“Are you looking for our boss?” The exhibition staff laughed immediately upon hearing Flynn’s request. “Who do you think you are? I don’t care about you, and now you want our boss to come out?”
“Either come in or get the hell out!”
The person speaking was Alfie Russell, the person in charge of this exhibition. He was dressed in a suit and looked strong and sturdy, having witnessed everything that had just happened.
He thought Flynn was nothing but a worthless plaything from the Clark family who wanted to see their boss. Was he crazy?
“The owner of Easy Auctions, Micah Everett, is from Eahta and also the owner of Ostrad’s largest auction house. He’s not someone ordinary people can meet. This guy still wants him to show up? Is he insane?”
“Mr. Everett is busy with important matters and associates only with high-ranking officials. You’re not even worth a feather. Why would he want to see you?”
“This guy must be an idiot. He said so many vulgar things earlier! If it gets back to Mr. Everett’s ears, he’ll break his legs on the spot! This guy doesn’t leave quickly. Does he really have brain damage!?”
Everyone expressed disdain towards Flynn for thinking buying tickets made him God at such an upscale place where they didn’t need someone like him.
Rose frowned slightly before saying calmly, “After ‘Phoenix Emerges from Cangming’ comes out later, everyone will have a chance to appreciate it.”
“We can sit anywhere we want. Let’s go inside.” She didn’t want Lilia and others affecting her mood as she handed two tickets over to the usher before walking straight inside.
Flynn listened as everyone mocked him while feeling his face grow cold when Rose left without any other choice but following her inside.
The small incident at the entrance ended when ushers began checking tickets.
Lilia entered into the exhibition hall before shaking her head while turning around towards Kimber, “You were right about one thing – this person will always try showing off wherever he goes. Too arrogant!”
“He doesn’t think that just because of his fists alone that he can rule over everything!”
“That might not be entirely true,” Kimber squinted at Flynn’s back coldly while saying. “He probably wants something related to my lady’s engagement with him when meeting Mr. Everett for himself.”
“After all,” she continued speaking after pausing briefly. “Since moving my young lady here requires some face-saving measures from Mr. Everett.”
She then turned around towards Alfie who was responsible for managing exhibitions by saying, “Don’t bother with him anymore since this guy has no relationship whatsoever left between my young lady.”
“If you want to hit and curse, do as you please!”
Alfie nodded and sneered, “He’s just a stray dog. Of course, I won’t bother with him. But if he dares to continue causing trouble, I don’t mind getting my hands dirty and throwing him out.”
“Today, Timothy Houghton is here. There’s no way we’ll let this clown make a fool of himself…”
Flynn, who was walking ahead of them suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned around coldly saying, “What did you just say? Timothy Houghton is here?”
He was Timothy Houghton himself! How could there be another person with the same name? What was Micah up to?
Alfie replied irritably, “Yes! Master Timothy Houghton is having tea with our boss in the office right now!”
“I advise you not to cause any trouble. If Master Timothy Houghton gets angry, you won’t be able to handle it!”
Flynn frowned deeply and took a few quick steps forward towards Rose saying, “I’m going to the restroom first. You go ahead!”
After speaking, he left the crowd heading towards the direction of the office.
Kimber frowned quickly telling Alfie, “He heard that Master Timothy Houghton was here so he probably went over there for an autograph or something like that. You should go check it out!”
“If he disturbs Master Timothy Houghton’s mood, then Mr. Everett will definitely blame your poor performance on this matter!”
Alfie was immediately shocked and followed quickly behind.
Just as Flynn found his way into the office, wanting to push open its door, Alfie suddenly blocked his path glaring at him fiercely while whispering menacingly, “What are you doing here? Is this also somewhere where you can come?”
Flynn responded calmly, “I am actually the real Master Timothy Hougton. That person inside isn’t.”
“I want to ask Micah what exactly he’s up too!”
“You’re really Master Timonthy Houngton?” After hearing this, Alfie paused for a moment before laughing sarcastically, “You little bastard would dare say anything just so that I’d believe your lies?”
“I’ve seen plenty of trash like yourself who would make up any excuse just so they could meet face-to-face with master Timonthy Houngton.”
“Even if by some chance or miracle that you were able see master Timonthy Houngton inside there, do you think asking for an autograph means he’ll give it?”
“Lilia doesn’t even have full confidence yet but what makes someone like yourself think you stand a chance?”
“Kid, I suggest that you roll back into reception honestly otherwise…”
Just as Alfie finished speaking, Flynn kicked open the door.
Inside of their office…
A man with a fat head and big ears, and a fierce expression on his face, was smoking a cigar.
Upon seeing Flynn, he shook violently and the cigar fell to the ground with a thud as he stood up. This man was Micah, the owner of Easy Auctions.
Sitting next to him was an old man in his sixties with long hair and beard that gave him an artistic appearance. He too was startled by the sudden noise and turned around.
“Who do you think you are kicking down our door?” Alfie’s heart nearly exploded from fear as he pointed at Flynn’s nose.
“You bastard! You know you can’t get Mr. Houghton’s signature so you want to use force?”
“Let me tell you something: we brought over ten bodyguards from Eahta, today is your last day!” Alfie walked quickly towards Micah while smiling obsequiously.
“Boss, this is an emergency situation but don’t worry, I’ll send someone over to deal with him!”
“You little punk! Look at what kind of state our boss is in now! Get down on your knees!”
“If it weren’t for our boss today, I would chop you up into pieces!” Alfie shouted angrily until his face turned red.
“You shut up! Who gave you the guts to talk like that to my boss?!” Micah roared before slapping Alfie hard across his face.
Alfie fell straight onto the ground holding his face while looking confused about what had just happened. The old man was also shocked when he saw Micah trembling all over with cold sweat dripping down from him!
“Boss, I’m really sorry about this idiot who doesn’t know any better than offending you like this! Don’t worry. I’ll make sure there will be consequences for it.”
Micah walked towards Flynn while nodding apologetically and bowing lowly. Seeing their usually imposing boss acting so subserviently towards Flynn left Alfie dumbstruck.
Remembering how they had offended Flynn earlier made him feel uneasy instantly. The old man also stared at Flynn in shock wondering how such a young person could make Micah grovel like this.
Flynn waved his hand casually saying, “Alright then, I didn’t come here just to watch people fight.”
He slowly sat down on the sofa crossing one leg over another before asking the old man, “You’re one of those who impersonated me, right?”
“I don’t think Micah has enough courage for that sort of thing so tell me – who instructed you?”
The moment these words were spoken out loud by Flynn, everyone realized immediately who they were dealing with now.
Feeling a sudden rush in his head, the old man fell to the ground and respectfully exclaimed, “Augustine Foster pays homage to the King of the Underworld!”
“This is all part of Imperial Center’s the sixth elder’s plan. They want to use Easy Auctions’ national tour and fake Timothy Houghton to force you out,” Augustine explained.
Flynn immediately understood. Easy Auctions had been touring the country recently, and Imperial Center’s sixth elder had Augustine pose as Timothy Houghton while promoting it.
If he knew about fake Timothy Houghton, he would undoubtedly seek justice and reveal his location.
Once Imperial Center’s sixth elder knew Flynn’s whereabouts, he could send people over to find him.
“Old man Nate Black isn’t finished yet!” Flynn thought angrily. He felt an urge to go straight to Eahta and pull out all of the elder’s beards!
