If this got out to the wrong people, not only will the Johnston family be finished, but the Kaur family as well! That fight was a curse. If they knew what happened, they would have to live in fear for the rest of their lives.
Luca regretted being there at that moment and even more so for telling anyone about it.
“The master? Just an ant! I will avenge my mother and see who dares to stop me!” Flynn’s eyes were filled with murderous intent as he kicked Caleb in front of Luca.
“How arrogant!” Luca’s eyes were also filled with killing intent as he shouted coldly, “Now that you know this secret, you can’t leave alive!”
Luca had only intended to teach Flynn a lesson before Caleb told him about the big battle. But now all that mattered was keeping this secret safe by killing Flynn!
“Let’s attack together and kill him!”
Luca waved his hand and his bodyguards rushed forward.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!”
Flynn moved like a phantom in mid-air, striking every punch with precision. In less than a minute, there were groaning bodies littered from the doorway to the courtyard.
Luca was dumbfounded as Flynn grabbed him by the neck, his eyes filled with a murderous rage.
“Since you don’t value your life, I’ll send you on your way!” Flynn sneered.
Like an ant, Luca was nothing to him. One punch and he could be turned into a bloody mist!
“Stop!” A sharp voice cut through the tension.
A powerful aura swept in as Layla arrived on scene.
“Dr. Woods!” Luca’s men were taken aback at the sight of her.
Layla appeared shortly after in her brown suit and white shirt. Her hair was neatly tied up and her face wore a cold frown as she surveyed the room with disdain.
She had come to speak to Kaur family about Flynn’s expulsion from the Pearce family’s Mansion. She didn’t want him to fall into ruin and hoped they could discipline him properly. But upon entering the courtyard, she witnessed this scene instead.
The Kaur family followed closely behind her. They were eager to see how this situation would be resolved and didn’t leave even after escaping from the yard.
“That’s enough,” Layla said coldly towards Flynn. “Let go.”
She spoke like a queen commanding her subjects – proud and icy-cold demeanor towering over them all.
“Dr. Woods came to help us! Our family is saved!” exclaimed Paulina, jumping up and down with excitement.
Flynn didn’t let go of Luca’s arm, his eyes flashing with disgust. He couldn’t seem to shake off this woman no matter where he went – she was like a persistent band-aid!
Luca grimaced in pain, his face contorted and veins bulging as he gasped for air. Layla furrowed her brow and spoke in a commanding tone to Flynn, “You didn’t hear me?”
This man was ridiculous – stubborn like a mule even though he had no real power. He would be thrilled if I stepped in to help him, but for the sake of his pitiful pride, he wouldn’t release Luca just because I told him to.
She repeated herself, “Let go.” Surely after hearing it twice, Flynn would give up on his stubbornness and release Luca.
But instead, Flynn gave Layla a cold glance full of indifference and said, “What do you think you are? And I’ll let go?”
“Forget about this, just forget it?”
“What kind of a jerk are you!”
Boom!
Everyone exploded.
“Is this kid crazy?” Sam couldn’t believe his ears and his eyes were popping out.
Layla came to help the Kaur family, and Flynn not only didn’t appreciate it but also dared to speak to her like that!
“Flynn, are you insane!” Paulina ran quickly to Flynn’s side and angrily scolded him, “You caused such a big trouble. If Miss Woods hadn’t come, the Kaur family would have been finished! Your miserable life wouldn’t be spared either!”
“You bastard! Let go now and kneel down to thank Miss Woods!” Everyone thought Flynn was ungrateful.
He didn’t cry being moved by their words. He didn’t swear he would repay Layla’s kindness even if he had to work like an ox or horse. And then he made such a scene.
Matteo pleaded with him, “Flynn, let go. I’m begging you.”
“Don’t add unnecessary complications.”
“Okay, Mr. Kaur, I’ll spare his life!” Flynn thought for a moment before throwing a punch.
Boom!
Luca was sent flying five meters away, crashing heavily in the courtyard, with four broken ribs and blood gushing from his mouth.
“You…” Paulina pointed at Flynn, so angry that she almost spits blood.
Layla’s eyebrows furrowed deeply, and a hint of anger flashed across her icy face.
Flynn disapproved, staring at Luca and saying, “You are alive thanks to the grace of Mr. Kaur.”
“I’ve broken four of your ribs and damaged your lungs. Taking away ten years of your life should serve as punishment enough,” Flynn declared.
Luca struggled to stand up, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and said fiercely, “Miss Woods, he crippled my cousin and now he wants my life.”
“This matter cannot be let go! I must kill him!”
The events of ten years ago were taboo, and he dared not reveal the true reason for killing Flynn.
Layla frowned and said coldly, “Caleb has committed many evils, he has a cruel personality, he deserves to meet this end!”
“As an older brother, you have a responsibility for assisting in tyranny and oppression!”
Luca sneered, “Even if Caleb deserves it, he can’t teach him a lesson!”
“I’m going to report to headquarters and have the Hussain family send someone to handle this!”
“Mr. Hussain?” Layla couldn’t help but laugh, her eyes coldly saying, “I cured his illness. My family and Hussain family are old friends.”
“To put it nicely, you’re the general manager of Dragon Gate branch and a trusted aide of the Hussain family.”
“To put it bluntly, just a dog!”
“What makes you qualified to go against my words?”
