“Jennifer?” Flynn paused.
Orion also froze when he heard the name and whispered, “Boss, do you know her?”
Flynn nodded slightly and said calmly, “She was my high school classmate.”
How could he not know her? He had confessed his feelings to her in high school and was rejected. She even told his embarrassing story to her boyfriend as a joke. Just yesterday, he received more than a dozen colorful photos from her.
Jennifer’s face turned red as she lowered her head deeply. She used to be so proud and aloof. She was the class beauty in high school with countless suitors in college but never paid attention to someone like Flynn. Even his confession was an insult to herself.
But what happened two days ago shattered Jennifer’s worldview completely. The former classmate who wasn’t worthy of her attention became a guest of the Pearce family!
She regretted it deeply – regretted it so much that she felt sick inside. She tried seducing him for a photo shoot but ended up getting blocked by Flynn instead.
Shame.
Feeling utterly embarrassed.
Jasper told her that she and Denis had crossed Flynn, and they would never find work again, not even as street sweepers.
Jennifer had no choice but to take a gray job at the Club Apex.
Once proud, she was now a hostess at the club.
And that poor boy who she had never paid attention to for over a decade became the Pearce’s honored guest.
With just a nod from Flynn, she would obediently remove her clothes and climb onto him willingly.
The contrast between then and now made Jennifer feel ashamed of herself.
Orion noticed something unusual about Flynn and laughed out loud, “Isn’t this convenient? Why don’t you let her stay here with you to catch up?”
Flynn remained expressionless and indifferent, “I have no interest in her. Let her leave.”
Upon hearing this, Jennifer’s face turned red instantly; she wished she could disappear into thin air.
Humiliating someone was not teasing them; it was ignoring them…
Orion furrowed his eyebrows slightly and waved his hand towards Jennifer, “You can leave now.”
Jennifer felt like she was granted clemency as she fled the scene.
Why? Why did this poor man become an honored guest among the powerful?
“Why did I have to see him here and be humiliated like this? I refuse to accept it, I won’t stand for it! Flynn, you wait! I’ll get my revenge and take back my dignity. Wait and see!”
“Boss, should we keep them all?” Orion grinned.
Flynn pointed at the Achela women and said, “They can do the massages if they know how. Just these two will do.”
“We know how to do everything – massage, music, whatever you want,” one of the women said with a smile.
“No need for that,” Flynn replied calmly. He didn’t want his first time with a prostitute to be too complicated; a simple massage would suffice.
Orion nodded in understanding and said with a chuckle, “I get it – just a massage.”
“What are you itching for?” Flynn frowned.
“I’m outta here! Right now!” Orion quickly left the room.
Flynn took off his shirt and went into the spa room. As soon as he lay down on the table, the Achela women walked in holding a bottle of essential oil.
They had a curvy, yet statuesque figure with fair skin. Their deep blue eyes sparkled with exotic allure, and their golden hair cascaded down in waves, resting delicately on their collarbone and accentuating their pristine neck. Their legs were straight and their wore a chest harness that connected two small pieces of cloth together with thin straps that fastened at the back in a butterfly clasp.
As they leaned forward, the view became even more breathtaking…
An hour later, after the two women had left, Orion walked in.
Flynn was already dressed and sitting on the couch.
Those two women knew how to tease him; he had been tempted over ten times to make a move but restrained himself. The first time was important – for women as well as men.
“The Kaur family wants a project from Rhinowares Group. Can you give them a heads up?” Flynn said nonchalantly before adding, “Also, help me order nine dragon columns made of marble material that are five meters high and half-meter diameter. Don’t have any eyes on top of them.”
Orion looked puzzled, “There’s no problem with Rhinowares’s side but why do you want to order dragon columns?”
“I want to acquire Davies’ Pharmaceuticals under Kevin’s name and hand it over to Rose to help revive Sharp family,” Flynn replied calmly.
“The Davies went bankrupt due not only to their own incompetence but also because there were major geomancy issues within their company…”
After meeting with Flynn, Orion knew he couldn’t help but get involved in helping Rose. He eagerly asked, “Boss, after Rose takes control of Davies’ Pharmaceuticals, can Edwin and I invest in it too?”
For Orion, this was a huge opportunity. The King of the Underworld was not only invincible in martial arts but also had unparalleled medical skills. With just one prescription, he could make a pharmaceutical company earn a fortune.
Orion didn’t want to miss out on such a good money-making opportunity.
Flynn thought for a moment and nodded his head in agreement. “Sure thing. Investing some money into it wouldn’t hurt.”
Niarak was the pharmaceutical capital of Ostrad and had one-third of all national pharmaceutical companies located there. The Woods, Swanson and Dragon Gate Group were doing everything they could to acquire Sharp family enterprises so that they could monopolize the Ostrad pharmaceutical industry even further.
They didn’t want any dissidents to appear – especially not Rose.
Inevitably there would be financial battles between both sides in the future; having Orion and Edwin on her side would be an assurance for Rose’s safety.
Of course, relying solely on them wouldn’t cause much trouble; ultimately Flynn would have to step up as well.
“I’ll see you off!” Orion exclaimed happily as he rose from his seat to bid farewell.
Oh Rose!
You’re so lucky!
The Swanson family, the Woods family, and Dragon Gate – you newcomers have no idea what kind of terrifying existence you’ll be facing! In times of chaos, heroes and failures are born in equal measure.
“No need to see me off, hurry up and contact dragon pillar’s manufacturer. It must be done within ten days!” Flynn said.
“Alright! I’ll do it right away!” Orion watched as Flynn left before sitting back on the couch to make a call.
“Niarak is too small for this business battle. Orion alone won’t be enough to win it. Should I get someone from Demon Island to help?” Flynn pondered as he walked out of the private room.
“What are you doing here?” Kimber stood in surprise not far away with waves rippling in her eyes.
Layla stopped walking with her glass of red wine and also looked shocked.
