“Mr. Spears, you’re the guest. I’ll handle this piece of trash!” Jedidiah’s face turned extremely ugly. After comforting Andrew, he angrily rebuked Flynn.
“Do you know what you’re saying? I’ll give you one more chance to repeat what you just said!”
Andrew nodded and sat down after listening, but the hostility on his face still lingered, staring fiercely at Flynn with a very grim expression.
“Say it again?” Flynn asked, tilting his head. “Can’t you understand human language? Or are you deaf?”
“This is a place for civilized people. If you can’t understand human language, then get out of here. If you’re deaf, have Dr. Garrett treat your ears!”
Seeing Flynn still being stubborn, the people at nearby tables couldn’t help but be surprised and started discussing again.
“This person is so damn arrogant, dare to speak like this to Mr. Spears’ friend! You know, people who can establish a relationship with Dr. Garrett’s direct descendant have a significant background!”
“Yes! People tend to group together, and I see that the two men next to Mr. Spears also have impressive manners and probably have some influence.”
“Now we have a good show to watch. This guy will have to crawl out today! He really doesn’t know how to appreciate kindness!”
Rose’s face darkened and she said to Flynn, “Better safe than sorry, let’s go to the bar next door and have a drink! Anyway, I didn’t get hurt.”
Jedidiah and his companions wer typical second-generation idlers. It was better to take a step back and avoid offending them by arguing here, out of sight, out of mind.
Flynn shook his head and said, “This is not about being injured or not.”
“You keep giving in, and they keep taking advantage. Now they’re using their power to oppress you, and I can’t stand it!”
“Don’t like what you see?” Jedidiah scoffed at the words.
“Who do you think you are? What? Do you want to show off in front of your woman? Have you even considered whether or not you have the ability?”
“I could crush you with one finger! If you can’t stand it, you better endure it for me!”
Several girls who came along with them also sneered.
“This local bastard is so funny, being so lowly yet still trying to act arrogant in front of Mr. Howe!”
“Country bumpkin, Mr. Howe has an official background. His father is a powerful figure in Niarak. I advise you to speak more tactfully!”
“Mr. Spears took a fancy to this wild dog’s wife. He should feel honored and quickly send the woman to Mr. Spears’ bed but dared to resist?”
These women were brought by Jedidiah, who had witnessed Jedidiah’s might countless times and had never encountered such an ungrateful guy.
“Enough with the talk, Mr. Howe! No matter what business it is, it’s all about money if it hasn’t been settled!” Peter pulled out a wad of cash from his bag and threw it in front of Flynn, disdainfully saying, “Mr. Spears has taken a liking to your girlfriend. Here’s $100, 000 as compensation for breaking up with her.”
“Now persuade her to go to the hotel with Mr. Spears! As long as you serve Mr. Spears well, I’ll give each of you another $100, 000!”
Several girls’ eyes lit up at the sight and they looked envious and jealous.
“$100, 000 for one night? Even small stars don’t get paid this much. You can only get this price because Mr. Spears favors you! Hurry up and take the money while being grateful to him!”
“You’re lucky enough to meet Mr. Spears today! Work hard tonight and serve him well; there might be more opportunities in the future!”
“This country bumpkin hit jackpot today; his girlfriend gets paid only $100k for spending one night with Mr. Spears while he earns $200k just by talking nonsense! His ancestors must be proud!”
Rose felt disgusted listening to them and said, “Take away that dirty money!”
“Not enough?” Andrew became impatient again and stood up saying, “It’s already $100k but since I like you so much, I can add another $100k.”
“Money isn’t an issue; skills are key!”
“Call your mom over here to serve a homeless man for one night; I’ll pay her 10 grand!” Flynn looked at Andrew squinting slightly.
Andrew was furious after hearing this remark, “You shithead! Do you want death?”
“Not enough? Then how about adding another 10 grand? Money isn’t an issue, your mom’s skills are key!” Flynn mimicked Andrew.
Everyone was stunned when they heard this remark. He was Dr. Garrett’s grandson who inherited billions from his family fortune!
In Niarak today, a nobody actually dared insult him?
“What the f*ck… is he reincarnated or something?”
“Oh my god! Mr. Spears is a distinguished guest of the Howe family, and yet, this bastard doesn’t give any face!”
“Dr. Garrett lives in Pelens, maybe he doesn’t know Dr. Garrett’s reputation. That’s why Mr. Howe should show off their status!”
Jedidiah looked ferocious,”I’ll teach him some manners.”
“I just wanted to have a quiet drink, but you had to go and pick a fight. Fine, I’ll tell you who I am!”
“My dad is Emanuel Howe!”
“Emanuel Howe?” Flynn was taken aback.
Rose furrowed her brow as well.
“That’s right! Mr. Howe is the son of Niarak’s chief of police. Are you scared now?”
“Look at that bastard’s expression, he clearly froze up. He never expected Mr. Howe’s background to be so impressive!”
“Mr. Howe keeps a low profile and doesn’t like to bring up his father in conversation, but this guy doesn’t know any better and forced Mr. Howe into losing his temper. The only thing waiting for this bastard now is kneeling down and apologizing!”
Jedidiah snorted coldly and sneered at Flynn, “Do you understand how noble we are now?”
“Don’t even mention Mr. Spears spending money on your girlfriend; even if he didn’t spend a penny, you wouldn’t have the guts.”
“You’re just a country bumpkin who should feel lucky just seeing us; remember gratitude!”
“People like you don’t deserve to see our true faces! When meeting us, know your place!”
“Kneel down quickly and apologize with kowtowing before leaving your girlfriend behind! Dare say another word of defiance again? I’ll take your life myself.”
Jedidiah spoke coldly as if he were looking down upon slaves from royalty; all it would take was one light step forward for him to send Flynn straight into oblivion.
“What? Forgive me? Kneel down and apologize before Mr. Spears?” Flynn frowned fiercely with icy glints in his eyes as he walked towards Andrew.
“Mr. Howe truly deserves being born into such an influential family since all he asks for is kneeling down while apologizing instead of getting into an argument with him.”
“Mr. Spears may not be famous in Niarak yet but it’s different for Mr. Howe since he’s the chief’s son; that guy must be terrified by now so much so that in order to gain forgiveness from Mr. Howe, his girlfriend will definitely agree on sleeping with him.”
“Why bother persuading her when she already knows about Mr. Howe’s identity? She’ll definitely follow along with him back to their hotel room while feeling grateful!”
The girls who came along with Jedidiah were full of arrogance on their faces.
They thought after Jedidiah revealed himself as the chief’s son, Rose would kneel before him while fawning over him whereas Flynn would leave timidly after kowtowing once or twice.
“Kneel down already! I forgive your previous impoliteness!” Andrew saw Flynn walking towards him then pointed at the ground coldly speaking out loud.
However…
“You fat pig! You’re worse than nothing!” With one swift motion, Flynn slapped Andrew across the face.
It sent ripples through everyone present!
In a moment of fear, Flynn turned to Jedidiah and stared coldly into his eyes. “Not only did I disobey this fat pig, but I also hit him. Come on, show me how you’re going to take my life!”
