“The fabric is so smooth, but isn’t it too thin and uncomfortable?” Flynn couldn’t figure it out.
Rose was packing her clothes when she heard the sound of a wooden basin falling to the ground. She came to the bathroom door and as soon as she stood there, her face turned red.
Flynn had his back turned to Rose, holding up her underwear in one hand while doing something in front of him with the other. Suddenly, he relaxed all over after using the bathroom and shivered with pleasure!
“This guy actually touched my underwear…”
Boom!
Rose’s mind went blank. She quickly turned around and leaned against the wall, her heart beating wildly as her face flushed with shame.
This was so embarrassing!
“Hmm? Are you also in a hurry?”
Flynn walked out of the bathroom and saw Rose’s flushed face. He thought she couldn’t hold it any longer, so he moved aside for her.
Rose didn’t say anything but glared at Flynn before entering the bathroom and throwing away her underwear directly into the trash bin.
“Could it be because of that pill?” Rose suspected that the pill might have been problematic.
Flynn had taken one in the car, and when he got home, he became uncontrollable, behaving irrationally. Seeing him act like this, Rose couldn’t help but think that maybe the pill was the cause.
The more she thought about it, the more disgusted she felt. She decided to throw the pill into the trash. As she walked out of the bathroom, she heard someone knocking on the door. She identified the person through the peephole and opened the door.
“Rose, I heard about what happened at Shipmeda River Bridge earlier. Are you okay?” The man who entered was wearing glasses and a sharp suit, looking very nervous.
He was accompanied by two intimidating men: one with bulging muscles and veins popping out of his arms; the other shorter but with sharp eyes like an eagle’s gaze.
“I’m fine,” Rose said as she introduced them to each other. “This is Kevin’s cellmate Flynn; he saved me earlier.”
“And this is River Stewart, a former employee who has helped me tremendously over these years.”
River glanced at Flynn dismissively before turning to Rose again.
“Milo won’t give up easily since his henchman Scarface failed to get you. But don’t worry; I’ve hired two skilled bodyguards to protect you.” He pointed to the muscular man next to him and said, “This is Stanley White – a retired Dragon Cavalry soldier with exceptional abilities.”
Pointing to the man with a grass rope tied around his arm, he said, “This is Reginald Thomas, a skilled Muay Thai fighter!”
Stanley smiled calmly and said, “Miss Sharp, rest assured. With me and Reginald here, there won’t be any problems!” Rose nodded at the two of them and then smiled at River. “Mr. Stewart, you have a good heart!”
River waved his hand and smirked. “Rose, you’re overthinking it. My family owes your mother’s kindness for protecting your safety. It’s only right.”
“I delayed them for some time on their way here. Otherwise, Scarface would have been scared to death on the bridge before falling into the river!”
“Hmph! A bunch of small-time thugs! Not to mention Stanley; Reginald could take care of them single-handedly.” He then looked at Flynn and whispered to Rose, “However, this guy’s background is unknown. Who knows what his intentions are in getting close to you?”
“After all, he’s someone who has been in prison before. You should stay away from him.”
Rose couldn’t help but glance at Flynn and shook her head. “He shouldn’t be a bad person.”
Although this guy did things differently from others (he even did that thing in the bathroom), jumping into the river to save her was still a fact; he probably didn’t have any malicious intent.
River snorted coldly but didn’t say anything else.
“Well since someone is protecting you today, I’ll go back now!” Flynn wanted to go find Luca but turned around just as the door suddenly slammed open with a loud bang.
