Once I arrived home I immediately started my search for Bella.
I couldn’t find her anywhere.
“Mary!” I call d out to my personal maid.
“Yes sir?” She answered and walked as fast as she could tell where I was.
I hadn’t mentioned this before but I will do so now.
My wife completely resents Mary.
She feels as if Mary is the one I am married to and not her. Bella would always complain about every little thing that Mary did.
For instance, if Mary as much as place the cutleries on the wrong side of the table, Bella would curse and curse.
However, I would always stand up for Mary whenever bella starts insulting her.
Bella had tried so much to convince to make Mary a dish washer instead of a personal maid.
“You have a wife now and that is me. You don’t need a maid to do all the duties of a wife as well.” She would always say.
Back to business now.
“Where is Bella?” I asked Mary.
“I think she must have gone back to her father’s house sir.” Mary replied.
“Thank you.” I said and stormed out of the mansion.
Bella POV
“Yes dad. He really did all that.” I said.
“This isn’t the Sylvester I know. I never saw a thing like this coming.” Dad said.
“Neither did I dad. I thought he loved me. I thought we were meant for each other.” I said.
“Stop crying dear. Everything will be alright. We will talk to him about this.” Mom said.
“No mom. There is no need to talk to him about anything. He is an evil man. He will never listen.” I said.
“Shh, don’t say that dear. He is still your husband.” Mom said.
“Husband my foot! Is this the way he is supposed to treat a woman?!” Dad said.
“It’s a good thing that the police got there first before I did. Otherwise…” He said.
“Calm down Adams. Don’t take the it into your own hands.” Mom said.
“Have you tried to speak with him? Maybe he was not just in a good mood. It may have been that something you did got him all fired up.” Dad said
“Even though he wasn’t in a good mood, it doesn’t give him the right to lay his hands on her.” Mom said.
“I know but there is always going to be problems that a man can’t really speak out to his wife.” Dad said.
“Mom. Dad. I don’t know if it would be of help but I think it was what I did this morning that offended him.” I said.
“What did you do?” Mom asked.
“Well, he was asleep and speaking. I recorded something he said and I played it in front of him.” Bella said.
“Why the hell would you do a thing like that?” Dad asked.
“I couldn’t help it. It was about you.” I said.
“About me? What did he say about me?” Dad asked.
A knock came to the door and the maid rushed to open it.
She left the way so that the person could enter freely and it was Dave.
“I’ve come here to take my wife with me.” Sylvester said.
“How dare you barge into my house to make such a request?!” Dad said.
“Get out! You are not welcome here!” Dad added.
“Why would you lay hands on Bella? She is your wife for Pete’s sake.” Mom said.
“Lay hands on Bella? Why would I do that?” Sylvester said.
“What did you just say Sylvester?! You are denying it right?” I yelled.
I brought out the my phone and played Sylvester’s recorded voice which was in it.
Dad was shocked to hear it.
“You mean he said that in his sleep?” Dad asked.
“Yes dad.” I replied.
“This wasn’t even his complete words. The exact words he said, before I could record it, I mean, the words that weren’t recorded is (Mother, answer me. It’s your son Dave…)” I quoted.
My dad immediately had look of great shock and surprise on his face.
“D… Dave?…” Dad said reluctantly.
“Wait. Dad. What’s going on here?” I asked, noticing the devastated look on my father’s face.
“Adams, don’t tell me there is something you are hiding from me.” Mom said.
“Oh for Pete’s sake.” Sylvester said and pulled out a gun.
Sylvester POV
“I didn’t expect you all to figure this out so soon.” I said.
“Now I will kill you all, one after the other, till you three are dead.” I added.
“Please Dave. Don’t do this. I’m sorry for what had happened to your mother. I’m really sorry, but please don’t take it out on my family.” Mr Adams said.
“Oh. I shouldn’t take it out on your family huh? What about my family?! My mother was the only one I’ve got! You are responsible for her death!” I shouted.
“Everyone in this mansion get out of your hiding places! Now!” I said.
The workers started coming out one by one and panicking.
“On the floor! All of you!” I yelled and they all lay on the floor.
“Is there anyone else?!” I yelled.
“N… No sir…” One of them answered with a frightened voice.
“You all are going to witness the death of your boss and his family!” I shouted.
“Please Dave, this is between you and I. I’m begging you to leave my wife and child out of this.” Mr Adams said.
“Never! You raped my mother and forced her into committing abortion! She never survived it and now… Now I’m all alone in this world!” I shouted.
“You did what?!” Mrs Adams asked in surprise.
“I can explain please listen to me.” Mr Adams said to his wife.
“What is there to listen to?! So that is what you have been doing behind my back?!” His wife yelled.
“I and your daughter have been missing a husband and a father, only to find out that he had raped a woman in the country he worked?!” She said.
“i’m sorry. Please forgive me.” Mr Adams said.
I pulled the trigger and a bullet was fired to Mr Adams’ right leg.
“Dad!” Bella yelled.
She ran towards her dad who had already fallen on the floor.
“You monster! Why are you torturing us this way?! Why?!” Bella shouted.
“Adams!” His wife shouted as she knelt beside him.
His leg was already loosing a lot of blood.
“Please don’t hurt them. Let everyone else go and deal with me instead.” Mr Adams said.
“Ha ha ha. You know I can’t do that Mr Adams. I will kill your wife and daughter right before your eyes and then I will kill you.” I said.
I aimed the gun at Bella, ready to fire a bullet at her skull.
