“What?” The chaotic scene suddenly disappeared, and everyone froze. Matteo and his wife looked at Flynn in shock, wondering what he was up to.
“You want to buy all of our contracts from our relatives? 20 million dollars? You’re a stinking ex-convict who couldn’t make that much money in a hundred lifetimes even if you didn’t eat or drink in prison!” someone exclaimed.
“You’ve never worked a day in your life, just living off the Kaur family’s wealth. And now you want to buy our contracts? Do you even know your own worth?” another person added.
“You say whatever comes to mind. Even if we gave you a ten percent discount, you still wouldn’t be able to afford it with all the money in the world,” yet another person chimed in.
Flynn remained calm and said, “No need for any discounts. I’ll buy them at full price so that there won’t be any excuses later on.”
This statement once again stunned everyone present. The contracts they held were like hot potatoes; 20 million dollars had become worthless land overnight. If anyone was willing to buy them, they would sell them even at half price!
This guy actually wanted to buy everything at full price?
Charlotte sneered and said, “The crowd is angry right now; don’t try anything funny.”
“If you cheat us into giving up our contracts only to tear them up later or refuse payment, we will definitely break your legs!” someone threatened.
Flynn smiled and replied calmly, “Ponocord Bay will become more valuable with time; why would I tear up these contracts?”
“Do you think everyone talks like you, spewing nonsense?”
Charlotte’s face turned red as she retorted, “I’m just being stubborn. What can you do about it?”
“You can only satisfy your own ego by talking back to me. Other than that, you have no power over me.”
“It’s actually the opposite for you. If you dare to tear up the contract, it won’t be as simple as kneeling down and getting slapped!”
Madeline also frowned and spoke seriously, “Flynn, I’ll take responsibility for my mistakes. You don’t have to do something stupid for my sake.”
“Debts must be repaid; that’s only fair. Even if you try to cheat them out of their money, I will still pay them back.”
Matteo also advised, “Flynn, I know that you want to help Madeline out of this situation but we cannot go against our conscience!”
“All this money is earned through hard work by our relatives; if we break the contract and cheat them out of their money they may even jump off a building!”
Flynn sighed helplessly and said to Matteo, “Mr Kaur, I heard from another source that Ponocord Bay will be developed extensively.”
“If we hold onto that land, we could earn ten times more than 20 million dollars in profit!”
“Although I don’t care much about the money myself, not taking advantage of such an opportunity would be foolish!”
“Why would anyone tear up a contract when developing Ponocord Bay has been specially approved by the state government? The documents haven’t even been released yet because it’s confidential information.”
“The mayor has already told me, which is risky for him.”
He can’t explain it too clearly.
Paulina said through gritted teeth. “You’re not done yet, are you? Not only do you love to show off, but you also like to talk nonsense!”
“We were discussing important matters, and now you’ve become the center of attention!”
“One moment it’s a full acquisition, and the next Ponocord Bay is going to be developed. You’re just a clown trying to please the crowd!”
“Shut up right now or I’ll sew your mouth shut!” Even their relatives were disgusted.
“You believe in hearsay news? What an idiot!”
“Clark, stop bothering us here. The company is in danger of collapsing at any time with the Kaur family. Are we stupid enough to entrust our future with someone like you?”
“You spread false information and disrupt our decision-making process. You deserve punishment!”
Madeline watched this scene with a sour nose.
Flynn didn’t want her to get scolded so he used some nonsense talk to divert everyone’s anger towards himself.
Did he really like her?
This wasn’t good…
Madeline pursed her lips and said, “Flynn, don’t make trouble here. This matter…”
“Don’t argue! Listen to me from now on!” Flynn waved his hand and said to Frank, “I have no problem buying it with money, but there’s a condition. Madeline must continue to be the CEO.”
“And she’ll receive a salary of two million dollars, and her family will receive ten percent of the year-end profits!” he added.
The Kaur family relatives were all angry when they heard this.
“He’s just playing with us again! First Ponocord Bay development, now making Madeline CEO. I can see through this guy!” one relative exclaimed.
“Exactly! How can an ex-convict buy a contract at its original price? What a joke!” another chimed in.
The Kaur family relatives clearly didn’t believe Flynn’s words and scoffed at him.
“If you can buy the contract at its original price, I’ll agree to these conditions,” Frank said dismissively.
Regardless of whether Flynn was telling the truth or not, the Kaur family had no other options left. They held onto some hope that things would work out in their favor somehow.
Charlotte didn’t object either. She convinced Frank to let her become CEO so she could profit from Davies’ Pharmaceuticals going public. The current situation for the Kaur family was a mess – whoever wanted to sit on that CEO position could have it!
“I’ve given you all countless opportunities and you’ve ignored them all!” Flynn exclaimed impatiently. “So bring out that contract and let me transfer funds for purchase!”
Flynn took out his bank card and placed it coldly on the table as he stared down everyone in attendance.
“Kid, watch closely! I’ve got a knife on me!”
“Don’t try to pull any tricks with me!”
A relative shook a fruit knife in their hand and approached with the contract, speaking menacingly.
Charlotte looked smugly at Flynn and sneered, “You’re just a poser. Let’s see how you handle this later.”
Paulina sighed repeatedly to Matteo and said, “See that? That’s the son-in-law you picked. He has to stick his nose into everything and make things more complicated than they need to be.”
“Our family has been having bad luck lately. I bet it’s because of him!”
“Madeline will be the death of him sooner or later!”
Matteo rubbed his forehead and sighed deeply. Ever since Flynn was released from prison, there had been more disputes within the Kaur family. But he couldn’t really blame Flynn; he was just trying to help solve problems for the Kaur family but lacked the ability.
“You have received a transfer of 472, 000 dollars,” sounded an alert from their phone.
The relative opened their phone and exclaimed in shock.
“Oh my god! It’s really in the account!” He quickly signed his name on the transfer contract. Everyone was stunned. Over four hundred thousand dollars? Flynn said he had it, but wasn’t he just released from prison? Where did he get so much money?
Charlotte’s lips twitched before she sneered, “Only four hundred thousand? He must not have any more than that.”
“There’s no way he could come up with 20 million to buy out all of our contracts,” she added confidently.
