Chapter 108 Spring Hunt Attire

Book:Alpha's Rise and Luna's Love Published:2024-6-4

“Delicious steak didn’t keep Maggie in a perpetual state of bliss. When she and Aldrich returned to Barrett Manor, the bedroom door was knocked on by Thomas, who had some not-so-friendly news to report to Maggie.
“Mr. Barrett, I hope I’m not interrupting you and the lady of the house.”
Aldrich opened the door. “What’s the matter?”
Aldrich had just finished taking a shower, and his robe barely covered his powerful physique, radiating strong alpha pheromones. He had just taken a few steps into the bedroom when the unexpected visitor arrived. Elizabeth followed Thomas, and she found it difficult to keep her composure when she saw Aldrich in his robe. She flushed red, feeling a bit flustered.
“We’ve received the attire for the Spring Hunt, including Luna’s dress.”
“Come in.”
Thomas gestured for Elizabeth to open a beautifully wrapped box, a pure black satin package with the image of a moonlit wolf howling. He explained, “Considering Luna’s pregnancy, this year’s attire has been modified to include symbols of blessings for multiple offspring. Luna can try it on, and if it doesn’t fit well, adjustments can be made within the next day.”
Maggie hesitated, looking at the somewhat revealing dress. She was grateful her baby bump would be covered, but the dress exposed her arms and legs, and the lines on it made her question if it was truly a dress for the Spring Hunt or something more intimate.
“This… this dress is not suitable for entering the forest,” Maggie objected.
Elizabeth showcased the dress and encouraged Maggie, “Luna, these symbols represent nobility and blessings, they are sacred. You should try it on; you’ll love it.”
“Is it because the men will love it?” Maggie glared at Aldrich, who was gazing at her with a lustful gleam in his eyes.
Elizabeth was taken aback, and she noticed the usually dignified Mr. Barrett had turned away. She playfully said, “Of course, we want it to arouse our Alpha’s intense interest in you, to make him chase you fiercely and complete the mating in the Moonlit Forest.”
“Elizabeth!” Maggie didn’t expect the girl to talk so boldly about this.
Aldrich locked his arms around Maggie’s shoulders. “Darling, you need to face this. Werewolf girls are not shy about expressing their desires. Besides, you have to set an example!”
Thomas added, “Luna, you can try it on for now, and if there are any issues or if it doesn’t fit well, it can be adjusted within the next day.”
“Alright, I suppose I have no choice,” Maggie reluctantly agreed.
“Come on, Luna, let me assist you,” Elizabeth said.
Maggie’s pregnancy bump had grown quite large. It was possible that her collection of moonlight energy had also kept her in excellent condition. Her arms and legs were still slender and graceful. Her curves remained enticing, and she still had a stunning figure.
Elizabeth couldn’t help but admire Maggie. “Your skin is so smooth and tender, with a big bust and long legs. Oh my, the Creator must have poured all of his effort into you. Mr. Barrett is truly fortunate…”
Maggie, blushing, covered Elizabeth’s mouth. “Your voice is too loud!”
“I can’t help but be excited! Luna, you are the most charming woman I’ve ever seen. You’re going to stir up a wolf howl at the Spring Hunt!” Elizabeth even involuntarily touched Maggie’s skin, which caused Maggie to exclaim.
Aldrich, on the outside, noticed the commotion. He couldn’t help but imagine the scene of Maggie exposed in front of Elizabeth, and his instincts as a silver wolf screamed at him to stop everything.
“Maggie, do you need any help?” Aldrich inquired.
“No!” Maggie responded quickly.
“Luna, don’t move around; let me get closer. You have a wonderful fragrance about you…” That was Elizabeth’s voice.
What on earth was she doing? What did Elizabeth want to do to his Maggie?
Aldrich suddenly pushed the door open, finding Maggie in the barely-clothed dress, with Elizabeth standing behind her, wrapping a long ribbon around Maggie’s neck. Startled by the sudden appearance, Maggie stumbled backward, and her ample bosom was fully exposed in front of Aldrich.
Aldrich’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down as his eyes burst into an emerald green glow. “Elizabeth, let me help Maggie. You can leave for now.”
Elizabeth was initially hesitant, as she was the most knowledgeable about how to put on the dress, but Aldrich’s voice was gravelly, and his overpowering alpha aura caused her blood to heat up and her body to flush. She realized that Alpha was experiencing a strong sense of possessiveness and desire for Luna.
“Alright…” Elizabeth quickly retreated.
Outside the dressing room, the pair of Thomas and Elizabeth shared a meaningful look. “I guess we should leave,” Elizabeth said, blushing.
“We can pick up the dress tomorrow,” Thomas added.
Thomas and Elizabeth left the bedroom silently, and Aldrich immediately sensed their departure. No longer holding back, he passionately kissed Maggie’s crimson lips. His large hands couldn’t stop caressing her, and the dress seemed tailor-made for him, making it easier for him to explore.
Maggie couldn’t bear his intensity and playfully slapped his back. “Aldrich! Keep your voice down!”
“They’re already gone…” Aldrich’s hot breath warmed Maggie’s face, a sensual smile playing on his lips. “Maggie, I just want you to stay by my side, alone, only for me to see.”
Maggie blushed and pushed Aldrich away with all her might, though it wasn’t much. “I remember you didn’t drink tonight.”
“I’m sober, but my wolf is feeling mischievous. He roars that he doesn’t want anyone to see your body, not even Elizabeth.”
“Always hiding things from me… Silverwolf told me, you are it, and it is you. You are highly synchronized.”
“Yes, we’re both wicked.”
“Wicked?”
Aldrich gently kissed Maggie’s innocent, bright eyes, his palm radiating heat that almost scorched her skin. His wolf roared for him to claim her, yet he held her tightly without further action.
“Maggie, I swear I will possess you under the guidance of the Moon Goddess.”
Maggie’s mind was preoccupied with the upcoming Spring Hunt. She expressed her concerns, “I’m really worried about the Spring Hunt.”
“Seeing the irresistible Maggie, I share the same worry about other wolves.”
“Pervert! Get your rational and reasonable self back!” Maggie exclaimed.
Aldrich buried his face in Maggie’s shoulder, stifling a chuckle. His hot breath filled the air with Maggie’s unique scent. “You need to trust Selene. She will arrange everything.”
Selene? She had been absent for so long that she couldn’t possibly be arranging anything. The Spring Hunt would likely be a wild, unguided frenzy.
Maggie couldn’t voice her inner anxieties, and she had to carry the weight of these concerns alone. Aldrich sensed the heaviness within Maggie and suddenly lifted her into his arms. With the dress nearly slipping off her, Maggie clung tightly to Aldrich’s neck, exclaiming, “What are you doing?”
“I just love the feeling of you clinging to me like this,” Aldrich confessed.
“Aldrich, I’m really not in the mood for fulfilling your desires right now. All I can think about is the Spring Hunt!”
Aldrich placed Maggie on the large bed, where the stark contrast between the black sheets and Maggie’s porcelain skin was striking. He suppressed his own desires and reassured her, “Don’t worry; I will make sure everything goes smoothly.”
“But what if Selene can’t actually guide this Hunt?”
“That won’t happen. I can feel Selene’s clear guidance becoming stronger and stronger.”
“You’re lying!” Her mother had disappeared without a trace; otherwise, she wouldn’t have been left as an orphan for so many years.
“Trust me. I know you have some anxieties, but everything will go as smoothly as when we attended the werewolf feast.”
Maggie looked utterly dejected. “Yes, I’m scared. I’m terrified of being at the forefront, entering the forest, the fierce pursuit by the werewolves. How could I possibly escape?”
“I’ll find you.”
“With so many wolves, how can you guarantee that?”
“We have our baby’s guidance.”
Maggie continued to press, “Grace will also secretly protect you.”
“Grace? Will she participate in the Hunt?”
“No, it would draw too much attention if she appeared directly at the Spring Hunt. Perhaps it’s better to postpone her appearance.”
“But will she enter the forest?”
“Yes, I’ll make sure everything is arranged to ensure that Grace will accompany you from the moment you enter the forest.”
Maggie finally began to relax. “Thank you, Aldrich.”
“Now, can I mark you with my scent?”
In response to Aldrich’s expectant eyes, Maggie shook her head slowly. “Not right now. There are more important things to consider.”
