“By the way, all that commotion must have scared Miss Pearce who just recovered from her illness.”
“Mr. Johnston is from Dragon Gate Group, and Miss Richardson will surely give him face and hold him accountable!”
“That’s the importance of power. We common folks can’t afford to offend them! This guy has offended so many people today, he’s as good as dead! He deserves it for being so reckless and picking fights with anyone! ”
As they spoke, everyone shook their heads in agreement that Flynn had no chance of survival.
Luca nodded and chuckled, “Yes, this guy has some serious issues.”
“But don’t worry Miss Richardson and Miss Pearce. Everything is under control,” he added.
“I’ll take care of him outside then come back up to toast with Miss Pearce once I’m done,” Luca said confidently.
Callie looked towards a familiar figure in the distance with a deep frown on her face.
Katrina nodded in agreement saying, “Callie just recovered from an illness; she shouldn’t see any bloodshed. Take him away from here before anything else happens.”
“He scared Callie earlier; I won’t bother him anymore but you can teach him a lesson by giving him a few more slaps!”
“Callie let Mr. Johnston handle this matter; you’re healthy now there’s no need to get angry.”
Katrina reluctantly followed him, and as they approached Flynn, they were both stunned. The troublemaker was him!!!
“This guy is really bad news. Mr. Johnston is not easy to talk to, but Miss Pearce is known for her kindness. Get up and beg Miss Pearce for mercy; she might even plead on your behalf!”
“Who do you think you are? You don’t even stand up when the mayor’s daughter approaches you! Have you no respect?”
“Damn it! Look at his face – he doesn’t care at all! He probably thinks Mr. Johnston is just bluffing and won’t actually lay a hand on him! How immature! I want to go over there and punch him in the face!”
The surrounding diners were very unhappy with Flynn’s behavior and began criticizing him.
Justice saw that Flynn was ignoring everyone around him with a calm expression on his face, so he immediately scolded, “What’s wrong with your head?! Miss Richardson and Miss Pearce have already arrived; why haven’t you apologized yet?”
He then reached out to pull Flynn up.
“Mr. Clark, it really is you!”
Callie exclaimed in surprise, causing Justice’s hand to freeze in midair as his mind raced.
Flynn nodded indifferently, “Miss Pearce.”
Katrina also turned pale as she recalled what had just happened, “Mr…. Mr. Clark? What are you doing here? Callie was just talking about you!”
Mr. Clark?!
“Do they know each other?” The diners were stunned, clearly taken aback by the scene and unable to speak.
Flynn was puzzled and asked, “If you can come here to eat, why can’t I?”
Katrina was choked up and couldn’t say a word, so she just smiled awkwardly.
Luca was very surprised and frowned as he asked, “Do you two ladies know him?”
Callie’s face darkened as she coldly said, “Mr. Clark cured my illness. He is the benefactor of the Pearce family.”
“Mr. Johnston, I hope you can explain this matter well. Otherwise, I don’t mind having my father go to the Hussain family for some clarity!”
She knew Flynn’s character well – someone who wouldn’t even care about a hundred million dollars in benefits would never sign a contract only to back out later.
There must be something wrong!
Boom!
This sentence was like thunder from a clear sky that silenced everyone present.
Scarlet heard this and looked at Flynn in shock beyond words.
It turned out that it wasn’t Eahta’s people who cured Callie but Flynn!
She felt like she had seen her savior and quickly explained the situation for Flynn.
“Miss Pearce, it’s like this…” she gave a brief introduction and Callie and Katrina’s faces both fell.
Callie looked at Justice coldly and then turned to Flynn. “Mr. Clark, what do you plan to do?”
Flynn pointed to the mixed rice on the table calmly. “We’ll finish eating this mixed rice, not leaving a single grain of rice behind, and then return my money.”
“Mr. Johnston, isn’t Mr. Clark’s request unreasonable?” Callie asked with a stern face.
Luca was stunned after hearing that; his anger almost set his hair on fire as he gritted his teeth and said, “Miss Pearce, Flynn almost killed my brother! Do you think he is being unreasonable?”
After saying that, he glared fiercely at Flynn with endless rage in his eyes.
Luca didn’t expect Flynn to know both the Richardson family and the Pearce’ family; it was clear how frustrated he felt inside.
Katrina said lightly, “I don’t know about your brother’s situation but what Justice did here is indeed wrong.”
Luca’s mouth twitched fiercely as he was left speechless by her response. He gritted his teeth and said, “Fine! Let’s do it according to Miss Pearce’s wishes!”
“I have some business matters to attend to now so I won’t disturb you any further!” After saying that, Luca turned towards Flynn while holding back his anger, “Clark, you’re impressive!”
“But let me remind you – be careful when walking in the future because if anything happens like getting hit by a car or getting shot from an ambush – it won’t be good for anyone.”
Flynn remained silent, his eyes still stormy, and a sense of impending danger brewing within him. He had murder in his thoughts.
Luca turned and left, and as for Justice, Flynn didn’t want to bother with him anymore.
Justice exclaimed, “Miss Richardson, I can transfer the factory and equipment to him for 17 million. But I can’t eat this meal.”
Katrina gazed at Justice and sneered, “Mr. Roy, what you’re doing is fraud and robbery. You’ll get at least a five-year sentence for that. Do you think it’s better to eat this meal or spend a few years in jail?”
Justice trembled and, looking at the fried rice, which now included chicken bones and urine, nearly vomited again. With a grimace, he said, “Okay! I’ll eat it!”
He reluctantly signed the equity contract and transferred the 6 million back to Flynn’s account. Holding his nose, he moved to the side to consume the foul-smelling meal.
Around them, the other diners, witnessing the scene, left the restaurant in disgust, losing their appetite.
Callie smiled at Flynn and suggested, “Mr. Clark, this meal seems beyond salvage. How about joining us upstairs?”
“I have something to attend to, so I won’t go,” Flynn replied.
Though he was a bit hungry, he was deeply concerned about Rose’s well-being.
A hint of disappointment crossed Callie’s face as she continued to probe, “Are you sure? It would be nice to have some company.”
“My Grandpa celebrated my recovery by booking the Fish Dragon Villa. Would you do me the honor of attending in two days?”
Flynn had no objections to Callie’s request and nodded, “Yeah, I’ll go.”
As he got up to leave, Katrina quickly grabbed Callie and gave her a pleading look before lowering her head in embarrassment.
Callie realized what was happening and spoke up again, “Mr. Clark, Katrina has one more request. Would you be willing to consider it?”
