Chapter 50: Women Love to Speak in Contradictions

Book:Mr. Burns Is Killing His Wife Published:2024-6-4

“Hamish, are you looking at me like that because you’re worried I’ll bite my tongue and kill myself?”
Hamish didn’t like hearing the word “death” from her mouth, but seeing Elisa’s prickly demeanor, he couldn’t help but prick her back. “Elisa, the only value your body has is having the same blood type as Lila.”
So the worry in his eyes just now was not for her, but for the blood inside her. This was something they both knew from the beginning, but hearing it from Hamish’s mouth was so painful.
His indifferent tone pierced through her eardrums like a needle, causing a deafening pain.
Despite the pain, Elisa smiled charmingly. She gave up struggling and lay limp beneath Hamish. “Having the same blood type as her, it’s truly a disgusting existence. Hamish, I regret it so much.”
Hamish pressed his lips tightly together, his beautiful eyebrows slightly furrowing, and his dark eyes gleaming with a hint of ferocity.
Regret, what did she regret?
Regret meeting him, or regret stubbornly marrying him? Perhaps both, but now, saying she regrets doesn’t feel too late, does it? The resentment in her chest was heavy and continued to be released through some means.
Hamish kissed her again, or rather, it felt more like biting. They were like two fierce beasts confronting each other, biting each other’s flesh. In short, neither of them would have it easy.
Hamish sneered, “Elisa, are you making such a fuss today because you’re jealous of Lila moving in? Are you afraid she’ll take your place, and I won’t be able to sleep with you anymore?”
Elisa was furious and blurted out a curse, “Bullshit!”
Hamish didn’t like her cursing, so he exerted more force. Elisa gasped for breath, feeling intense pain in her internal organs, but fortunately, she had taken painkillers beforehand, so it wouldn’t be excruciatingly painful.
“Women love to speak in contradictions.”
Elisa was in too much pain to even cry out, so she weakly glared at him with her eyes, full of resentment.
She had never thought that one day, the man she loved the most would become someone she wanted to avoid. Now, that fear gradually turned into hatred.
Hatred filled her entire chest, almost crushing her rationality. She hated the man in front of her so much, and only he would take her pain as a means of control, treating her cries of pain as contradictory.
It had been a long time since Hamish had made love to Elisa, and now that they started, he couldn’t seem to stop. It was like a person lost in the desert for several days, hungry and thirsty, suddenly discovering an oasis and feeling famished.
Suddenly, a thought occurred to him. He wanted Elisa to conceive his child. Didn’t she hate him and want to leave him? Let’s see where she could run with a child in her womb.
Elisa’s face turned pale, tears streaming down her reddened eyes. Hamish saw this but didn’t feel a hint of sympathy. He was about to continue, but then there was a knocking sound from outside the door.
One knock followed by another, as if they wouldn’t stop unless the door was opened. The interruption caught Hamish in a bad mood, and he frowned unhappily, his gaze turning cold toward the closed door.
After a moment, the annoying knocking ceased, and a weak voice came from outside, Lila’s voice.
“Hamish, I have a headache. I feel like vomiting,” her voice was feeble and carried a hint of helplessness.
Hamish let out a long sigh, glanced at Elisa trembling on the bed, her face buried in the pillow, making it impossible to see her expression.
Hamish turned her face towards him, and his fingertips felt cold sweat. It was then that he realized Elisa’s body was unnaturally cold, even the corners of her hair were dampened.
