“It’s been a year, and I never expected your progress to be so rapid!”
Kendal slowly stood up, his eyes shimmering with astonishment.
Molly’s face was also filled with surprise, her anger replaced by excitement, her hands trembling with emotion.
Yes!
My year of dedicated training has paid off!
After losing to Kendal last year, I pushed myself even harder, to the point of neglecting sleep and food!
It must be the result of my hard work!
It must have moved the heavens!
If I could defeat Kendal, how far could I be from becoming a Grandmaster?
Molly, you need to keep pushing yourself to be worthy of the title of genius!
“It’s not her rapid improvement, but rather I who unlocked Dragon Ridge for her,” Flynn said calmly, then turned to Molly:
“Even though you’ve beaten Kendal, there’s nothing to be proud of, because the enemies you will face in the future will be a hundred times stronger.”
“I’ll set you up with a complete training method in a few days, and it won’t be long before you can become a Grandmaster.”
“However, becoming a Great Grandmaster requires fate. It’s not something you can achieve just through effort!”
Upon hearing this, both Molly and Kendal were stunned, looking at Flynn as if he were a fool, disbelief written all over their faces.
The outcome of unlocking Dragon Ridge?
A whole set of training methods, and Molly could soon become a Grandmaster?
Kendal scoffed with a laugh, mocking, “Stop flattering yourself!”
“Talking about Grandmasters and Great Grandmasters, do you even understand what that entails?”
“Dragons, powerful beings who can control a territory by themselves!”
You need to be believable when boasting, so others might actually believe you!
This guy, attributing the results of someone else’s hard training to himself.
And creating a set of training methods for Molly to practice and become a Grandmaster in a short time?
Stop joking, please!
“Thank you for your kindness, but I don’t need it,” Molly said indifferently.
She didn’t want to argue with Flynn.
Whether or not she won because Flynn unlocked Dragon Ridge was beside the point.
Just from what Flynn had said next, it was clear how unreliable he was.
Studying a set of training methods and practicing them to become a Grandmaster soon?
That’s utterly fantastical!
Do you think becoming a Grandmaster is as common as cabbage?
Not something you can achieve just by practicing a little?
Some cultivators strive their entire lives and never become Grandmasters, and they are not in the minority.
Yet Flynn says it could take just a few days for her to become a Grandmaster?
An arrogant madman!
“Miss George, Flynn’s martial arts are very impressive; otherwise, he wouldn’t be a trainer for Blade, right?”
“You wouldn’t go wrong learning from him, think it over,” Rose urged.
“He’s a trainer for Blade?” Kendal was taken aback, looking at Flynn in disbelief.
She thought Rose had called someone to solve the problem, but it was Flynn!
And this despicable man turned out to be a trainer for the Blade Special Forces!
Rose nodded, “Yes, he brought Blade to Southridge Mountain for special training and happened to run into your people causing trouble, so he used the military.”
Kendal’s face showed a flicker of shock, then she scoffed coldly at Flynn: “I didn’t expect you to have some capability, becoming the chief instructor of Blade.”
“Niarak’s cultivators must really be lacking if someone like you can be an instructor.”
Molly calmly said, “Flynn is a Semi-Grandmaster just like you. Thanks to his help, Ms. Sharp got through this ordeal, so stop your sneering.”
She didn’t like Flynn, but she disliked Kendal even more. Seeing her mocking, Molly couldn’t help but speak up for Flynn.
The implication was clear-
Even if Flynn was not up to par, he helped resolve Ms. Sharp’s problem. What are you doing?
Kendal, of course, caught her drift, dismissively saying: “The same as me? Mr. Goff is a Grandmaster. Can Flynn hold him down?”
“In the end, didn’t I have to solve it?”
After saying this, Kendal turned to Rose, her tone neither salty nor bland: “I’ll arrange a meeting with Mr. Goff in the next few days to sort this out.”
With that, Kendal got into her car without looking back and drove away from Crystalline Summit.
A few miles down the road, she couldn’t bear the pain in her arm anymore, and with a sudden brake, she pulled over.
Tearing her sleeve, she saw her entire arm was bruised and purple, biting her lip in frustration.
“I can’t believe I lost to Molly!”
“So infuriating!”
“You little wretch, wait and see, I’ll get my face back!” Kendal angrily slapped the steering wheel and sped towards the city.
At that moment, employees from Energence Pharmaceuticals arrived at the scene and drove away three trucks.
Molly followed the trucks back to the city.
“What are you smiling at?” Flynn noticed Rose’s secretive smile and couldn’t help asking.
Rose shook her head, her lips pursed in a smile:
“Nothing, just feeling a bit sorry for you. You’re actually a Great Grandmaster, yet they treat you like a Semi-Grandmaster.”
“Aren’t you going to prove it?”
Flynn was nonchalant: “Why bother? Do I need their approval?”
“People doubt me often, do I need to explain everything?”
“Prove myself like a servile dog, how impressive I am?”
“What they think has nothing to do with me!”
Rose sighed helplessly.
That’s just Flynn’s stubborn nature. If you doubt him, he might explain once.
If the doubts continue, he would say no more.
They say a Great Grandmaster is like a dragon in the heavens, and mortals are but ants in their eyes.
It seems there is some truth to this.
Why would a dragon care about the opinions of ants?
Even someone as strong as Layla, if she didn’t target Flynn at every turn, he probably wouldn’t spare her another glance.
“How about a drink tonight?” Flynn extended an invitation to Rose.
“Not interested, I still have work to do,” Rose declined, her eyes still on Flynn.
Flynn shrugged, saying no more.
“Where’s your car key?” Rose asked, slightly annoyed.
“In the car, why?”
Rose quickly got into Flynn’s car, telling him:
“You’re supposed to be training those soldiers, I’ll leave first. You can take Brandon’s car back later.”
With that, she closed the car door.
“What? Hey! Rose, you’re too familiar! There was a seat on the truck, but you had to drive my car back!” Flynn said annoyedly.
Rose didn’t respond, glanced at Flynn through the window, put on his sunglasses, and turned the key.
Vroom! Vroom! Boom!
The Porsche Panamera roared, zooming past Flynn and speeding into the distance.
“Damn! What did I do in my past life to encounter so many weird women?” Flynn watched the tail smoke of the Porsche, exhaling heavily through his nose.
Rose, however, rolled her eyes, somewhat annoyed, murmuring:
“Who told you to be so wooden, not knowing how to invite me more often? Serves you right!”
