Chapter 19 Come Rolling Over To See Me

“I’m not sure,” Flynn said, pulling his arm away. “Have you heard of Rose Sharp?”
Demon Island was a dog-eat-dog world, and before the crazy old man took him in as an apprentice, Flynn had often been bullied and nearly died once. Kevin Sharp had saved him.
When he got out of prison, Kevin asked him to help take care of Rose. It was time to find out about the Sharp family.
“Do you like her?” Scarlet glanced at Flynn and clicked her tongue. “Not bad taste if you know Niarak’s number one beauty Rose.”
“But that was before,” she continued. “Everything changed after Kevin Sharp killed his wife and went to jail.”
“Rose struggled for a few years, but the Sharp’s Croup eventually went bankrupt.”
“Now she owes millions in debt and her face is ruined…”
“Ruined? Bankrupt? Which companies got their hands on the Sharp’s Group?” Flynn frowned.
“The Swanson’s Group in Pelens, the Dragon Gate Group in Ipholn and the Woods family in Slatin – all billion-dollar companies.”
“The Woods family?” Flynn narrowed his eyes and sneered. “Layla Woods? I really have bad luck – anything she does seems to involve me!”
“Alright, let’s deflate that woman’s arrogance!” Just then, there was a commotion outside the Peninsula Hotel.
A middle-aged man dressed in a suit walked into the lobby. A dozen or so muscular men in black suits with tattoos covering their arms surrounded him like stars around the moon. It was clear he was a big shot.
Everyone in the lobby stood up respectfully to greet him.
“Oh my god, Marcel is here!” Scarlet exclaimed.
“What are you sitting there for? Get up quickly! Marcel is Elis Pearce’s godson, we must not offend him!” Scarlet bent down to pull Flynn up by his collar, revealing her black lace bra which was slightly too big for her and showed off half of her breasts with deep cleavage…
“He really is someone important…” Flynn glanced at Scarlet’s exposed chest before muttering under his breath and reluctantly standing up.
“Everyone, enjoy your meal and drinks, no need to be formal,” Marcel said in a cold and emotionless tone, though no one seemed displeased, nodding along with friendly smiles.
Once they arrived on the second floor, Marcel’s imposing presence seemed to dissipate. Scarlet sighed in relief, “I didn’t expect to run into Marcel here, and to greet him like that, I feel honored!”
Flynn asked, “What does he do? Seems like he’s putting on airs.”
Scarlet explained, “He’s the owner of the Peninsula Hotel. He’s involved in both legitimate and shady businesses, and there are rumors that he might be Elis’s godson.”
“I heard there was an incident with a director at the Peninsula Hotel, and he slapped him a few times. Now, no one in Niarak dares to provoke him!”
Flynn responded with a dismissive smile, thinking that he was nothing more than a small-time player.
“Oh, who’s this, Scarlet?”
Someone said, “No wonder you didn’t meet us for a few appointments. You’ve found a man!”
A young man with a smug look approached, and his gaze turned cold when he saw Flynn.
“Caleb Johnston, why are you here?” Scarlet’s expression darkened. Caleb was the son of the Johnston family, and they had met at a party before.
“Of course, I’m here for a meal.” Caleb’s gaze remained fixed on Flynn, and he asked with a smile, “Where are you from, bro?”
“Mr. Johnston, he’s Flynn, the ex-convict who married Madeline,” mocked the young man behind Caleb.
The guy, who had also attended the fight club two days ago, knew Flynn’s background.
“A good-for-nothing living off a woman’s money and sneaking around!” Caleb’s gaze turned cold.
Madeline was one of the top three beauties in Niarak, and her cousin, Scarlet, was even more enchanting. Both were claimed by Flynn? What a waste, he thought.
“I just treated him to a meal,” protested Scarlet angrily.
“You treated an ex-con to a meal? You’ve really lowered your standards,” laughed Caleb. “Even a beggar on the street is better than this kind of person.”
Flynn frowned and looked at Scarlet. “Why do all your friends seem to be trash?”
Caleb’s face suddenly changed color as he threatened Flynn, “Don’t think that just because you’re now part of the Kaur family that I won’t dare touch you.”
“You’re just trash. Even if you die, the Kaur family will only be relieved of a burden!”
The guy Joel Washington agreed, “You piece of trash! Do you know you’re messing with the Dragon Gate Group?”
“It’s a major corporation ranked in the top ten in Shipmeda State. With a market value of several billion, and it’s backed by the most powerful force in the South, the Eight Extremities School.”
“Mr. Johnston is Luca’s cousin, a high-ranking member of Dragon Gate, and the son of the prestigious Johnston family.”
“Killing you is just a piece of cake.”
“Scarlet, keep your dog on a leash, or Mr. Johnston won’t hesitate to put it down!”
“Luca is your cousin?” Flynn’s face turned cold.
“That’s right! Are you scared?” Caleb taunted.
“Tell him to come see me!” Flynn demanded.
What?! This was outrageous! He actually wanted someone from the Dragon Gate to come see him!
“Fynn, what are you doing?” Scarlet panicked as she realized that Fynn might escalate things and even take on Luca because Caleb had insulted him for a few words.
“What did you say?!” Caleb heard Flynn’s meaning and immediately became furious.
Flynn’s eyes were filled with killing intent as he said, “Get Luca to come see me within ten minutes!”
