The blood on his wrist flowed rapidly, quickly staining the sheets below a deep shade of red.
“You madman! Do you think I’ll spare you just because you did this? Even if you die, I’ll make sure to savor your taste before you go!”
Lukas threw the knife on the bed and pressed down on Elisa’s bloody hand. He was about to apply more pressure when a sudden urgent knocking came from outside.
Lukas’s body tensed. Who would disturb him at a time like this?
“… Boss, Hamish is here. We can’t stop him…”
Upon hearing the name “Hamish,” a frown formed on Lukas’s forehead. He reluctantly released Elisa for the time being and walked towards the door.
Just as his hand was about to touch the doorknob, the door was kicked open from the outside.
Caught off guard, Lukas, already injured and slow to react, was struck on the nose by the door. A surge of pain flooded him, and tears welled up in his eyes.
“Damn it!” Lukas cursed, covering his throbbing nose. He looked up with bloodshot eyes and saw Hamish, wearing a fierce and malevolent expression.
Though it’s said that a strong dragon doesn’t suppress a snake’s head, a snake can never compare to a dragon. Lukas faced Hamish directly for the first time, initially thinking he was just a small-time pretty boy involved in business. However, it seemed that Hamish was more than that.
He exuded a strong aura of intimidation, and even Lukas, who had witnessed many scenes, was frightened by his presence, his legs weak as he took two steps back.
Hamish cast a cold glance at Lukas, entered the room, and was met with a scene of chaos. His keen sense of smell immediately detected the strong scent of blood permeating the air.
The intense odor emanated entirely from Elisa’s side, staining the floor and bed with a glaring red.
Elisa was covered in injuries, her shirt in disarray and bloodstains all over. The most striking was the bloody wound on her wrist. In an instant, his eyes were dyed red by this glaring blood-red sight.
Hamish’s scalp tingled with anger. Unfortunately, he couldn’t display his emotions on his face. Even in his fury, his expression remained chillingly indifferent, sending shivers down one’s spine.
He kicked Lukas aside without hesitation, stepped over him, and walked to the edge of the bed, lifting Elisa in his arms. The blood on her wrist gushed out, and within a short time, Hamish’s palm was stained red.
“Elisa, I’ve come to take you back.”
Elisa was barely conscious, but upon hearing Hamish’s voice, a sense of calmness she had never experienced before washed over her. She weakly tugged at the corner of her lips and said, “I called you, but you didn’t answer.”
“Mmm, I saw your message and came to find you.”
“Why did you take so long…”
As Hamish looked at her covered in wounds, his heart ached. He had never treated her this way. How dare Lukas!
Seeing a medical kit on the counter, Hamish opened it and took out bandages to give Elisa some emergency treatment. But no matter how many layers he wrapped around her wrist, the bleeding didn’t stop, seeping through the bandages continuously.
Elisa had a weak constitution, and her face was already pale. Now, she looked as white as thin paper, slowly fading away in his arms under the light shining from above.
Hamish wrapped a sheet around Elisa and carried her horizontally. He had brought several people with him this time, wreaking havoc throughout the casino. Looking at Lukas, cowering on the ground and covering his lower body, a chilling aura burst forth from Hamish’s eyes.
“Tie him up and lock him in the basement.”
Lukas never expected the person he had offended to be such a tyrant. He deeply regretted not listening to Elisa’s words. He wanted to explain, but Hamish had already taken Elisa in his arms and swiftly left, not giving him a chance to explain.
Hamish carried Elisa to the hospital. The wound on her wrist was deep, and she had lost a considerable amount of blood. Fortunately, the timely arrival at the hospital prevented any major issues.
She had multiple external injuries, especially the scars on her back, with torn flesh crisscrossing in a painful sight.
Hamish stood nearby, watching the doctor treat Elisa’s wounds. Elisa drifted off into unconsciousness, her brows still furrowed.
Unable to bear looking any longer, Hamish turned his face away. Such injuries pained him just by looking at them, not to mention what Elisa was experiencing.
Hamish clenched his fists. Lukas, he wouldremember him!
Once Elisa stabilized, Hamish went to the basement where Lukas was being held.
On that day, everyone witnessed Hamish’s fury for the beloved. He took a knife and cut off Lukas’s fingers.
Lukas, bound to a pillar, passed out from the pain and was awakened by a cold splash of water. He looked around the dimly lit basement, his entire body drenched in cold sweat.
Salt was added to the water poured on Lukas, causing excruciating pain as it made contact with his wounds, making him wish for death rather than endure the agony.
