“Newcomers always face resistance from their subordinates. If you join the security department, there will be a fight sooner or later,” Rose said coldly.
“I just escalated the conflict to speed things up,” she continued.
“But I was used,” Flynn still felt uneasy.
“You told me to speed up and not waste too much time on this matter, didn’t you?” Rose replied calmly.
“I can only bring everything forward,” Flynn was taken aback. He did mention it before, but he never thought that it would become Rose’s leverage against him.
This woman was definitely not a good person!
Flynn finally witnessed Rose’s domineering and ruthless nature. After ten years of trials and tribulations, she valued this opportunity for Sharp family’s revival very much and would do even more heartless things in the future if necessary. Perhaps she knew that this could be Sharp family’s last chance to rise again. If they failed, they would sink into oblivion forever without any hope of turning things around.
To achieve her goal, Rose chose a “kill anyone who stands in my way” approach.
Flynn left the office building with Rose and followed her to the northwest corner of the factory area where an excavator roared beside an incense table that had already been set up.
“Hmm? Something is wrong!”
As he arrived at an open space, Flynn looked worried after examining his surroundings carefully before muttering, “Last time I passed by here, although there were some ‘old dragons and sick tigers’ around here, overall there was still strong dragon-tiger energy flow in this factory area.”
“It’s just that circulation wasn’t smooth enough which caused some evil energy.”
“Why has all dragon-tiger energy disappeared within less than five days?”
His gaze fell on a green giant stone recently dug out from underground causing his eyebrows furrowed tightly together.
Joshua saw Rose approaching them so he pointed at the green giant stone while explaining with a smile, “The land in the factory area is nourished by mountains behind us. Unfortunately, this huge rock happened to press down on one of the vital energy points leading to obstruction of Geomancy.”
“We dug it out then arranged Nine Stars Eight Palaces formation. Energence Pharmaceuticals will thrive for fifty years!”
After hearing Joshua’s explanation without any doubt or hesitation whatsoever, Rose smiled, “Thank you both for your hard work. I’ll transfer your compensation right away.”
“Hold on!” Flynn stopped her abruptly then turned towards Joshua with disdainful sneer, “Master Delgado, you have been serving Sharp Group as its geomancy master appointed by Sharp family for over ten years…”
“Don’t you think what you’re doing now is too despicable?”
“What do you mean?” Joshua’s face darkened as he asked, “I have a family to support and Ms. Sharp’s fee for my services is already the minimum charge.”
“Why am I being despicable now?”
“And besides, do you have a say in this conversation as a bodyguard?”
Rose frowned and added, “Flynn, Master Delgado used to work for the Sharp’s Group with an annual salary of one million dollars.”
“But now that Energence Pharmaceuticals is just starting out, I don’t have the ability to hire him.”
“So this time we hired him to look at geomancy and Master Delgado asked for a reasonable price which isn’t too much.”
“Moreover, Master Delgado invited Master Knight along because he wants to study the best geomancy plan together.”
“Master Knight only accepted 100, 000 dollars because of his respect for Master Delgado’s reputation.”
“You’re being too harsh by calling Master Delgado despicable!” Rose had contacted Joshua yesterday and he had agreed immediately.
This morning she received another call from him saying that he would bring Zakariya over to discuss their plans together.
Rose was very touched by how much Joshua valued her.
“I’m being too harsh?” Flynn narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked coldly at Rose before asking back, “You’ve been supporting Joshua with so much money for more than ten years. If he doesn’t help you then it’s fine but if he turns around and joins the Swanson’s Group instead, then it will harm you instead.”
“Are you saying I’m being too harsh?” As soon as these words were spoken, everyone was stunned. Even the workers who were filling soil stopped working.
Zakariya showed a rare hint of coldness on his face.
“Nonsense!” Joshua shouted angrily, “Young man, I spoke ill about you in front of Ms. Sharp earlier but there was no need for you to retaliate like this!”
“I only said a few words more about my concern towards Energence Pharmaceuticals. There is no personal grudge between us! Don’t stir up trouble or make malicious accusations!”
A shadow of doubt flashed across Rose’s face.
“What great concern towards Energence Pharmaceuticals!” Flynn sneered, “You’re trying to provoke me against Ms. Sharp; all under Braiden’s orders right? You really are such loyal dog!”
“As an insider who can manipulate Rose’s trust into deceiving her; but not me!”
After hearing these words from Flynn, many employees from Energence Pharmaceuticals began whispering amongst themselves quietly.
“This guy must be crazy. Master Delgado has been serving the Sharp’s Group for over a decade, how could he possibly switch to the Swanson’s Group?”
“He must hold a grudge against Master Delgado for reporting him, so he’s trying to shift the blame onto someone else!”
“This guy is too petty and has a dark mind. Ms. Sharp should be careful around him!”
Rose furrowed her eyebrows and spoke coldly, “Flynn, even though Master Delgado is one of our own and I can forgive your offense towards him,”
“But Master Knight is our guest, so you better explain this matter clearly!”
Flynn sneered and pointed at the giant green stone, “This stone is called Dragon Devouring Stone. It lies on the earth vein that extends from behind the mountain to the factory area.”
“The prosperity of the factory area depends entirely on this stone’s guidance of energy flow. If they dig up this stone, they want to cut off their supply from behind the mountain!”
“However, I suspect that things are not as simple as they seem. They are working for Swanson’s Group now and after cutting off their supply line by digging up earth veins, they will use all kinds of vicious means to turn the factory into a dead zone!”
Although energy flow in Earth Veins behind mountains was gradually declining day by day but setting up Nine Dragons Formation could still enhance it enough for decades.
Now it had completely disappeared without any trace of dragon or tiger spirits left; if there were no manipulations involved, then what else could have caused it?
Joshua turned pale with fear as he glanced at Flynn out of his peripheral vision while slightly furrowing his brows.
“Nonsense! All gibberish!” Zakariya said coldly with an icy expression on his face.
“Ms. Sharp, I came here because I respect Master Delgado but if you treat me like this…”
“In that case, I’m sorry but I’ll take my leave.”
Joshua also spoke with an air of coldness, “If he knows so much about geomancy, then let this young man help you look into it instead. Goodbye.”
Rose raised her hand calmly and said indifferently, “Before everything gets explained clearly, please don’t leave yet.”
“If Flynn misunderstood anything, I will give you both an explanation. If what he says turns out to be true, don’t blame me for not cherishing old friendships anymore!”
She knew that Flynn was not someone who joked around easily. If there were suspicions about something, then there must be some basis!
As soon as she finished speaking, a few employees rushed over and stopped Joshua and Zakariya.
“Flynn, you may continue,” Rose said sternly.
Flynn turned around and asked the workers, “After digging up the giant rock, did they bury anything inside?”
The workers were stunned before nodding their heads in unison.
“Dig it out!” Flynn commanded, and the workers jumped into the excavator. In no time, they had unearthed a small jar.
Bang!
Flynn smashed it with a shovel, and a pungent odor wafted through the air. The crowd covered their noses and took a few steps back.
“Cat’s blood is an extremely negative substance, Master Delgado. You two explain why something like this was buried here.”
