Early the next morning, Mr Adams himself picks up Dave from his home. Anna is very worried at what might happen to her son while he is in the arms of Mr Adams. She wishes she could tell her son to quit the job but all that she could think of is what she should tell Dave is the reason he should quit.
Anna was chocking up inside. She knows very well that she could stop her son but she is still caged in her guilt.
Mr Adams, on the other hand, has planned how the whole day would go and is sure that Anna would come to him without much talk.
As usual, Dave still stays in the dark. He is not aware of anything that is happening between his boss and his mother.
Let’s watch what happens next, what really does Mr Adams have in mind?
Dave POV
I and Mr Adams enter the company. I seat at my desk and he goes into his office.
Not long after he enters his office he calls me.
“Dave!” Mr Adams called.
“Yes sir? I’m right here.” I replied as I walked into his office.
“Take this to Mr Charles and ask him to fill in the necessary details.
“Okay sir.” I said and left to do as he said.
I gave Mr Charles the papers and went back to my seat.
Just as I was about to seat down Mr Adams calls me again.
“Dave!” I went in and he sends me to table HY3 with some documents.
I delivered the documents and on my way back to my desk guess what? Yes. Mr Adams calls me again.
This goes on till three ‘o’clock. I barely sat down during this whole walking back and forth.
“Dave!” Mr Adams called, again.
“Sir?” I answered and went into his office.
“I need a cup of coffee with extra cream.” He said.
“Okay sir. Coming right up.” I said.
“I want it from outside. And also buy it with your own money.” He said.
I didn’t quarrel with him. What’s my little money compared with what he did for I and my mother? I might not even need it anyways. Mr Charles will definitely take me home.
I got the coffee and gave it to him in his office.
Mr Adams keeps sending me here and there till it’s closing time.
Everybody leaves, including Mr Adams. I couldn’t find Mr Charles anywhere and I tried calling him but his phone was switched off.
I was stranded in front of the company and nobody was here to help me get home.
I started to walk back home alone. I was already so tired from today’s work and now walking home is just going to add up to my tiredness.
I don’t think I’m going to make it to work tomorrow.
After one long hour of walking I finally reached my destination.
I went straight to the front door and opened it. The last thing I could remember was the image of my mother rushing towards me.
Anna’s POV
“To hell with your invitation!” I yelled into the phone.
“I’ve already sent you the address of where we can meet. Goodbye.” Mr Adams said and cut the call.
Who does he think he is? He wants me to meet him in a bar by this time? Hell no!
I turned and looked at the clock. It’s three minutes to eight and Dave isn’t back yet. What could be keeping him so long? I hope nothing bad has happened to him.
I kept walking back and forth till I finally heard the front door open and Dave coming in.
Dave fainted and I rushed towards him. I lay him on his bed and took care of him. When he finally opened his eyes he hugged me.
“Son what happened to you? You just suddenly fainted.” I asked.
“I had a lot of work today mother. I didn’t even have a chance to rest. Mr Adams just keeps sending me at every passing minute.” Dave explained.
“He really did that to you?” I asked.
“Yes mother. At the end of it all I couldn’t find Mr Charles and his number was switched off. I had no choice but to walk back home.” He said.
“But you always take money with you for a cab just in case of any problem. So what happened now?” I asked.
“Mr Adams made me buy him a coffee with it till I was all out.” Dave replied.
I have to do something about this man. I can’t take it anymore. I guess I’ll have to meet him at the address he sent to me. I’m going to give that man a piece of my mind.
So much for having his number blocked. He just had to make use of a different phone.
I waited for Dave to sleep then I went straight to the bar Adams gave me an address of.
Adams POV
I stayed in the bar drinking and drinking. It seemed as if Anna wouldn’t come at all.
I planned it well. I was so sure she would come here so what didn’t I get right?
I called Mr Charles and gave him my location so he can come and pic me up. I know very well that I am too drunk to drive right now so it’s too risky.
I came out of the bar then I saw something blurry coming towards me. I couldn’t quite get what it was but as the blur came closer I recognized it to be Anna.
“I thought you would never come.” I said when I thought she was close enough to hear me.
Anna Drew me to a dark spot and she started yelling at me.
I couldn’t really understand any of these things she was saying so I just looked at her in confusion and staggering. She wanted to leave but then I dragged her back and pressed her boobs.
As I expected she tried to slap me but I grabbed that second hand of hers and pinned her to the wall.
She looked like she was shouting for help but I didn’t care. I had her the way I’ve always wanted but with force.
When I was done with my business I let go of her hands and she fell to the floor.
“You monster!” She said.
That was actually the only thing I was able to hear clearly this whole time.
