“Alright! I’ll make the call right away!” Garrett quickly agreed and followed Ayden as they disappeared into the alley.
Half an hour ago, after parting ways with Rocco, Flynn drove towards downtown.
“When we were driving uphill earlier, you mentioned that if there was anything to discuss after dealing with Frederick, let you know. What is it?” Flynn said while driving.
“Did Madeline go to Plenilune Mountain yesterday?” Scarlet asked.
Flynn nodded and replied calmly, “Yes, she went. We met briefly and I suggested she visit but she declined and left after a few words.”
“She didn’t go up? What was her expression like then? Did her jaw drop in shock?” Scarlet asked anxiously.
“Nope. She just blushed and stuttered nervously,” Flynn thought for a moment before frowning, “Why are you asking all these questions?”
Scarlet ignored Flynn’s question as she muttered to herself, “Nervous? That doesn’t make sense!”
Usually, Madeline would definitely ask Flynn how he ended up living in Thodell Mansion and then follow him up to take a look, right?
Madeline had told Scarlet more than once that when she had enough money, she would definitely buy a villa in Plenilune Mountain.
It showed how much she loved that place.
Now that she knew Flynn lived up there, she didn’t even go up?
Combining the Kaur family’s whispered conversation in the living room earlier in the morning, a trace of suspicion flashed in Scarlet’s eyebrows.
Could it be that Madeline, upon learning that Flynn lived at the mountaintop, was momentarily shocked and unable to react, and then escaped in embarrassment, recalling her previous disdain for Flynn and feeling ashamed?
But thinking like this, it felt off.
The Kaur family didn’t seem excited at all; they even had a worried look on their faces.
“It’s nothing, just find it strange,” Scarlet waved her hand.
Flynn, on the other hand, was indifferent to the matter.
Whether it was strange or not didn’t matter to him as long as the Kaur family didn’t bother him like they did at the Crimson Star Hotel that day.
Chattering like flies, annoying to the point of a headache.
“Flynn, you looked so terrifying when you got angry just now. I even suspected that you could have smacked Mr. Brooks to death with a single slap!” Scarlet recalled with lingering fear.
“No need to doubt, I can truly turn him into a mist of blood, and I don’t even need to lay a hand on him. Within a hundred meters, it’s possible,” Flynn said calmly.
Scarlet blinked her eyes twice, then disbelievingly said, “Cut it out! According to you, a single glare could make him self-destruct? Stop kidding!”
“No need to glare, actually, even if I make a slight move, it is already the limit of what you know,” Flynn said, not explaining any further.
After all, unless witnessed with their own eyes, given Scarlet’s perspective, some things can only be considered incredible and difficult to understand.
He was just adapting to the local customs and restraining his internal strength. Otherwise, if he released it all, not only would Theodore turn into a mist of blood, but Scarlet and the people from Orco Real Estate would also be annihilated.
Flynn’s statement had a strong presence, but in Scarlet’s eyes, it was just a joke. She definitely wouldn’t believe it, so she worriedly asked, “Flynn, by beating up Frederick like that, Mark is likely to seek revenge.”
Flynn had just thrown Frederick to the ground and smashed him seven or eight times, then shot an arrow to break his leg.
Frederick now only had half his life left and would need at least a year of bed rest. If the arrow hit his bones, he might even end up disabled.
Mark would definitely seek revenge for this grudge.
Mark was a Grandmaster! And from the Eight Extremities School. Could Flynn escape this calamity?
“Revenge?” Flynn, however, didn’t care, indifferently saying, “Then bring it on. That son of a bitch isn’t a good person either. Let’s deal with them together.”
Then changing the subject, he asked, “Hungry? What do you want to eat? Let’s find a restaurant together!”
“What restaurant? I’ll cook for you!” Scarlet, seeing how casually Flynn spoke, didn’t think about Mark seeking revenge anymore.
After all, she had experienced so much with Flynn, and every time he managed to turn the danger into safety. She believed that this time wouldn’t be any different.
“Great!” Flynn remembered the time when Scarlet transformed into a little chef, and he casually agreed, stepping on the accelerator.
The car instantly shot up to 180 miles per hour, with the strong wind rushing into the car. The neckline of Scarlet’s dress opened, revealing a pink bra, presenting a scene of magnificence before Flynn’s eyes.
Tsk tsk…
The wind is really strong…
Just as Flynn was about to step on the accelerator again, Scarlet brushed her blown hair back and rolled up the car window.
Flynn pursed his lips, instantly losing interest.
“Ding dong!”
The phone rang, and Flynn, gripping the steering wheel with one hand, picked it up and slowly reduced the speed of the car.
Nathan had sent a message, consisting of just three words: King of Poison.
Followed by a location.
“What’s wrong, Flynn?” Scarlet asked with a furrowed brow, noticing Flynn’s serious expression.
“Nathan found the King of Poison,” Flynn set the car navigation and stepped on the accelerator, heading towards the outskirts of Pendle Village.
He felt a sense of unease and wanted to remind Nathan not to act rashly, to evacuate as soon as he knew the location. But he was afraid that calling would alert the King of Poison, so he decided to rush to the destination as quickly as possible.
Ten minutes later, Flynn arrived at the designated location and burst through the door.
For someone of his level, there was no need to observe and then act. He could simply push his way through.
Upon entering the courtyard, Flynn immediately saw Nathan with a dark complexion.
He was already on the verge of death from poisoning.
Without paying attention to Nathan for the moment, Flynn rushed into the main hall, finding it empty.
“He’s escaped!” Flynn’s disappointment flashed across his face as he returned to the courtyard and opened Nathan’s eyes.
They were bloodshot, with dilated pupils.
“Master…” Nathan’s mouth oozed black blood as he tried to speak, but Flynn gestured for him to stop. “Don’t speak, I will save you!”
Saying that, Flynn turned to Scarlet and said, “Come here, support his head to prevent blood from choking him.”
Scarlet, startled by Nathan’s condition, stood dumbfounded for a moment. Upon hearing Flynn’s call, she quickly tucked the hem of her skirt between her legs and crouched down, cradling the back of Nathan’s head.
Without hesitation, Flynn took out a silver needle from his pocket and inserted it directly into seven acupoints.
Then, Flynn crouched on one side of Nathan and started massaging his abdomen in a rhythmic manner.
A miraculous scene unfolded.
The blood vessels on Nathan’s body began to pulsate, as if something was moving inside, wave after wave rushing towards his heart, and his abdomen was squirming and rumbling.
Then, his stomach began to expand, forming a small lump.
Scarlet’s face was filled with astonishment as she watched Nathan’s abdomen wriggling non-stop. Unintentionally, she lowered her head to study it.
However, as she lowered her head, her ample bosom sagged, creating a large gap in her chest.
And because she was afraid of Nathan spitting blood and dirtying her skirt, Scarlet gathered her skirt and tucked it between her legs, creating a view that happened to be in front of Flynn.
Her slender legs were tightly pressed together, revealing a glimpse of white lace-trimmed silk lingerie in the middle…
