Chapter 276 Too Dominant and Masculine!

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-6-4

“Do you know where you are, calling Mr. Swanson garbage?”
“Mr. Howe and Mr. Calder came all the way to help his boss, and this guy says they’re not suitable as partners for Energence Pharmaceuticals?”
“I don’t know what Rose is thinking, why keep someone like him around? He’s embarrassing us everywhere!”
Braiden’s partners shook their heads in disgust.
A bodyguard, Cruz’s puppet, dared to terminate the partnership with Rose and find his own partners? Was he out of his mind? With the Swanson family alliance pressing down on them, who would dare take on Energence Pharmaceuticals as a hot potato?
Corbin was furious with Flynn, “Ms. Sharp agreed to the price issue already. Who do you think you are meddling in business matters?”
“What’s wrong with asking for an extra ten percent profit? Now that no one else dares take on Energence Pharmaceuticals’ orders except me.”
Tristan also said, “You’ve seen the current situation. Helping Rose comes with significant risks. There’s nothing wrong with increasing our profit by ten percent!”
Flynn sneered, “Since you dare take ten percent profit, then you should bear the corresponding risks. Don’t you agree?”
“If you really stand by Ms. Sharp’s side wholeheartedly, then just leave directly instead of arguing with trash like Braiden here.”
“Cowards who fear death so much aren’t worthy of cooperating with Energence Pharmaceuticals or even enjoying its benefits!”
This statement caused an uproar among those present.
Not worthy of cooperation or benefits? Did this guy not understand the current situation at all?
Rose was begging them!
If Corbin and Tristan didn’t cooperate, it will be a problem whether Energence Pharmaceuticals can continue operating or not.
Those present were speechless towards Flynn.
Braiden laughed when he heard this.
The purpose of holding this gathering was also to scare off Corbin and Tristan but he didn’t expect that Flynn would provoke them without him having to lift a finger.
But there was another important purpose for this gathering.
Braiden had to ensure that the competition continued and win that tonne of Bloodwort from Rose so he teased her, “Ms. Sharp, I think Flynn is more like your boss than you; why don’t you stand up and let him sit down instead?”
Rose looked unhappy; her gaze towards Flynn was somewhat pitiful.
Although everything was given by him, still he was too domineering; too chauvinistic.
She had to be obedient like a wife; she had to listen to everything he said otherwise it wouldn’t work out well for her.
Rose was also a bit stubborn, so she said to Braiden, “I’m willing to use Bloodwort as a bet!”
“Good! That’s the kind of attitude a boss should have! Who listens to a guard for everything?” Braiden laughed.
Flynn knew that Rose was still upset about something. He remembered their argument when he spanked her and felt like he needed to give in to her a bit. So he calmly said, “Using Bloodwort as a bet is fine, but I also want to participate in the competition.”
As soon as Flynn spoke those words, Braiden burst out laughing. “Great! We’ve been wanting to take you down for ages!”
“But it’s funny how things work out,” Flynn continued. “All my friends here today have had issues with you guys before. Even if I didn’t agree with your request, they wouldn’t want it either.”
With that said, Braiden gestured towards the middle-aged man on his left and introduced him, “This is Sullivan Cox, owner of Unmatched Boxing Gym! He’ll be competing against Mr. Calder’s men today!”
Sullivan stood up abruptly and bowed towards Camden while glaring at Flynn with murderous intent.
“So you’re Ismael’s dad,” Flynn chuckled. “Doesn’t he call himself ‘daddy’ when talking to you at home too?”
Flynn had beaten Ismael senseless at Fish Dragon Villa before and what stuck out most in his mind was the guy’s foul mouth.
“Don’t get cocky kid,” Sullivan growled coldly while clenching his fists tightly together. “You hurt my son and Miguel; today I’ll personally end your life!”
Garrett then stood up laughing, “Mr. Cox, this won’t do; I’ve got some big scores settled with this little bastard too! Let me beat him half dead first before you move in!”
Everyone laughed upon hearing Garrett’s words. It seemed like Flynn had made quite an enemy of himself by offending so many people within such short time.
Andrew sneered coldly, “Flynn, my grandpa’s witchcraft has reached its peak level; after tonight you’ll know what it means not being able live or die!”
Ignoring them all completely now, Flynn turned around towards Camden instead, “You’re not even worth fighting against – just surrender already.”
Everyone present froze upon hearing this. Did this guy come here just for laughs? How could he ask them all surrender without even starting the fight yet?
“Is there anyone else who can speak such arrogant words about themselves? This guy’s brain is probably not like that of a normal person.”
Corbin’s mouth twitched with anger as he turned to Rose and said, “Which side is this guy on? How can he say such ominous things without even trying?”
Camden glared at him fiercely and rebuked, “Kid, I didn’t like you from the start. Why do you have to interfere in everything? We’ve never met before. How do you know I’m not good enough?”
“You’re still in the intermediate stage of inner strength while Sullivan has already reached the peak of advanced inner strength. You won’t be able to beat him.”
Flynn shook his head, feeling exhausted from talking with them.
But it was understandable since Camden wasn’t even a grandmaster and couldn’t see the energy inside Sullivan’s body.
“I didn’t expect your mouth skills were so good besides your eyesight,” Sullivan sneered at Flynn as he suddenly released his energy.
Boom!
A gust of wind spread out from Sullivan’s center.
In an instant, it formed a circle that rushed towards all directions with a deafening sound.
For a moment, dust flew up into the air and stones rolled around wildly within thirty meters radius. It was like a terrifying sandstorm had swept through the area.
When everything settled down again, Sullivan stood still where he was before but his spine trembled as if firecrackers were exploding inside him.
This was called opening dragon back which meant that he had stopped suppressing his inner strength and now fully unleashed it all outwards.
“Oh my god! Mr. Cox is so domineering when releasing his internal energy outwardly! He has completely risen to another level compared to last time we saw him. Did he advance one step further towards becoming a grandmaster?”
“Nope but almost there though; Mr. Cox himself said that right now he has reached advanced inner strength just one step away from becoming grandmaster!”
“Ah! So close then; isn’t this considered quasi-grandmaster already?! My goodness! Mr. Cox will become third grandmaster after War God Cruz and Mr. Powell!”
Everyone exclaimed in amazement while looking at Sullivan with respectful eyes.
Once someone reached grandmaster level, they became an existence capable of dominating their domain; noble families would try their best to get them on board or pay huge sums for them to join their family.
Like Mark Powell, the sub-leader of the Eight Extremities School’s Niarak branch, who became the sect leader after reaching the rank of Grandmaster, he immediately received the title of the helm master of the Niarak branch of the Eight Extremities School.
He commanded thousands of followers and became a formidable presence that even the prominent families of Niarak feared.
If one advanced to become a Grandmaster, there was a possibility of receiving an invitation from the country to become a military officer, just like the example of the War God Cruz.
Corbin’s face changed drastically upon seeing this scene. He turned to ask Camden, “Do you have confidence?”
“No… I don’t. I’ve just reached the stage of internal energy attainment, barely touching the threshold of mastering internal energy. I’m afraid I would lose…” Camden looked gloomy, and the previous enthusiasm was gone.
Rose felt a sudden shock. She couldn’t believe that for the second time, she encountered such a situation, where her opponent conceded without even trying…
At that moment, everyone on the scene suddenly realized something. The exclamations ceased abruptly, and all eyes turned to Flynn. Their faces showed expressions of astonishment.
Only those at the level of Grandmaster or higher could perceive the normal state of a warrior’s aura and deduce their realm.
When Sullivan didn’t release his internal energy outward, Flynn could still discern that he had reached the stage of internal energy mastery. He also saw that Camden had achieved intermediate internal energy mastery.
Could it be that Flynn was a Grandmaster, or even stronger?!
