Chapter 109 Bonfire Gathering

Book:Alpha's Rise and Luna's Love Published:2024-6-4

In preparation for the chaotic and unpredictable Spring Hunt, Maggie dedicated all of her nighttime hours to the Energy Bead.
The purified energy was exceptionally pure, and all three Energy Beads were filled with energy, radiating a brilliant light. According to Mrs. Jenkins, each Energy Bead could only be used three times. The one she received from Mrs. Jenkins had already been used twice, so she had to make the most of her remaining opportunity.
The night of the Spring Hunt was fast approaching, and moonlight spilled generously across the land. The wild wolves reached their peak ferocity for the night, gathering around the Moonlit Forest in preparation for the upcoming hunting revelry.
Inside Barrett Manor, Maggie’s dress had been modified to enhance her alluring figure. As Aldrich placed the Tears of the Ocean necklace around her neck, the people around them couldn’t help but gasp.
“Our hostess looks absolutely stunning.”
“If the Moon Goddess were to descend, even she would be in awe of our Luna!”
Aldrich whispered softly to Maggie, “I knew you would attract everyone’s attention.”
Maggie reached for the Tears of the Ocean, saying, “May Selene grant me strength.”
“Perhaps you should pray to me to find you in the shortest time.”
“I trust you.”
Their luxury car drove through the night, heading towards the remote outskirts of the city. The trees along the road became denser, and they even saw wolves sprinting past the car.
“Wolves…” Maggie exclaimed.
Aldrich chuckled, saying, “You’ll meet my wolves later.”
“Are you coming to chase me?”
The instinct to hunt was deeply ingrained in a werewolf’s genes, and Aldrich excitedly licked his sharp fangs. “Yes, I’m looking forward to it. But remember, Maggie, don’t try to resist me, especially after I catch you.”
“That’s easier said than done. Humans naturally seek to survive. Survival is instinctive.”
“If you resist, it’s actually encouraging for the wolf, further stirring their uncontrollable hunting instincts. Remember, wolves are wild beasts, filled with untamable ferocity and conquest.”
Maggie squeezed Aldrich’s hand. “What if it’s another wolf chasing me?”
“You are my Luna. It won’t happen.”
“I hope so.”
The vehicle came to a stop at the forest entrance, and countless emerald eyes in the darkness watched them. The restive wolf pack was growing wild with anticipation.
“My Luna, the revelry has begun,” Aldrich said behind Maggie, his voice both dangerous and charming, sending shivers down her spine.
Aldrich circled around to the other side of the car and opened Maggie’s door. “My Luna, please step out.”
“Thank you,” Maggie said, placing her hand in his. As she stood in the open wilderness, she felt an urgent sensation of being closely watched by numerous hidden eyes.
The air was filled with the suppressed howls of the wolves, and the moonlit forest revealed a solemn path, bathed in the moon’s light. Holding hands, Aldrich and Maggie walked towards the forest.
Nervously, Maggie asked in a hushed voice, “When will I see Grace?”
“She will be there.”
“What about Marvin?”
“Tonight, I don’t want to hear you mention other men.”
“Don’t be like this, Aldrich. I’m nervous. Just talk to me about something.”
“Maggie, I’m looking forward to it.”
“Also, your wolves won’t harm me, will they?”
“What do you think?”
“Aldrich, you’re being cryptic. How much longer does this path go?”
“We’ve arrived.”
As Aldrich spoke, the other werewolves emerged from the darkness, surrounding Aldrich and Maggie in the center, directly beneath the rising moon.
An elder stepped forward, holding a torch that floated above his hand. The torch suddenly ignited, dispersing the darkness around.
“I, the top Alpha of The Blue Moon Pack, invite you and our Luna to kindle the sacred fire, illuminating the night and commencing the grand celebration!”
Unlike the excellent night vision of the werewolves, Maggie could only see the surroundings clearly after the torch was lit. “This is magnificent…”
Towering trees seemed to have a history of a thousand years, and the dark-green leaves added a hint of coolness to the night. The natural atmosphere enticed the blood of every werewolf, eager for the night’s excitement. Female werewolves, dressed provocatively, cheered, and the male werewolves emitted excited howls.
Everyone was eagerly anticipating the night’s hunt. They would shed all restraints in the primal forest, returning to their beastly instincts. Guided and blessed by Selene, they would enjoy the exhilaration of hunting and unleash their primal desires and mating to secure the stability of the werewolf pack in the spring.
“Please.” The elder offered the torch.
Aldrich took the torch and majestically tossed it towards the enormous bonfire in the center. The torch, following a graceful arc, landed in the center of the massive woodpile, instantly turning the night into daylight!
The crowd began to dance around the blazing bonfire. Maggie was led to join by Aldrich. Due to her pregnancy, she couldn’t jump around excitedly, but she was infected by the warm atmosphere, and a happy smile appeared on her face.
Amid the cheers, Aldrich and Maggie locked eyes. He couldn’t help but praise, “Maggie, you’re my Selene!”
One wolf, not clear who, led the cheer, prompting Maggie and Aldrich to kiss in front of the bonfire. Soon, enthusiastic cheers erupted from the crowd, and everyone watched Aldrich and Maggie.
Maggie’s heart raced, never having been the center of attention like this, let alone kissing Aldrich in front of all these people. It was truly embarrassing!
Aldrich tightened his grip on Maggie’s waist and brought her closer into his embrace. Her perfect curves pressed against him, and the atmosphere continued to heat up as desire kept rising.
“Look at me, Maggie…” Aldrich said huskily.
“My innocent Maggie, werewolves are not shy about intimacy. If you keep refusing, it might raise suspicions,” he touched Maggie’s cheek, and the scorching heat from his hand sent shivers through both of them.
“Kiss! Kiss!” The pack of wolves eagerly urged, with some of them even transforming into wolves on the spot, howling at the moon to express their joy.
The flickering flames highlighted Aldrich’s strikingly handsome face, making him even more irresistible. Maggie followed her heart. “I’m not shy, you know.”
“What’s that? Have you set your sights on other wolves?”
“No one is more appealing than Aldrich, I need to restrain myself.”
“My dear, you don’t have to restrain yourself.”
“You can’t hear my inner screams. It urges me to rush up there and ravish Aldrich’s sexy lips, pull the arrogant Aldrich down from the high platform, and let him lose himself in Maggie’s desires!”
Aldrich was excited by Maggie’s unusual frankness. His inner wolf roared, eager to overpower Maggie. “Maggie, you’re full of surprises!”
In that moment when Aldrich lowered his head, Maggie passionately met him halfway, and the crowd erupted in astonished admiration. Followed by loud cheers, their Luna was simply too sexy!
Maggie fervently kissed Aldrich, and they exchanged their essence as their lips and tongues danced together. The emotional eruption made Maggie crave more, and her hands roamed over Aldrich’s sensitive areas, making him squirm.
When her hot lips moved towards his neck, Aldrich realized Maggie wanted to bite him. He abruptly lifted her with one hand, swallowing her surprised cry and confusion. The crowd once again burst into applause and danced around the massive bonfire.
Aldrich used his large hand to partially shield their faces. He panted and said, “My dear, you almost succeeded!”
“Why didn’t you let me bite you!” Maggie protested.
“My body and heart belong to you. Only you can do this to me anytime. I’m excited by the thought of it, but Maggie, I can’t mark you in public!”
“What? I didn’t want you to mark…”
“Your biting is the best encouragement and invitation to me. Although mating in public among the pack isn’t a big deal, please forgive me, Selene. I have a strong desire to possess Maggie. I don’t want to share these moments with anyone else!”
Blushing, Maggie finally understood.
They separated at last as the bonfire festivities gradually came to an end. Aldrich pulled a torch from the fire and handed it to Maggie. “Now, Maggie, you need to lead the way, taking the she-wolves into the Moonlit Forest.”
The Spring Hunt officially began, and Maggie faced the solemn task ahead. The pack cleared a path to the Moonlit Forest, and the dark path leading into the forest was filled with lurking nocturnal creatures. Maggie couldn’t help but feel fear in her heart.
