroy the news management and whoever had masterminded it.
“I need you to find out who got this news released. Before this news goes wide, ask Dave to do everything in his power to take it down,” he said in a low but very authoritative tone to a man dressed in black.
“Alright,” the man replied and walked away.
Lorenzo stood up and began to head for the stairs, at the other end of the staircase, Mia could be seen walking down.
“Have you seen the news going on about me harassing the governor’s daughter?” She quickly asked, not waiting to get to him.
“How did you find out about the news?”
“The television of course.”
Lorenzo didn’t say any other thing until he got to her. “I asked you a question.”
“I have seen it, you do not have to worry about anything, I have asked my men to take care of it. I am also going to make whoever is responsible for this pay dearly,” he assured her.
Taking a deep breath, she managed to look him in the eyes. “You have to be careful, they might be trying to use me to destroy your name,” she said to him with a concerned look.
For some reason, Lorenzo’s eyes got filled with compassion. After his parent’s death, no one had ever showed him this much love or care.
“Is there any problem? Are you sick?” She asked him, when she noticed the sudden change in his expression.
“I’m fine, you can go back to your room, there’s absolutely nothing to worry about. You should be concerned about yourself and not me,” he growled, changing back to his cold and mean self.
Mia nodded and turned around, walking back to her room. Yet again, Lorenzo had proved to her that he was a monster, incapable of feelings.
Few minutes later….
Three women and two man laid on the floor, surrounded by about twelve of Lorenzo’s men.
As for Lorenzo, he sat on a chair facing them.
“Who amongst you is in charge of the organization?” He finally said something.
“Me,” one of the males on the floor replied.
“Bring him to me,” he ordered no one in particular.
His command was quickly fulfilled. “What is your name?”
“Jack,” he replied with a trembling voice.
“Do you have any idea as to why you are here?”
“No.”
“If you dare to lie to me again, I will not go easy on you. Do you know why you are here?”
Still trembling, he answered “yes.”
“Why.”
“Because of the false news I spread about your woman,” he said.
“Hmm. Very good. The more you corporate, the less the chance of taking your life away. Do you understand?”
Jack simply nodded in confirmation.
“Why did you post the news?”
“I posted it for the promotion of my firm and for more income,” he stammered through his reply.
Lorenzo stood from his chair, giving him a deadly smile. He took out his hand, then spread his wide, probably expecting something from his men.
His men already knew him well to understand what he needed at that particular time, so one of them placed a gun on his palm. Lorenzo kissed the top of the gun, with his eyes still coldly focused on the Jack’s face.
“You posted that for money right?” He asked, even though his question seemed as if he wanted to confirm what Jack had told him, he was only trying to make him understand that he knew that he was lying.
“Yes,” Jack answered, while sweating from head to toe.
At once Lorenzo pointed the gun to Jack’s forehead. “Please don’t kill me, I promise to take down the news,” he pleaded.
Lorenzo said nothing, instead he directed the gun down to his leg and immediately pulled the trigger, causing Jack to fall to his knees.
“I am going to blow off your brain next, if you do not give me the right answers to my question. Why did you spread that fake news?”
“I was offered a huge amount of money to do so,” he finally answered.
“Who ordered you to do such? The Governor?”
“I swear on my life, I have no idea who the person is. All I know is that the person in question was a lady. She threatened to kill me if by chance I told anybody about this,” he fully detailed everything
“A woman,” Lorenzo repeated, but it was more like a mutter. “Can you describe what she looks like?”
“Half of her face was disguised with a mask, I could only see the other half,” he said.
Lorenzo paced up and down, trying to figure out who the woman was and why she did that.
“Could it be the governor’s daughter?” He asked loudly.
“I do not think so. I have seen miss Laura many times, so I can tell what she looks like. The lady in the mask looked nothing like her,” he said, still groaning in pain because of the gunshot.
“Then the woman must have been hired by someone, either the governor or his daughter or maybe the Mayor’s daughter, the other lady who had tried to bully Mia.”
“Take them out of here, far from here and far from their homes. It should take them great time to get back to their houses,” he commanded his boys.
They quickly obeyed. Lorenzo was left with just Jack and a guard.
“Jack it’s time to say your goodbyes and prayers. In your next life, you won’t dare to mess with me,” Lorenzo said and pulled out his gun.
Before he could let out a bullet, Mia shouted.
“Do not kill him!!!!”
