“How dare you bring me disgrace in my own city,” Pavel’s loud voice came through like thunder. Natasha didn’t believe that Pavel could ever raise his hands on her, he even shouted at her in public. Looking at Pavel, Natasha felt like she was looking at a different being.
“Sign the fucking divorce papers and I’ll spare your babies,” he said angrily.
Natasha could feel a metallic taste of blood in her mouth, “you are nothing but a woman abuser. I thought you said you want to marry me because you don’t want your father’s enemy to hurt me? You sounded like you will do anything to ensure I’m not hurt but it’s beginning to be obvious that you may have your own agenda.”
“Why don’t you act like a plan and confess the truth. Who are you? What have you been hiding? What’s the need to lie? How long can you pretend to be who you are not!” Natasha asked angrily.
Pavel grabbed her by the neck and pulled her to himself, “I’m Pavel Jucef, the heir of the biggest mafia empire here in the East. From the first day I saw you, I knew I’ll have you. Either by force or by your willingness. You once asked if I love you, right? And I said No. I lied. You are mine, I don’t want to see anyone around you, I don’t want to see any man touch you, I will be the only man you’ll ever think of. I’ll occupy your brain and mind. You are and will always be mine alone!”
“Now sign this fucken marriage certificate and let’s go home, sweet pea.” Pavel said as he loosened his hard grip on her.
“You will have to kill me first cause I won’t sign that paper,” Natasha insisted. Although she was now very scared of Pavel.
Pavel pulled her to himself and hugged her very tightly. Although Natasha wasn’t hugging him back, he let her remain in his arms, “my sweet pea, why are you hurting me?” He whispered. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
“You already did.” Natasha’s swift response came through.
“I am sorry. Just sign the marriage certificate and I promise I’ll make it up for you. I didn’t mean to slap you,” he said.
“I will never marry you.”
“Okay… okay…” Pavel chuckled. “Okay my sweet pea.” He added as he disengaged from her slowly. Many people in the bureau could be seen stealing glances at them, having silent rumors between themselves.
Pavel took a step away from her and then suddenly, he held the top of her blouse and then ripped it open. Many people present gasped in shock for Crying Sun is a religious country. Women in the city don’t get to reveal even their cleavage. But here was Natasha with a torn blouse, her cleavage was revealed and she only had her bra on.
Natasha covered her breast, shame engulfing her, tears rushed down her face, “Pavel, you have been a devil all along.”
“Sign the divorce papers or I’ll make sure you are naked here. The pictures of your naked body will be taken and uploaded everywhere on the Internet.” Threatened Pavel.
Natasha’s heart began to beat heavily, her two hands shakily covering her breast, she wondered what plan Dmitry had in place. Will he send his men over here or will he come here himself.
She then checked her phone to see if Naomi had sent her any message but there was none so she decided to call her but Pavel snatched the phone from her and smashed it on the floor. “Who are you calling, my woman?” Pavel asked. “You have sixty seconds to put your signature inside that document otherwise, you won’t blame me for what I will do to you.”
“I shouldn’t have healed you from your sickness,” Natasha said regretfully.
“Another reason why I need you as my wife, there are a lot of sick people in my family I need you to treat. As my wife, I believe you won’t mind doing that,” Pavel said. “Thirty seconds more, still Natasha remained adamant.
“Ten seconds more,” he said.
Natasha immediately walked over to the document and picked up the pen, she can always divorce him… so? About to sign, she suddenly asked, “how soon can I divorce once I get married?” She didn’t know much about the marital laws or Crying Sun.
“The couple must have spent six months together before their divorce can be taken into consideration.”
Six months? That’s too much. This monster would have probably killed her by then.
“Pavel, please… Marriage isn’t by force. I can help treat your sick family members, you don’t have to marry me for me to do that.”Natasha pleaded.
“Time up!” Pavel said and approached her angrily, he grabbed her by her jeans and said, “you seem not to understand how powerful I am here.” About to rip her jean trouser apart, Natasha’s scream made him retract.
“Dmitry!” Natasha called. As soon as Pavel heard her call that name, he turned and was shocked to see Dmitry. Natasha quickly ran to him and held him by the arms, “Thank you… thank you so much for coming.” She sobbed. She didn’t know that Dmitry would come here in person to save her.
The last time her father tried to bully her too, he had also shown up in person. Even Though she knew Dmitry was a type of man that hates for women to touch him, she still held him tightly anyway, unwilling to let him go.
Dmitry looked at Natasha who was like a little frightened rabbit. He pulled off his suit and then used it in covering her. The people there gasped in shock, although not everyone here knows Dmitry, the few people who know him know he’s the most powerful and most respected man in Leaf City. The fact that it was also written about him that he had an unusual disgust towards the opposite sex yet he seemed to be calm with Natasha touching him.
Pavel walked up to Dmitry but didn’t say a word.
Dmitry looked at Pavel ridiculously and then casted his gaze on Natasha again, he noticed from the marks on her cheek that she had been slapped.
“You are fired from my company,” Dmitry said to Pavel.
Pavel’s eyes furrowed in shock. He had spent years trying to build a clean career at Leaf City but with Dmitry’s declaration, it seemed it was ruined. It’s not like he didn’t have more than enough money but he and his family are known for all sorts of scandals and had been gravely accused severally. He had gone to Leaf City to genuinely live a life that’s void of illegalities.
“I have served the company loyally for years. Please don’t just fire me. I am competent in what I do. What’s happening here is personal, it has nothing to do with the work I do at the company. .” Pavel said.
Natasha felt seriously dizzy and for a second, almost lost consciousness of her environment. She could be seen falling but Dmitry was quick to catch her, he carried her in a bridal style and said, “I knew you didn’t mean well for her.”
“Of course I do. I’ll have given her the best life. I truly love her,” said Pavel.
“Yet you slapped her.” Dmitry said, looking at Natasha’s closed eyes. “I’m disappointed in you, Pavel.”
Pavel shook his head, truthfully, he used to be a ruthless spoilt boy who bullies and get away with that, that was when he lived with his father at Crying Sun bug ever since he moved to Leaf City, he had been trying to turn a new leave bug his father’s insistence of visiting him ruined him again. It’s true that he had fallen for Natasha since he helped him heal. At first, he couldn’t tell if he fell for her for her healing skill or if he just loved her for who she is but then, he wanted to take it slowly, hiding his true emotions.
Pavel had never anticipated himself acting this way, particularly towards the woman he loves. The problem is he’s so obsessed with Natasha that he suddenly began to feel insecure that another man might win her over. He wants to marry her so badly and as a man who had always got whatever he wants, he knew Natasha’s own wouldn’t be different.
“I don’t know what came up on me,” Pavel began to regret all his actions.
“Don’t dare come closer, now and in the future!” Dmitry warned and carried Natasha out. Many journalists waiting for Dmitry to step out of the bureau began to take pictures of Dmitry carrying Natasha.
Soon, Dmitry was at the backseat while Natasha laid her head on his lap, Dmitry didn’t feel any disgust at all, instead, he found her hair so adorable that he wished he could touch it. But what if she wakes up while he was touching it, she might think it too far so he controlled himself.
Soon, they were inside the plane transporting them back to Leaf City. This time, Natasha had woken up. Stepping out of the plane, Natasha said to Dmitry, “thank you so much.” She was still wearing Dmitry’s suit.
“Kenji will drive you home.” Dmitry said and began to walk towards the Lamborghini that will drive him back to the mansion. Unfortunately, he couldn’t proceed with the business trip he was going on again.
Natasha felt herself falling even deeper for Dmitry. For Dmitry is calm, cold, yet cute, perfect in character and rational. Hot! So to speak. Handsome also, he’s everything a woman will wish for in a man.
“Ma’am, please come with me,” Yuri appeared and said. He was ready to take her home but Natasha had her eyes on Dmitry even as made an attempt to enter his car. But surprisingly, Dmitry turned back and their eyes met.
