“Smack!”
Uriah slapped Kamari hard across the face and shouted, “You bastard! Apologize to Mr. Clark on your knees!”
Kamari was hit so hard that he saw stars and blood dripped from his mouth. He covered his face in fear, completely bewildered.
Seeing his son’s foolishness, Uriah became even angrier.
Yesterday, this little bastard had a swollen face like a pig’s head, so Uriah didn’t dare let him show up. He had planned to take him to visit in a few days but he never expected that this idiot would provoke Flynn today!
After scolding his son, Uriah did not hesitate at all. He quickly walked over to Flynn and took a deep breath before bowing humbly with respect on his face.
“Mr. Clark, my useless son must have offended you. It’s all because I didn’t discipline him strictly enough.”
“I apologize for this jerk on behalf of him. Don’t worry; I will definitely teach him a lesson when we get back home!”
The old man who came with Uriah was stunned when he saw this scene.
Uriah was one of the top ten influential people in Niarak; why was he being so polite to this young man? Madeline also couldn’t believe it as she looked at them incredulously.
Wasn’t the Wong family here to ask for forgiveness? Why were they apologizing to Flynn instead?
Flynn remained calm and said, “Mr. Wong, your son does need some discipline.”
“Mr. Clark, you’re right,” nodded Uriah repeatedly before turning around and seeing Kamari still standing there dumbfounded made him furious, “You bastard! Are you deaf?! I told you to kneel down and apologize to Mr. Clark now! Immediately!”
But Kamari stubbornly refused, “Dad, are you getting senile or something? This guy is just the security captain of Energence Pharmaceuticals or the Kaur family’s son-in-law with no real skills whatsoever.”
“He’s just a swindler! Yesterday he tricked me into thinking that my jade pendant was an ancient relic which carried negative energy; trying to convince me throw it away only for himself taking it later!”
“Not only do you not punish him but also want me apologize?”
He thought that Uriah wasn’t someone who easily recognized others’ superiority over himself which made Kamari very unhappy.
As the legitimate heir of one of Niarak’s top families, how could he kneel down and apologize for some scammer?
The old man frowned when hearing what Kamari said while looking at the jade pendant hanging around his neck.
“Mr. Wong,” the old man nodded gravely, “What Mr. Clark said is true. Your family has an abnormal geomancy due solely because of this piece.”
Kamari suddenly felt familiar looking at the old man while asking, “Dad, who is he?”
“Shut up!” Uriah shouted, turning to the old man with a respectful tone. “Master Hewson, please explain in detail.”
“Master Hewson!” Kamari’s eyes widened at the name. This was Toby Hewson, the geomancy master who helped the Wong family relocate their ancestors’ graves five years ago!
Toby pointed at the Jade on Kamari’s neck and said, “This is an Aperture Jade, which ancient people used to plug their nose, ears and other seven orifices during burial.”
“And Mr. Wong wore an even more sinister type of jade that was used to plug anuses. It is the most evil among the Aperture Jades. I can see that this jade is filled with negative energy and has been soaked in corpses for hundreds of years.”
“This object brings great misfortune; wearing it for a long time will definitely affect your family’s fortune.”
Boom!
The father and son from the Wong family were terrified.
Madeline and Scarlet felt nauseous upon hearing this explanation.
Kamari had just put the jade in his mouth for five minutes!
“Oh my god! That’s disgusting! Did Mr. Wong indirectly eat ancient human shit?” Scarlet took two steps back and retched several times.
Kamari was even worse off.
The jade was smooth as ice all over his body; it felt amazing when he touched it. He loved it so much!
Especially during hot weather when he put it in his mouth for a while; his whole body would feel cool instantly.
Now he finally understood that this thing was an extremely evil object. How could it not be cool when he put it in his mouth?
Three years… three whole years!
During this time, he had put the jade in his mouth more than 100 times. Even if there were ancient excrement on top of it, he licked them clean!
He might not believe Flynn but couldn’t doubt what the geomancy Master Toby said about it.
Uriah gave him another slap as soon as Kamari thought about all these things before vomiting again uncontrollably from both nostrils and throat simultaneously.
Smack!
Uriah slapped him hard enough to make blood fly out of Kamari’s nose while also forcing back vomit into his stomach again…
This scene made Madeline and Scarlet nauseous once again as they retreated five meters away from them.
Uriah gritted his teeth unable to control himself any longer; kicking Kamari’s butt with all of his might sending him flying three meters away while cursing loudly, “Mr Clark noticed something wrong with that damn stone yesterday but you still wore it like nothing happened? Are you trying to kill everyone from the family?”
“Master Hewson said there was no problem with the geomancy layout of the house. I was wondering what was going on, but it turns out it’s because of your jade pendant!”
“Watch me today, I’ll beat you to death, you little bastard!”
Uriah cursed and kicked, each kick more powerful than the last. Kamari screamed in pain and fear.
“Mr. Wong, please be gentle. If you hurt him badly, your father will be heartbroken!” Toby saw Uriah raging and quickly pulled him back.
Uriah kicked more than a dozen times before getting tired and stopping his actions with a stern voice, “Go home and I’ll deal with you again! You won’t leave your house for a year!”
“Now apologize to Mr. Clark! Kneel down!” Seeing Uriah so violent, Kamari was terrified and rolled over to kneel beside Flynn.
“I’m sorry…” Kamari apologized tremblingly with fear in his eyes.
He never thought that he had caused bad luck for his family.
And he had complete faith in Flynn’s abilities now.
Within two days there would be bloodshed; wasn’t this coming true now?
Uriah saw his son trembling all over as he knocked his head on the ground repeatedly out of fear; then turned around to smile apologetically at Flynn, “Mr. Clark, this brat has been spoiled since childhood but I have already taught him a lesson today.”
“If you’re still not satisfied then let me break his arm right now!”
What!
Kamari heard this threat from Uriah and almost passed out from fright.
“Please spare my life Mr. Clark… I won’t do it again… I won’t do it again…” Kamari begged while hitting his forehead against the floor repeatedly.
Madeline watched all of this in shock; she couldn’t believe that just to please Flynn, the Wong family head would consider breaking his own son’s arm?!
“Forget about it,” said Flynn nonchalantly waving away any further discussion or action on Uriah’s part. “He is not too evil after all.”
Kamari stood up quickly after hearing those words from Flynn. He felt relieved when he realized that only skin-deep injuries were inflicted upon him. He thought he’d die today but instead just got beaten up. A few days’ rest would make everything alright!
Uriah breathed a sigh of relief before handing over two bank cards, “Mr. Clark, I’m really sorry for making you pay upfront. The yellow card has 10 million which is meant for Ms. Sharp.”
“The purple card has 20 million, you can keep that as compensation for your troubles.”
Flynn didn’t refuse these cards handed by Uriah, and accepted them directly without any hesitation. Upon finishing everything, Uriah respectfully stated, “To tell you truthfully, my family also holds some influence here in Niarak.”
“I have to ask, who was the idiot at the auction that dared to go against you and forced you to raise the price so high?” He asked this question not only to save Flynn’s face but also because he felt sorry for the extra 20 million spent.
Originally, 20 million would have been enough to settle things, but thanks to some fool, the Wong family had to spend 50 million. Even though they were worth billions of dollars, money didn’t just fall from trees.
He really wanted to know who made the Wong family spend an extra 30 million!
