As soon as Augustine spoke, everyone was stunned. Hamish, however, sneered at Flynn and said contemptuously, “You went to great lengths to deceive Callie by hiring someone to impersonate Master Timothy. That’s so shameless!”
“Trash like you should stay in jail forever. You harm anyone who crosses your path and now you’ve harmed Callie!”
“What do you mean, Hamish?” Callie’s expression turned cold and she looked displeased.
“Callie, why are you so foolish? Hamish means that this Timothy in front of us is a fake!”
“Hamish has met Master Timothy before. His words were correct. This guy’s acting is really good! He actually found someone to impersonate Master Timothy! What a scumbag!”
“Yeah! Most people don’t know what Master Timothy looks like since he doesn’t show himself often in public. This guy took advantage of that loophole! Luckily for us, Hamish has met him before or else we would have been fooled!”
Everyone was furious now; even some neutral girls were angry with Flynn’s poor character for using such despicable tactics just to win over Callie.
Callie was also taken aback but immediately shook her head and said, “It’s impossible. Mr. Clark would never resort to such tactics, and there’s no need to!”
The Pearce family went to great lengths to invite Flynn to treat her illness, and after persistent pleas, Flynn reluctantly agreed to help.
As for the banquet at the Fish Dragon Villa, it was only after countless requests from the Pearce family that Flynn agreed to attend.
Flynn didn’t care much about associating with the Pearce family nor did he feel anything towards her either; he was an unconventional person who lived beyond worldly desires. How could he possibly send her a fake painting of Timothy just because he wanted her affection?
“You’re too naive!” exclaimed one girl angrily at Callie. “Demon Island has all sorts of people, from high IQ criminals down to lowly scammers from all walks of life. It would be easy for someone like him to deceive you if your heart wasn’t clouded.”
“That’s right,” another girl chimed in agreement. “This guy knows that you have feelings for him and will do anything just so that he can get close enough… he used multiple lies on top of each other. How shameless!”
“We’re lucky we saw through his intentions. Otherwise, if the two of you were alone together… who knows what could happen?”
Everyone became angrier when they realized how easily Flynn had manipulated such a good-hearted girl like Callie.
Augustine heard this conversation and his smile froze instantly as confusion set in: It was true that Augustine himself had posed as Master Timothy but the real one was present too. Yet neither one could confirm whether or not “Scenery of Streams, Mountains, Flowers, and Moon” was genuine or fake?
Flynn chuckled at this and realized that Hamish had never actually met Timothy.
Thinking about it, he suddenly became interested and turned to Augustine. “Is Micah coming over later?”
“Yeah, when Micah called me, he was directing his team to wrap up the exhibition center. Once everything is loaded onto the truck, he’ll come over,” Augustine replied.
Augustine’s face turned cold as he looked at Hamish and asked, “Mr. Clark, should I teach this kid a lesson?”
He was the Sixth Elder’s man with great internal strength. As long as Flynn nodded his head, Hamish could immediately become blood mist.
Hamish was just from a small family clan; killing him would be nothing but a fart!
“Heh heh, did you see that? We’ve seen through their scheme and now they’re angry enough to want to hit Hamish!”
“Thank goodness for Hamish; otherwise this guy’s plan would have succeeded. From now on Callie needs to be careful about who she makes friends with!”
“They always resort to violence; these two are only capable of so much. Hmph! Do they not know whose hotel this is? If you dare lay a hand on him, we guarantee you won’t leave these doors alive!”
Flynn waved his hand at Augustine and said, “No need. I think what will happen later will definitely make him more uncomfortable than if we hit him.”
Callie listened in on everyone’s conversation with a headache and sighed helplessly before shaking her head, “Mr. Clark, why don’t we go somewhere else?”
“It’s fine. I suddenly feel like sitting down for a drink,” Flynn glanced at Augustine who was fuming with anger but couldn’t help finding it amusing before gesturing for him to sit down.
Hamish saw that Flynn wasn’t leaving even after sitting down himself which made him unhappy, “You two better confess honestly or else I’ll call Master Timothy right now!”
Before Hamish could speak any further, however, another girl spoke up beside them, “Mr. Lloyd not only knows Master Timothy but has also become friends with him exchanging contact information too.”
“You two were just showing off today which led you straight into trouble. It serves you right!”
After hearing this, even Augustine couldn’t help but laugh bitterly unsure of who exactly was showing off here.
“Forget it. No matter how one puts it, Callie invited him here so since they aren’t bringing up the issue, let’s not mention it either.”
“Well then, after going through all of this, Callie should know what kind of person he really is by now, so she’ll definitely be more cautious in the future.”
“I know I shouldn’t be dealing with these kinds of people, but I just can’t understand how they can still sit down and eat with a straight face after we’ve exposed their conspiracy!”
Everyone didn’t want to dwell on it too much, but seeing Flynn and Augustine chatting as if nothing had happened made them feel angry.
Hamish said to Flynn, “Since you saved Callie’s life, I won’t kick you out. Just stay here and eat honestly.”
“With me here, don’t even think about tricking Callie into leaving today!”
After speaking, he turned to Augustine and said, “You’re not young anymore. You should have grandchildren by now. Why do you insist on being involved in scams with this kid?”
“If I’m not mistaken, the artwork in Callie’s hands was painted by you!”
Augustine suppressed his laughter and nodded. “Yes it was painted by me. What about it?”
Hamish nodded slightly and said lightly, “I see some artistic talent in you. I’ve seen the piece that Callie has in her hands; it’s really well done.”
“But even if your painting is impeccable, you’re not Timothy Master.”
“In the future, focus on painting your own work instead of getting involved with certain people! Work hard at studying art; there will be no limit to what you can achieve!”
Augustine was stunned by Hamish’s words for a moment before glancing at Flynn while holding back his laughter.
“Uh… thank you for your guidance little brother.”
“No need to thank me; I don’t have much of a bad impression of you so since we’ve met, let’s consider ourselves friends,” Hamish waved his hand lightly before saying. “As long as you don’t assist evil deeds or associate yourself with that guy anymore, then I can introduce Timothy Master to guide your work.”
“You should know that being guided by Timothy Master would be an honor for life! It would also bring glory upon our family name!”
Callie couldn’t help but roll her eyes at Hamish’s jealousy while raising her glass towards Flynn.
Just then five Cadillacs pulled up outside the Everland Hotel.
A man who looked imposingly handsome walked out from one car wearing a bright blue suit jacket over his broad shoulders while smoking a cigar between two fingers.
Following him came another short chubby man who carried himself like he owned the place also smoking a cigar as he got out from another car along side more than ten black-suited bodyguards giving off an air of mafia boss-like presence.
The guests inside the lobby all felt chills run down their spines when they saw these two men walking towards them accompanied by such intimidating bodyguards.
“Mr. Kennedy!” shouted Hamish respectfully running up towards them with an expression full of admiration written across his face.
