Chapter 248 Want to Collaborate? It’s Too Late!

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-6-4

Three years ago, a small-scale epidemic broke out in Northwestern Border. The research institution led by the Ministry of Health developed a special drug, but its clinical effect was not good.
The Sixth Elder led Hudson to Demon Island and with Flynn’s assistance, improved the drug’s effectiveness and ultimately controlled the epidemic.
Flynn had a chance encounter with him.
What!?
Hudson, the Minister of Health?
That was a high-ranking official at ministerial level!
Ministerial level was equivalent to state governor. Above that were deputy national level and national level!
Katrina frowned along with others.
Rose also looked skeptical.
It was true that Flynn knew Roman and had an unusual relationship with Asco Entertainment International’s boss Teddy, but they only had fame without any real power.
The Minister of Health Hudson? That was a high-ranking official!
Even in Eahta, he could still be considered important!
Gunner and his bodyguards were initially confused but then burst into laughter like thunder, “I’m laughing so hard! This guy actually said he knows Mr. McGuire? I know Imperial Center Sixth Elder too! If he knows him, then I know one of Northern Territory’s top ten kings!”
“I thought it was ridiculous when he claimed to know someone from Shipmeda’s Medicine Administration Bureau; I didn’t expect this guy would jump three levels straight up to a minister!”
Gunner laughed until tears streamed down his face, “I’ve drunk too much; I can’t believe I’ve listened to him bragging for so long here!”
“But it’s great though; not only did we get some comedy entertainment for free, we also found out what kind of people Rose has under her command.”
Rose looked unhappy as she turned to Gunner, “If you have nothing else going on here, please leave us alone during dinner.”
Gunner ignored her request as his gaze swept over the white wine in front of Flynn coldly saying, “If you think you can bluff me just by talking big, then save your breath.”
“Here’s my offer again. Drink this glass of white wine then apologize respectfully or else today will not end well for you!”
His bodyguards behind him smirked while shaking their knives eagerly seeking revenge for their brother-in-arms’ honor.
Flynn became increasingly gloomy as he spoke coldly, “Well then, let me give you an opportunity too. Apologize to Ruth and Ms. Sharp respectfully before kneeling down outside!”
Gunner chuckled and sneered, “Do you see what my men are holding? Do you still dare to negotiate with me?”
“Not interested?” Flynn’s eyes flashed with a cold light as he slowly stood up.
Gunner didn’t even lift his eyelids and even took a sip of his drink and said calmly, “You need to think about the consequences if you mess with me!”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
As soon as he finished speaking, he heard several sounds of bones being shattered by fists. There was also the sound of a knife falling to the ground followed by bodies hitting the floor.
Gunner turned around and noticed that all six henchmen who were showing off just now had fainted on the ground! He didn’t even hear them scream.
Six armed thugs taken care of in two seconds! What kind of skill was this?
Flynn bent down and picked up the military knife from the ground. He looked at Katrina and others expressionlessly and said, “It’s going to get bloody next. You guys should go out for a while.”
The employees from R&D department left their private room along with closing its door behind them.
Gunner saw that all his bodyguards were defeated so he became nervous and asked Rose, “What are you going to do? Rose, aren’t you going to stop him?”
Rose couldn’t help but glance at Flynn before saying lightly, “Gunner, I already warned you not to provoke him earlier. Why didn’t you believe me?”
“You should apologize quickly or it will be very painful.”
“What?!” Gunner panicked completely then furiously shouted, “Rose, this is allowing your subordinates to commit violence!”
“If he attacks again, then there is no way for us escape; I will definitely call 911 on your group!”
“Allowing?! If only you had more contact with him, then maybe you would know how childish your words sound,” Rose sighed while shaking her head.
Hadn’t Flynn done anything shocking yet? Whoever provoked him would suffer bad luck due to his nasty temper!
“Bang!”
Flynn grabbed Gunner’s neck then slammed it hard onto table top. The blood gushed out from Gunner’s nose along with two teeth falling out; Gunner held onto table edge tightly while crying out angrily, “You son-of-a-bitch…”
“Bang!”
Before he finished speaking, Flynn stabbed into Gunner’s hand back directly using the military knife which rotated once making an instant hole in thick palm flesh causing screams full agony. “Ahhhhhhh… you murderer…” cried Gunner miserably.
Even Rose couldn’t help but open her mouth wide in shock before shaking her head again, “Gunner, today is unavoidable so hurry up apologize. Otherwise, your other hand won’t be able to be saved.”
Gunner was truly afraid this time, gritting his teeth through the pain as he said, “Flynn, I’m sorry. Can you let me go so I can apologize to Ms. Sharp and Ruth properly?”
“After you apologize, can we talk about working together with Ms. Sharp?”
Flynn asked coldly, “Do you really expect us to believe a liar like you?”
“Save your breath,” Flynn continued before Gunner could respond. “Even if you did want to work together, it’s too late now.”
Flynn picked up a military knife from the ground and viciously stabbed it into Gunner’s right hand before twisting it around and pinning him to the table.
“Ahh!” Gunner screamed in agony as he nearly passed out from the pain.
He never would have expected that Rose would have someone so ruthless on her team.
Nor could he imagine that as one of Shipmeda’s top medicinal herb merchants who commanded respect wherever he went, he would be humiliated by a mere “nobody” like this.
With broken teeth and hands covered in blood and flesh, he wouldn’t even be able to hold anything again even if he was sent to the hospital for treatment. Gunner was done for.
“You wanted Ruth to accompany your drinking? Well then come on! I’ll drink with you!” Flynn poured a glass full of white liquor over Gunner’s injured hand like watering flowers in a garden.
The alcohol seeped into his wound causing an excruciating sensation akin to being sliced open by razor blades, making his entire body convulse with pain.
“You’re finished! You better kill me today or else when I get free, I will make sure your life is forfeit!” After writhing in agony for some time, Gunner became delirious, spitting up blood foam while screaming at the top of his lungs.
Wanting death? Fine by him!
In the chilling atmosphere, Flynn pulled out the military knife from Gunner’s right hand and raised it towards his neck.
Just then, the door to the private room swung open, and an elderly man walked in, escorted by a burly man standing at two meters tall.
The old man was dressed in black suit. Despite a slight hunch, he exuded a domineering aura, carrying an immense pressure.
The burly man, resembling the “Gregor Clegane” from a movie, was as muscular as the Hulk, closely following behind the old man.
“Barney Spencer!”
Rose, upon seeing the newcomer, abruptly stood up, her expression filled with endless astonishment.
The person before her was none other than the head of the Spencer family, the first gatekeeper of Shipmeda, renowned for overpowering all other prestigious families in Shipmeda!
How did he come here?
