Chapter 70 Ponocord Bay

Book:A King Reborn in Shadows Published:2024-6-4

“When the Davies family bought Ponocord Bay, they only spent 3 million dollar.”
“The state’s plan estimates that the land is worth at least 300 million. The Kaur family made a huge profit!”
Mayor Travis spoke while thinking.
Ponocord Bay covered over 1, 500 acres and was barren land in Niarak.
It was once a gathering place for ancient bandits, with weeds covering the mountains and rare human activity.
There was a thousand-year-old temple there, which the city planed to renovate and reopen.
Using the temple as a selling point, they planed to expand wetland parks and cultural tourism areas around it, gaining support from the state.
The Davies family owned the mountain next to Ponocord Bay which will definitely became prime real estate for development in the future, increasing its value by several tens of times.
The state was currently studying it closely. They believed that within a month or so, documents regarding Ponocord Bay’s development will be released.
The Kaur family had been lucky after all!
Flynn nodded his head in agreement.
The Davies father and son went to Astia to gamble but lost 2 million dollar causing their financial chain to break down.
Their new product was rushed onto market before undergoing its third round of testing resulting in five patients experiencing serious side effects; however, The Davies family paid heavily for it not go public yet.
However, since its release on market over one month ago with sales reaching up 100k pills across seven states in southern part alone; if any problems were announced now thenthe Davies father-son duo would definitely face imprisonment while their company name would plummet into infamy.
The Davies family decided to take the money and run before the product completely bombed.
If they had just weathered the storm and sincerely apologized, they could have made billions off of Ponocord Bay even if the pharmaceutical company went under.
Unfortunately, greed got the best of them and they missed out on an opportunity to make easy money.
After leaving the Pearce family, Flynn couldn’t help but feel nostalgic.
Who would have thought that there would be such a massive development in Ponocord Bay, turning it from barren land into a sprawling tourist destination?
It was funny how fortunes can change – even the Kaur family benefited from this misfortune.
“Grandpa, where’s Mr. Clark?” Callie emerged from upstairs wearing a cute cartoon t-shirt and white capris pants.
She stood tall with an elegant posture and her clear eyes sparkled like stars, exuding gracefulness and charm.
Elis was impressed by Flynn’s medical skills now that his granddaughter was able to come downstairs on her own.
“Mr. Clark comes and goes as he pleases; we can’t keep him here,” Elis chuckled when Callie looked disappointed after hearing that he had already left.
“I wanted to thank him personally for everything,” Callie blushed slightly with disappointment written all over her face.
“Grandpa promised you that we’ll rent out the Fish Dragon Villa in a couple of days and invite Mr. Clark over. Would you like to thank him personally then?”
Callie nodded and went upstairs.
Jasper smirked and said to Brandon, “Big bro, I think Callie has a thing for Mr. Clark!”
“But unfortunately, Mr. Clark is married. Otherwise, they would make a great match!”
Brandon nodded and said, “Callie suffered from illness for five years and wanted to escape her pain every day until Mr. Clark came along like an angel from heaven who cured her in no time.”
“Plus he looks good with his natural arrogance; it’s reasonable that Callie likes him.”
“As long as Callie wants to marry him, getting divorced after marriage isn’t difficult at all!” Elis agreed with what Brandon had said.
Travis felt uncomfortable after hearing their conversation; he was lost in thought about what this meant for both families’ plans of becoming relatives by marriage.
He awkwardly smiled while saying some kind words before leaving them alone together.
After Father-Daughter duo left the Pearce family’s Mansion premises, Travis sighed deeply, “Katrina, Flynn saved not only Callie but also our family! We should befriend such people.”
“The Pearce family too! We almost cost Callie her life by interfering in their business without any prior knowledge or permission; your Grandpa must be furious.”
“We should apologize by inviting him over for dinner when we get the chance.”
Katrina nodded absentmindedly. Her mind was still buzzing, unable to believe things had turned out this way.
Flynn was Roman’s mentor?!
A convict who hadn’t even reached thirty and had just been released from prison was the master of Roman?
The disparity in their status overturned Katrina’s worldview, leaving her in shock.
“This kind of person is like a divine dragon in the sky. If I can get his guidance, my medical skills will definitely have a qualitative breakthrough.”
“In terms of family background and appearance, I’m no worse than Callie. If she wants to marry Flynn, then I must also perform well!”
She couldn’t help but straighten her body, revealing her curvy figure.
Flynn drove towards Radwich Mountain Villa when he received a message from Scarlet halfway there.
“Brother-in-law, what are you doing? Have you eaten yet? Do you want to go to the bar?”
Flynn didn’t reply and was about to turn off his phone when he received a friend verification message from an old high school groupchat.
This group was very ancient; it had been formed during their graduation year from high school and Flynn had never sent any messages in it before.
The friend’s name was “dreamlove”.
Flynn opened her social media account and discovered that he hadn’t been granted access to the profile. Curiosity piqued, he decided to accept the friend request. Almost immediately after accepting, he received a message from the other person.
“Flynn, it’s Jennifer. I’ve broken up with Denis. Would you like to grab a meal together?”
A flicker of disgust flashed in Flynn’s eyes, and he was about to block her when several photos arrived from her side.
Glancing at them, his nose almost started bleeding.
In the photos, Jennifer was wearing various colored swimsuits, her legs long and slender at 1. 3 meters, her skin as fair and milky as if it were coated in milk. Her bra and panties were small, connected by a few strings and covering only the essential areas, with her ample and fair bosom partially exposed, revealing a deep and alluring cleavage.
She looked like a ripe peach, exuding a bewitching and captivating allure.
Some of the photos were quite explicit, showing her performing various challenging yoga poses, with her intimate areas teasingly concealed…
