You Are Fired

Book:Miracle Doctor And Her Hot CEO Published:2024-6-4

Once the two adults were outside, both standing before the Pushkin’s mansion. Yuri, who had been waiting for Dmitry walked closer.
“Sir, I think you should head home to rest. You can continue with the work tomorrow,” Yuri advised. Seeing that his boss had just finished dinner, he thought it was best for him to rest.
Cause their plan earlier was to work overnight. Dmitry was a type who overworks, it’s no wonder he doubles the annual profit of all the Pushkin’s companies in and out of Leaf City.
Prior, he had been examining and adjusting the company’s budget for it had just been sent to his office by the accountant general of the company.
“We are going back to the company,” Dmitry responded.
Yuri almost cried, not for Dmitry but for himself. He had promised his family to be with them this night for he barely has time for them.
Dmitry departed from Natasha without even uttering a single word to her. He never uttered a single word since they left Mr. Pushkin’s presence.
Seeing him leave, Natasha clenched her fist and said, “not all women are as you described.”
Dmitry paused and turned to him. He bore his handsome gaze at her petite look and said, “Your medical skills is impressive.”
Natasha squinted her eyes, wondering why he switched to talk about her skill.
“You don’t feel rejected cause I pay no attention to you.” He stated. “It’s not about you, it’s about women in general.”
“That what I’m trying to say, not all women are as you described.” Natasha insisted.
“Talking with you already bores me. Excuse me!” Then he walked away from her presence while Yuri followed.
Natasha may feel insulted by Dmitry’s words but Yuri understood his boss better. Cause of his strong hatred for women, he hates to have conversations with them.
Natasha almost buried herself out of embarrassment. No man had ever spoken to her in that manner. Her heart ached. She swore to herself never to speak to him again. Would she even meet him again? And if at all she does, will she be able to keep to the decision she just made cause that man has a very compelling presence?
Natasha wondered who or those that might have traumatized him in the past that made turn into a full blown misogynist. If it was not a case of trauma? Was there something else responsible for such a trait and perspective? Natasha thought it over and over again until she got home that night.
She checked on her kids and see that they had got better, she then laid on the bed and began to wonder how her first day at work will be, for she will be resuming work the following day. And once she confirmed that a warning had been sent to her father, she will go back to that house and claim all her mother’s belongings.
The following day, when work time was almost over, Natasha received a call from Pavel telling her to come to his office.
Today, being the first day of her work was not so stressful but it was a bit strange. Seeing that she was mostly used to the ancient method of medicine, the modern method of medicine was what she had to start adjusting to and it’s difficult. Plus she had to pretend like she’s a modern science medical doctor.
Soon, she was standing before Pavel’s office. Once she planted her knuckles on the door, Pavel permitted her to walk in. Once she was inside, she greeted “good afternoon, sir.”
“Please sit.” Pavel made a gesture and she sat.
“I must say my condition had really improved. I’ve also used the herbs you recommend I take today. Thank you.”
“I just want to see every sick person gets better.” Natasha smiled briefly.
Pavel, with his usually calm and reserved face said, “I am the personal doctor of Titiana.” He added, “Titiana is the CEO’S little sister.”
“The CEO has a little sister?” Natasha asked swiftly.
“He does. And so many doctors had been assigned to her but none had been able to help her out of her Aphasia.” He said. “She’s lacks the ability to speak and as a result, had grown violent and became seriously addicted to drugs.”
“If she’s not smoking, she’s taking hard drugs. The CEO had burdened me with the responsibility to make her feel better.” Pavel said. “I feel bad for the CEO.”
“Why is that?”
“He’s tender when it comes to his little sister.” Pavel replied. “Can you help with this? Help her get better?”
Natasha sighed. “I’ll try. I’m not particularly good at handling people with mental health issues.”
“We’ll do it together.” Pavel checked his wrist watch and said, “we are leaving immediately after the close of work.”
“Got it.” Natasha stood and walked out.
About fifteen minutes later, Pavel and Natasha stepped out of Pavel’s latest Hyundai Elantra.
From the office when Pavel’s car took off to this place that they are now, neither Pavel nor Natasha spoke a word to eachother. It’s not like Natasha wasn’t interested in having a conversation with him, it’s that Pavel remained silent.
She couldn’t help but think of Pavel as someone mysterious.
Both adults stood before an expensive looking bongalow. There were two security cars by either side of the compound of the house. But since the security men identified Pavel, they just watched from their post as Natasha and Pavel walked towards the main door.
Pavel unlocked the door and both adults stepped in, Natasha was welcomed by strong smells of smoke, tobacco and cigarette.
“I’ll lead, “Pavel finally broke the silence between them. Elianor nodded and trailed after him.
Soon, they appeared in a large yet cozy living room. On the black spanish tiles was a lady, dressed in a ragged jean and a stained white shirt. She looked skinny yet had cigarette in her mouth. There were all sorts of hard drugs before her too.
Although Natasha and Pavel had now come in, she didn’t spare them a glance at all. She just continued to live in her own world.
“She used to be normal. Her words were fluent. Cause I’ve personally met her before this misery befell her. I feel such a great pity for her.” Pavel said.
Natasha also felt pitiful for the pathetic little lady on the floor, she looked like she was in her early twenties.
Whereas, Dmitry had been informed that Pavel had come with a lady to the house that Titiana lives in. Dmitry had immediately cut off all his schedule and was now on his way to Titiana’s lodge.
“Hey Titiana, I brought a friend,” Pavel said, not daring to move closer to her. The day before was his first time of attending to Titiana and he made some moves that forced out some extremely violent reactions out of her, so now, he was being careful.
“Titiana,” Pavel called softly again but Titiana at this point, dropped the cigarette in her mouth and took in a grinded drug towards her nose, then began to sniff it.
Natasha appeared from Pavel’s back and walked closer.
“Natasha, don’t!” He tried to stop her but Natasha refused to heed to his call, soon, she was squatting before her. Although Natasha had her heart in her throat, nonetheless, she didn’t show her fear.
Titiana raised her gaze up when she saw someone with a familiar scent squatting before her. Staring into her gaze, she felt like she had seen her before. But no matter how much she tried to remember where she had seen her, she couldn’t.
“Hey Titiana, I’m Natasha. I’m here to help you.” Natasha says.
Titiana passed her some grinded drug that were on a white paper and made a gesture for her to sniff.
Natasha smiled, “I don’t take drugs.”
Titiana frowned, then made a sign language gesture, implying, ‘if you are here to stop me from taking these drugs, you are just another doctor wasting their time.”
Natasha said, “who says I’m here to stop you from taking drugs?”
Titiana looked up at Natasha, the rage she used to have towards doctor subsided a little. She then stood from the floor and went to sit on the single couch. Natasha went to sit right beside her, “I can help you heal from this dreadful Aphasia, you will be able to speak again.”
Pavel however remained standing, watching the two young ladies with amazement.
“The best doctors in the world had tried but they couldn’t,” Titiana replied with a ‘sign language.’ then snuffed the air so hard.
“I healed your grandfather from his sickness and he’s recovering well now. I also healed doctor Pavel here from a terrible disease lately. I believe I can help you heal as well.” Natasha said very calmly.
Titiana went to pick another cigarette and lighted it, then began to smoke. “I started taking drugs cause of the misery that befell me.”
“I know. Will you let me help?” Natasha asked.
Tears suddenly came out of Titiana’s eyes. She felt goosebumps all over body and that’s because she felt a kind of connection with Natasha that she hadn’t felt with anyone before. She didn’t know if Natasha will be able to heal her but she was ready to let her try.
Natasha stood and handed over an handkerchief to her. While Titiana was cleaning her tears, Natasha said to Pavel, “Please come and collect her blood sample.”
Pavel walked closer and dropped his briefcase on the small table beside the television, then he brought out the tools he would use to extract a sample of her blood.
In three minutes, he was done. Surprisingly, Titiana didn’t show any sign of violence at all.
Natasha then began to examine her, observing the color of her eyes and skin, telling her to open her mouth and checking for the position of her tongue and many more. When she was done, she said, “I’ll get back to you tomorrow on what next to do. But I assure you, you will speak again.”
Titiana simply nodded. Just when Pavel and Natasha were about to start going out, Yuri and Dmitry stepped in.
Natasha was the last person Dmirry was expecting to see here. Dmitry walked swiftly to Titiana who had immediately fallen asleep like a log of wood. If not that she was breathing, one would have thought she had died.
When Natasha turned and saw that the lady she just finished communicating to seconds ago had fallen into deep slumber, she knew it was as a result of the drugs.
Dmitry carried his sister in a bridal style and took her inside, he laid her gently on the bed and covered her with the duvet then he kissed her on the forehead.
Afterwards, he stepped out and said to Pavel, “why did you bring this woman here? I gave the job to you not this woman.”
Pavel had heard Natasha say that she healed Mr. Pushkin so he said, “My apologies. But miss. Natasha here healed Mr. Pushkin. I believe her medical skills are worth trying on miss. Titiana.”
“You are fired!” Dmitry declared.
At once, Yuri escorted Pavel out. Pavel didn’t act out of place at all, he just walked out calmly as though nothing had happened, leaving Natasha and Dmitry alone in the room.
