Leave That To Me

Yuri immediately appeared. “Sir, it’s unsafe here . We must leave.” For he had just shot someone that was making an attempt on Dmitry’s life.
Natasha was so scared that she remained in Dmitry’s arms for another few seconds. When she noticed that everything seemed a little calm, she withdrew slowly, “I’m so sorry.”
Dmitry used to feel an extreme rage when someone of the opposite sex touches him, even if it’s by mistake. It’s the type of rage that will make him feel like murdering the person. However, Dmitry didn’t feel that way at all with Natasha, not only touching him but practically hugging him.
He didn’t feel like puking and he felt no rage. It was weird and uncommon. She looked into her eyes and when he was about to speak, Pavel appeared.
“Natasha, there has been a little chaos, you must come with me,” Pavel said as he approached Natasha.
At Dmitry’s signal, Yuri blocked Pavel from getting to where Natasha is.
“She’s coming with me,” Dmitry said and held her by the arms then walked quickly with her out of the premises.
They were able to make it out of the boat and then got inside the car, “thank you so much.” Natasha said gratefully.
About sixteen minutes later, the car came to a halt right before Natasha’s mansion. Their journey in the boat and in the car had been eerily silent.
She thanked him once again and stepped out.
The driver was about to drive away when a Hyundai Elantra suddenly drove speedily and parked right behind their car.
Pavel could be seen stepping out of the car and rushing inside Natasha’s house.
“Sir, there may be a problem.” Yuri said.
“I saw it,” Dmitry said. Then he ordered the driver to turn off the ignition.
“Shall I go in and see what’s going on?” Yuri asked.
“Go on.”
Yuri then stepped down and walked inside.
“Pavel, what are you doing here?” Asked Natasha.
“Some enemies of my father infiltrated the ship and caused the chaos that happened.” Pavel said. “Although my father is safe, I don’t think you are.”
“Why will your father’s enemy come for me? Also, these people made an attempt on Dmitry’s life. If not for Yuri, I do not know what would have happened.
“I really can’t explain why they would want to kill Dmitry. But Dmitry is the most powerful man in the city, it’s normal or he has enemies. I’ll need you to come with me so I can have you in a safe space until I’m certain these enemies are no longer in the city.” Pavel said. “And yes, you can bring your children along.”
“I don’t think she’s under threat, Pavel,” Yuri appeared and said. “Natasha confessed there’s no real relationship between the two of you, just let her be.”
Pavel turned to Yuri, “My father announced her publicly as my wife. Either that is fake or not is for the enemies to decide. She will be regarded as a member of my father’s family. I’m only trying to help.”
“She will be fine.” Yuri said.
“Pavel,” Natasha walked a bit closer. “Thanks so much for trying to keep me safe but trust me, I’ll be fine.”
The look of worry remained on Pavel’s face, “I’m only trying to help.” He shrugged and walked away reluctantly.
Yuri then said, “You should consider paying Kenji to be your bodyguard.”
“I will, thank you,” Natasha said and watched as Yuri walked away.
Natasha then walked straight to the room the kids were. After checking on them and ensuring they were fine, she went to take a shower after which she relaxed on her bed. She picked up her phone and placed a call across to Kenji. After a thorough discussion, Kenji agreed to resume work the following day.
The following day, Kenji brought the car to a halt before Ivan’s mansion. Then he went ahead and opened the door of the car to Natasha. Coming to her father’s house wasn’t something she particularly wished for but some of her mother’s belongings are here and she needs to take them.
They both began to approach the door and when they got in front of it, Natasha rang the bell while Kenji just stood behind her with a very strong face. He’s like a beast ready to attack anyone that dares to come at Natasha.
Soon, someone spoke from the other end, “Natasha, what are you doing here?”
Natasha recognized the voice to be that of Ruby, “I came for what belonged to my mother.”
“You can’t have it.”
“Why not?” Natasha asked. “And will you open this door?”
“I’ll suggest you leave and only come when invited.”
“Just so you know, this is my father’s house.” Natasha said.
Then she heard sounds of legs retreating, “this bitch isn’t ready to open this door.” Natasha said to Kenji.
“Please take a few steps back,” Kenji said and Natasha did as he had suggested.
In three minutes, Jenni had broken down the security door. He now had sweats all over his forehead and was breathing erratically.
Natasha had thought he would not be able to break the door down considering the fact that the door is a security door but he did.
Then Natasha walked in. She was less surprised to see Ruby eating dinner alone. “Where do you keep my mother’s belongings?”
“I see that you brought a beast with you. Just so you know, there are many cameras here. Make an attempt to hit me and it will be posted across all social media how evil you are.” Ruby threatened.
Natasha wondered why Ruby isn’t calling her father to report that someone is breaking into his home. “Where’s my father?”
“Stop calling him that name. He already renounced you.”
“Where is he?” Natasha asked but Ruby just continued eating, totally ignoring her.
“Search these entire house and let me know if you find anyone.” She commanded Kenji and he immediately got into action.
“Not only are you not getting your mother’s belongings, you are also not getting whatever belongs to your father.”
“What do you mean I’m not getting anything that belongs to my father?” Natasha asked. “Is something wrong with him?”
“The slave you brought will inform you,” Ruby said. She never stopped eating.
Kenji was soon outside, “I think your father is severely ill.”
“Oh my!” Natasha swiftly followed after Kenji. They were soon inside Lewis’s room. He had grown lean and looked weak. His mouth seemed to be shifting to the side. “Father, what has befallen you?”
Despite the hiccup that had happened between herself and her father lately, she still finds herself caring about the man.
“Natasha, “Lewis managed to call. He had tears streaming down his face as he watched Natasha.
“And why are you here? Why didn’t Zara and Ruby take you to the hospital?” Natasha questioned.
Lewis wanted to utter words but there instead, more tears streamed down his lean face.
“Kenji,” Natasha called and Kenji immediately walked in. “Please take my father to the hospital.”
Kenji immediately carried Lewis from the sick bed and took him out. While Natasha was walking back to the dinning room where Ruby was, she received a text from Kenji, asking if she would be fine since he was currently taking her father to the hospital.
“Yes, I will. Thank you, Kenji.” She replied back.
As soon as she raised her gaze up from her phone, she saw Zara standing before her, “what did you do to my father?”
“I need money and your father is not coming through. Basically, he’s been stingy,” Zara said. Ruby at this moment also appeared behind Zara.
“And you did that to him?”
“Your father had a stroke. You are a doctor, can someone else make a stroke happen to someone?” Zara explained. “Just so you know, he developed a stroke because Mr. Dmitry caused his company to go bankrupt. He couldn’t take the heartache.”
Natasha felt a little bad hearing that. But then, his father left her with no choice. “Why isn’t he in the hospital?” Natasha asked.
“Cause I kind of want him to die quickly,” Zara said.
“After killing my mother, making my father believe he’s not my biological father, you still want him dead?” Natasha asked rhetorically.
Zara shrugged and said, “Like I said earlier, I need money.”
“My father will get better and I’ll reveal the entire truth to him. Everything you just said is in the voice recorder of my phone. I’ll play it for him and he’ll see you for who you really are,” Natasha said.
Zara’s heart skipped. She didn’t know Natasha would be recording her voice. Ruby took a few steps further and looked at her mother in fear.
“You don’t have to do that, Natasha.”
“If you don’t want me to then you must leave this house and never appear before my father again. You and your daughter are witches.” Natasha said.
Zara stared into the air for a few seconds and then exhaled heavily, “okay… okay… We’ll leave. But how can we be sure you’ll keep to your word?”
“You can’t.” Natasha said and brushed her shoulder as she walked past them.
“Mother, we shouldn’t let this bitch go with that phone. Two of us can take her down and break the phone.” Ruby said.
“Natasha is under Mr. Dmitry’s protection. Do we even dare to touch her?” Zara asked. “But I know what to do.”
“What will you do mom?”
“Is it not when her father gets better that she will play the video for him? If Lewis dies in the hospital bed, he’s never going to listen to any voice note.”
“But I doubt he wrote our name in his will. Plus his family company is already bankrupt.”
“Ruby, there are many things you do not know. Do you not know that most upper class families in Leaf City, apart from their family company, used to have their gold and jewelries stored in the City’s most secure vault.”
“How do we have access to those jewelries?”
“Just leave that to me. But know that as soon as Lewis is dead, we’ll become rich again.” Zara said.
“And mom, you haven’t told me who my biological father is yet. You had once told me you are only deceiving Lewis to believe I’m his biological daughter. But I’m dying to know who my biological father is.” Ruby asked again. This wasn’t her first time demanding to know her real father.
“Once Lewis is dead, I’ll reveal your father to you. It’s nothing to worry about, okay?” Zara patted her shoulder and she nodded gently.
