Chapter thirty three

Book:Revenge of the Son In Law Published:2024-5-1

Dave POV
I covered up my mother’s dead body right in front of the house that Mr Adams gifted us.
In the same dirty clothes and feet without taking a bath, I went straight to Mr Adams’ company.
I entered the company and all eyes were on me. I couldn’t care less of what they said or thought. I came with an aim and that aim I must accomplish.
“Come out of your office you bastard!” I yelled.
“Dave what are you doing?” Asked Mr Charles.
“You are not innocent of this treacherous act either. You and Mr Adams have to answer to me now.” I said.
“Dave are you crazy? What are you talking about?” Mr Charles asked.
“I am talking about what you and Mr Adams have been doing behind my back.” U replied.
“What? What did we do behind your back?” Mr Charles asked.
“You fool! How dare you act so innocent. Just because you didn’t do anything to my mother doesn’t make you free. But knowing all that has been happening and being quiet about it makes you guilty as well.” Dave said.
Mr Charles slaps Dave across the face.
“How dare you speak about me and your boss in that manner?!” Mr Charles said.
Authoress POV
The whole company was filled with murmurs of different kinds. All the other employees were staring at Mr Charles and Dave.
Mr Adams comes out of his office and Dave charges towards him. Dave holds Mr Adams by the neck.
“How could you do this to my mother?! Are you that much of a monster?!” Dave asked in fury.
“Get your filthy hands off me Dave! I have no idea what you and your mother have planned against me. First it was your mother who cane here early this morning claiming that I had raped her and she is pregnant. And now it’s you the son that has come after me. Has what I’ve been doing for your family not been enough for you two?!” Mr Adams yelled.
“You filthy animal! My mother is dead! You here me?! She is dead! Why did you have to send Mr Charles over to our house with money to give my mother for abortion?! She died during the abortion!” Dave said and everywhere went silent.
“Enough!” Mr Adams said and pushed Dave away from himself.
“Get out of my company! And as a matter of fact, because of what you did here today, just forget about that house I gave to you and your mother. I am taking it back and you might as well find somewhere else to stay.” Mr Adams said.
Dave looked deeply into Mr Adams’ eyes and made a vow in front of him and everyone else present there.
“You will be happy now but just wait till that day comes when I will get my revenge. I will take every last penny you have and I will leave you with nothing to talk about.” Dave said. Mr Adams looked at Dave and laughed at his words.
“Do your worst!” Mr Adams said and Dave leaves.
Adams POV
“I can’t believe that stupid boy. Coming in here and making accusations. How dare him!” I yelled.
“Sir, do you think what he said about his mother being dead is true?” Charles asked.
“Nonsense! How could that be true? And even if it’s true I couldn’t care less about it.” I replied.
“But sir, what if Dave really comes back for revenge in the future?” Charles asked.
“Those are just empty threats. There is nothing he can do that will keep him in a position of being able to take everything from me. He is just poor and without connection.” I replied.
“I still feel like everything might not end well for us.” Charles said.
“That’s enough! Get that dumb thought out of your head.” I said.
“I stood there before my mother’s grave staring. I promise you mother, I will make them pay.” I said.
I turned and looked at the so called gift Mr Adams gave to I and my mother when she was still alive.
I’ll be back.
I opened the gate and walked away. I took nothing from the house, not even the money I called salary and neither did I take those things that were mine from the beginning and no food either.
For me, all those things have now being contaminated by that house.
I left, walking without a destination. All I can do is go wherever my feet takes me.
I’ve decided to live in the streets. Even though I don’t have anything to do right now… I have that feeling that something great is going to happen to me.
Authoress POV
Dave wonders about in the streets each day, looking for food to eat but found none. Each night that passed, Dave had to endure a lot of cold. Sometimes he sleeps under bridges and sometimes he stays in the open, open to danger. Dave really needs food but what will he do now? Nobody would want to employ a homeless person.
Dave POV
It’s been weeks now and I am dead hungry. I just don’t know what to do for food anymore.
Just then, I saw a boy that looked my age, passing by a shop that kept some of their goods for sale outside. I watched the suspicious movement of the boy thoroughly.
The boy walked passed the shop without doing anything but I felt like following this particular boy. I followed the boy from behind and the boy cornered to a the side of a building. I traced the boy properly and watched the boy sit down on the bare floor. The boy dipped his hand in his pocket and brought out a loaf of bread.
“What?! That’s impossible!” I yelled.
The boy turned and saw me.
“Hey you! What are do you think you are doing spying on me?!” The boy said.
“Teach me how.” I said.
“What?” The boy asked.
“I’ve been in the streets starving and begging for food for weeks now. Please teach me how to… ” I said.
