Newly Appointed Rulers

Book:Bloody Comeback Of My Alpha Mate Published:2024-6-4

As we reach Texas, Alexander sniffs the strong scent around as he lifts the bunch of keys and the scent of the pack we’re going to, rushes to his nostrils. He sniffs it hard and discovers the location.
“Down there.” He informs, as we majestically approach the gargantuan pack. I enable my wolf’s ability to listen to distant information, as I confirm my suspicion about whether it is the right pack or not.
“The new Alpha King to be enthroned will soon be here with his mate. We have sent signals to him through the scent. Once he gets in…” The leader of the pack announces to them but Alexander doesn’t wait for me to listen to the last words as he barges in, while I follow him behind like the great Luna who I am.
“Alexander.” He whispers to the security men as they salute him, marching him towards the centre of the pack where all wolves are gathered.
“I hereby introduce Alexander Robinson, the newly appointed Alpha King of this pack. He’ll do you better than I’ve ever done. The moon goddess has made this happen and there’s absolutely nothing we can do about it.” The former Alpha declares to his pack. My eyes glare at the surroundings, trying to enable my wolf to count all the wolves around me but I’m too excited to even summon my wolf.
“Though we have different sections and we have grown to two thousand or more, you guys can be better. In fact, you guys are the best I’ve been with. Ranging from my late beta to my late Luna to my wonderful werewolves, I’ll see you again.” The Alpha tearfully declares as he leaves the centre of the pack, heading outside while some guards lead him out. I don’t really understand what’s happening but I guess the moon goddess has already detected that he’s not fit to be the Alpha of the pack and a King Alpha, an experienced one, needs to rule the wolves well to the moon goddess’ satisfaction.
“Thank you.” Alex mumbles as everyone cheers. I sight a few male wolves close to me and a few female wolves close to Alexander. I try to divert his attention to that but he’s duly attending to the pack.
“If you’re interested in being…” Alex tries to appoint his beta on time but the crowd point at those in front of us. I now realize they’re competing to be the Beta and Luna.
“Wow, good.” The Alpha cheers, as his lips widen with a cute smile. “I’ll randomly choose.”
Music starts to play and it soon blares the whole pack as werewolves celebrate the incoming. After a few minutes, Alex dispatches the ones that didn’t pass his review, and calls the pack to attention.
“I appoint Bryan as the male head beta for the pack, throughout my rule! He’s therefore responsible for the Betas that’ll serve under him.” He declares. I seize the opportunity to declare the winner of the female head beta for the pack.
“Hi, werewolves. I have appointed Susan as the successor of the previous female head beta. She is therefore responsible for the rest of the female Betas under her.”
Having declared these, we are led to our quarters where the door is shut and the male head beta, Bryan, and the female head beta, Susan, get to work, to make the pack orderly.
“We finally did this! Yes, we did!” I exclaim, happiness boldly written over my face. His grinned face turns me off, almost stealing the smiles on my lips.
“Not without a price.” He whispers in return, his face looking gloomy.
“What price?” I ask, shocked to hear such words from him. “My dad’s death, your mum’s crazy way of acting?”
“Maybe.” He retorts and I release a sigh of relief.
“That’s not a major price. Do you attain any height in this world without paying a price? The price varies, that’s the difference.” I inform him as he pulls me into a tight hug.
“I’m glad I have you as my Luna. You don’t only satisfy me with your words, you satisfy me with your body. Sexy goddess as the Luna of the pack. I’m so going to change the pack name.” He whispers into my ears, as I find it soothing.
“I hope you don’t cheat on me with the female wolves.” I retort as he pulls out of the hug, feigning an annoyed face at the words I recently spoke. I grin at that, and he walks to the door.
“I’m the Alpha King now, not just the Alpha. I have to attend to my pack at everytime. Remember, focus on priorities.” He whispers loudly but I hold him back.
“That’s why you have a beta. He has many other betas serving under him.”
“Clarissa, we are over two thousand wolves, not two hundred. If anything bad happens, we are doomed.”
“Don’t be so fearful.” I assert. “The moon goddess owns this pack and handed it over to us. It can’t be destroyed without her knowledge, it won’t even be, she’ll intervene if it almost does.”
“I understand, but let’s explore the pack.”
He leads me to the back of the pack, narrating to me he was here a few years back but he never got access to enter the pack because of the ruling Alpha King.
“Did you bother to ask for the name of the Alpha that resigned?”
“He didn’t resign, he was demoted and exiled. His wolf has left him because the moon goddess instructed that it happens.” He informs.
“Don’t tell me about it; It’s great that we now rule. How did you come here though?”
“The moon goddess asked me to choose between three various packs but Ryan said those other options have been given out to capable wolves of his choice. He gave this to me as the only option. In other large packs, the least wolves are not less than three thousand.”
“We can turn a thousand humans and sum them up.” I suggest as it cracks him up.
“It’s more difficult when convincing a large audience. If I take any rash action, I can quickly be demoted. Remember it took years before I can claim you right now, don’t let a few days of unnecessary boldness nullify those efforts in times past.”
“I will love to control a thousand wolves while you control a thousand wolves as well. It will be easier that way.” I suggest.
“Nope. I’m the Alpha, I’m the rule every freaking wolf of the pack. Besides, a Luna can’t benefit fifty percent from the whole benefits of the pack.” He objects but I interject, “remember your oath.”
“Summon Susan and I’ll summon Bryan, let’s have a meeting.” He orders as we take a few steps more to the back of the pack, exploring the surrounding to understand how secure the pack is and what’s lagging behind.
“Until I discover how I can move from here to the ghost world without having to be stuck there, I haven’t seen myself as the Alpha King. I’ll probably give that title to Bryan for now.”
I whisper as meticulously cautious as ever, “it won’t ever happen. We fought for this, we must benefit from this, satisfactorily.”
He sprints forward after nodding to my words but a rogue dares him suddenly, as I’m taken aback when I realize who the rogue is.
