Roman did not reveal Flynn’s identity as the King of the Underworld to Nathan, only stating that they had a master-disciple relationship.
In Nathan’s eyes, Flynn was just a rural doctor who knew a few unconventional remedies. He believed Flynn had received Roman’s respect merely by luck and lacked any real skill.
Nathan felt genuine disgust and disdain for Flynn.
Upon hearing Nathan’s words, Flynn’s expression darkened. He turned to Roman and said, “Why are you and Lennon the same? Your medical skills and conduct are impeccable, yet the disciples you teach become more arrogant one after another.”
“With such temperaments, how can they carry on your legacy?”
“You’re right!” Roman showed a bit of embarrassment, glared fiercely at Nathan, gestured for him to be silent, then smiled at Flynn, saying, “This kid is the eldest grandson of the Fletcher family, a prominent member in Eahta’s clan. He has a strong and impulsive personality, can’t keep his thoughts to himself. I’ll definitely educate him properly when I get back.”
Then he shifted the topic and continued, “Well… about Ayden Wallace’s matter, my medical skills are on par with his, but due to my old age, my martial arts skills are not up to par.”
“The Green Liniment Ghost Doctor travels all over the place and can’t be reached at the moment.”
“At present, only you and Layla can handle this matter.”
“Layla learned about this through some channels, and she contacted me wanting to take care of it. The kid has good martial arts and medical skills.”
“However, I always feel that she’s not quite ready to deal with this matter and haven’t agreed for now.”
“Could you reconsider…”
Flynn remained expressionless upon hearing this, and calmly said, “If Layla wants to handle this, let her do it! It might be good for her to face some challenges.”
He had learned about Ayden from some influential figures on Demon Island.
This person’s abilities were no less than Roman and the Green Liniment Ghost Doctor. His martial arts skills were unfathomable, and his proficiency in using poison techniques was extraordinary. Layla indeed lacked some experience.
“Challenges?” Nathan coldly snorted, “Even if Ms. Woods can’t defeat the King of Poison, she’s still stronger than you, a coward who hides his head.”
“I’ve disliked you since I saw you entering. You’re so careless and indifferent, relying on knowing a few unconventional remedies, pretending to be someone important here!”
“If it weren’t for my master’s insistence, you wouldn’t even be allowed through the doors of the Wong family, let alone seeing his true appearance!”
“Your ancestors’ graves could receive an invitation from Mr. Price, but you, disregarding Mr. Price’s request, leaving without paying respects, and even asking my master to do things for you upon leaving?”
“A rural commoner like you dares to order around my master?”
“A grown man, inferior to even a woman, a useless and timid waste!”
He coldly scanned Flynn with a disdainful expression.
This guy, being so young, how could his medical skills be comparable to Roman’s?
He was just a local doctor who knew a few remedies, fortunate to have gained Roman’s favor, forgetting his humble origins!
With limited skills but acting arrogantly, he was no different from a nouveau riche!
If his words and actions were humble and polite, Nathan could reluctantly accept it. Even calling him “master” wouldn’t matter.
But he didn’t want to talk in such a pompous manner, always maintaining an attitude of being indisputable.
It seemed as if he had naturally taken the lead, ordering Roman as if it were a matter of course.
Nathan couldn’t stand it no matter how he looked at it.
“Shut up!” Roman’s face changed dramatically after hearing this. After reprimanding Nathan, he turned to Flynn and said, “My disciple has been rude to you. I’ll take him back for punishment. If you don’t want to intervene, I’ll escort you back.”
Nathan sneered, looking at Flynn with disdain, and said, “You should leave. Staying here will only subject you to more insults.”
“However, remember one thing from now on. Don’t use my master’s name to elevate your status because you can’t bear his respect, and you don’t deserve it!”
“Get lost, don’t pollute my eyes here.”
After saying that, he splashed the tea at Flynn’s feet with a disgusted expression.
Flynn was about to leave, but seeing Nathan’s impoliteness, his expression immediately turned cold. He stared at Nathan and said coldly, “Do you know why I didn’t agree to come out? Because your attitude annoys me.”
“Annoyed by my attitude, and that’s why you declined?” Nathan sneered and joked, “Did my words hurt your feelings? Feeling unable to measure up, using this reason to save face and continue maintaining your mysterious image?”
“Well, don’t say more. This reason is really not bad; I don’t know how to refute it!”
“Hehe, why is your face so dark? Angry? Then it proves yourself!”
“Compare martial arts with me, or else put away your laughable pride!”
“Challenge?” Flynn smiled faintly, “Not afraid I’ll shatter your pride?”
Nathan laughed instead of getting angry and disdainfully said, “Rest assured, my pride is harder than your bones!”
“Fool! Do my words just go in one ear and out the other? Quickly apologize to your master!” Roman was infuriated after hearing Nathan’s repeated disrespect.
He quickly came to Nathan’s side, slapped him across the face, and erupted in anger.
“Apologize to him? Can he bear it?” Nathan stubbornly raised his head, with a defiant expression,
“Master, even if you beat me to death today, I must prove that he doesn’t deserve to be your master!”
“You wicked brat, intentionally trying to provoke me to death! I’ll beat…” Roman, infuriated, trembled and stomped his feet, ready to scold and beat Nathan again.
“Let it be!” Flynn waved his hand and said casually, “He holds you in such high regard in his mind that he can’t accept me becoming your master, feeling indignant on your behalf.”
“Moreover, as the eldest grandson of the Fletcher family, a prominent member of the Eahta clan, his arrogance is sky-high. It’s reasonable for him to look down on me.”
“Let’s do this; he can be considered my disciple as well. Today, I’ll help you discipline him!”
Seeing Flynn’s response, Roman could only nod and said respectfully, “Please be lenient; the Fletcher family only has this one grandson…”
“Understood.” Flynn waved his hand and looked towards the furious Nathan, saying, “Let’s begin!”
“Discipline me?” Nathan scoffed with disdain, “You, a country bumpkin, think you’re that formidable? I can defeat you with a single move and put you back in your place!”
“Let’s see if you dare to show off in front of my master!”
Like Layla, he also practiced both medicine and martial arts under Roman, learning medical skills from him and martial arts from the dragon fist boxing master Knox Day. Nathan was Knox’s proud disciple and had some fame in the Eahta’s clan.
Among peers, he was outstanding, confident that he could easily defeat Flynn.
The two stood five meters apart, a fierce atmosphere filling the hall instantly.
“The atmosphere seems off!” Uriah, holding a bag of high-quality tea, wanted to see if the two had finished chatting after delivering the tea. As he entered the main hall, he witnessed this scene from a distance.
He couldn’t help but frown, then reluctantly retreated from the main hall.
“Dad, what are you doing? I saw a car parked at the entrance. We have visitors?” Kamari, noticing Uriah’s respectful exit, asked quietly.
“What happened to your face and hands?” Uriah turned around and saw Kamari’s pig-headed face, hands wrapped in gauze, and couldn’t help but be surprised.
Of course, Kamari couldn’t reveal the truth. He had prepared a reason before going to the hospital. He scratched his head and laughed, saying, “I fell down the stairs.”
“It’s nothing, just minor injuries. You don’t need to worry. Hehe…”
“Fell down the stairs?” Uriah’s face darkened upon hearing this. Angrily, he said, “I asked you to work in a smaller company for some experience before taking over our family business. But for years, you’ve made no progress, either on leave or causing trouble!”
“You even fell down the stairs. What else are you good for?”
“Why did I give birth to such a worthless thing, despite being wise throughout my life!”
