I bump into an important person now. Dad and James sigh when they see him. Their breath seize, and they almost lay on the cold ground.
“Alexander.” I muffle under my breath as we stare at each other without saying any more words. I pull him in for a hug but still feel like he’s not in this world yet.
“You’re here, finally!” I scream out loudly as dad and James shiver on the ground.
“Yes, I’m here. But not totally.” He affirms. “Who are these people?”
“Your pals. That’s my dad and his Beta.” I point at them laying on the floor.
“Who are they begging?” Alex asks again. I sigh furiously.
“Isn’t it obvious? Alex, can dad not be alive as we get mated to each other?” I ask him, very concerned.
“Clarissa, I’ve given you full details.” He tells me and scoffs. “So an Alpha can beg me? My Pardon? Oh, I’m honored.”
“Alex. I must salute your courage and confidence.” I salute him and he smiles. “You really came back through a bloody way. But, Alex, that was too bloody!”
“How did you know I did that?” He asks, plastering a smirk on his lips. “You couldn’t have concluded without a solid evidence.”
“I concluded with an evidence.” I retort and his cheek flushes red. “What you told me a day before that event took place. You didn’t let Jason hear me. Even if he did, I’m sure it couldn’t be coherent to him. You whispered it into my ears and until when I left Jason’s abode, I didn’t know it was you in action. It was so sudden.”
“I wanted to send more demons.” Alex remarks, finally accepting the fact that he sent the demons. Thompson and James rise to their feet now without being told to do. I stare at that direction and Alex does too as I give him a side hug.
“Alex… Alexander.” Dad muffles under his breath. “… I’m so sorry for all the incidents that took place. We have learnt lessons enough.”
Alex scoffs when he hears that. He smirks and replies him.
“You haven’t learnt your lessons enough.” He tells him. I rub his chest to calm him down but he takes away my hands.
“Don’t worry. I can’t shift into my wolf. I can’t let it out. I can’t be mad to this one to that extent.” He says, rolling his eyes at dad and James.
“Remember you’re speaking with my father!” I command respect as he winks his eyes, rubs them and stops the insult.
“We need to be out of here soon.” Alex says as he takes his hands into mine as we head out of here. As Dad and James follow us, Alex turns back to face us.
“We don’t need you here.” He says with his gruff voice. It looks like a last warning. I wink and gesticulate to dad to return to his pack house, that I’ll appear to them when I can.
“But that’s my daughter!” Dad screams at Alex as he becomes furious till his wolf thrusts out. As it darts towards Alex, he is as calm as anything else. Alex injects something into his wolf system and he falls to the ground immediately. I feel something moving in my body when dad falls to the ground and wince in pain.
“Hurry, hurry. Let’s get going.” Alex draws me closer to him so we can run into the woods and escape from this particular vicinity. I detach my arms from his clutch as I move back and hug dad on the ground. I give him the last peck and tears flow from my eyes down to his cheek.
“I’ll remember you. I’ll connect with you.” Dad tells me. I kiss his lips and rub his hair. I rise to my feet and give James a warm hug as I proceed to follow Alex. If Alex turns out to be a good and great person, it’s to my favour and if otherwise, to my demerit. I really hope he I’ll be good as he’s been. I hope he won’t waste my time and I hope he will treat me like a princess which I am.
“Should I even make my vow right here?” Alex muffles under his breath, feeling so fulfilled. “I can’t express the joy I feel within, totally, for finally having to get mated to my destined mate.”
“You can save that for later.” I tell him. “Let’s leave this whole area and we can always talk.”
He doesn’t say a thing. He holds my hands as we move more in the forest.
“We’re now going for a pack house. We will sit down and think of the best name to give to our pack house. Don’t you think that’s a nice idea?” He suggests as I nod my head.
He grabs me by my waist and rests his head on my boobs purposely.
“I don’t support that. We can get mated first.” I say and he unplugs his head from that spot.
“I also don’t support it.” He says. “I’m only teasing you. But, why does it look like dream?”
“About you being able to get me?” I ask, in excitement.
“Definitely. Though it was a lot of work before I could get in power to unleash demons to pack houses. I reported every incident to the moon goddess and our own god.” He tells me and I hum.
“It’ll be great if you go on.” I say as he sits me down in the middle of the bush. He rubs my palms and kisses them.
“Don’t go too far.” I warn him and he finds it comical. “We can do this after getting mated.”
“Please.” He requests. “I beg of you. I’ve gotten you already. And it’s not a necessity to get a mate first. Let’s do it.”
“Do what? Have sex? Something that’s so clear that I don’t want?” I question, fury starting to pour out of my miuth. He taps me a bit and laughs me to stupor.
“I was only pranking you.” He tells me and kisses my palm again.
“You either played or tested me.” I comically retort and we hug each other, too happy to even act. Anytime Alex notices any rough move around us, he will stare at it and shake his head – that is to say, the object will die within seconds if he pounces on it.
“I have some personal questions to ask you.” I request. “Can I ask?”
“Definitely.” He says. “We’re even in a private place. If there’s any rogue sent on purpose here to eavesdrop, I’m not certain such will return home unscathed.”
“You’ll even Kill it without thinking twice.” I commend.
“Well, they have not witnessed the way I fight.” He says. “The way I battle with wolves, let’s say rogues, is quite different from the normal way.”
“And that’s what makes you unique. Well, next to my question, whose power did you employ to ensure you carried out that operation well?” I ask, and place my jaw on my fist.
“Though I contacted the moon goddess and almost made her life a hell, but I am glad she does respond. She does not snub.” He asserts.
“I asked a question but you’re giving a different answer.” I attack him and he apologizes.
“What was the question even?” He requests. I command him to remember by feigning some magical powers.
“I realized you’re an hybrid. This is the truth your dad or mum will ever tell to you.” He tells me. “Do you know the powers hybrids have?”
“I’m glad you knew that again.” I say, look at him like though I’ll pounce on his flesh.
“I want my answer NOW.” I request for it.
“Oh. So sorry. I am not sure I can give it to you.” He says and then returns to his normal memory. Probably, he’s in mind link with a different person which I hope won’t turn out to be a female.
“I employed extra powers. If you go to where I went to, you’d start to see others as inferior to you.. but just watch it.” He tells me. “Once they tell me to use my mate, they think I’ll have no option. I’ll go for any other kingdom.”
“It doesn’t come with repercussions?” I question, feeling peaceful beside him.
“It does, really.” He mentions.

We approach a city in U. S. A in which we currently are. I ask him the state we are.
“Tennessee.” He retorts. “Have you heard about here earlier – before now?”
“Definitely.” I say, chuckling. I feel better peace of mind since I am with my right mate. I believe dad has reconciled with him as well.
“It’s same as asking me if I know the numbers of letters in the alphabetical order even.” I affirm and he points at a store.
“Let’s get some groceries and candies over there. Then from there we head home.” He tells me. Is that how fast people forget their fellows? The presence of dad and James and faintly Jason still lingers in my mind. Tiana’s death pained me. It doesn’t, anymore.
“Can you connect me to someone’s mind link?” I ask him as people chatter and walk around. It’s not the forest, it’s the city so I try to feel among but Alex shushes me.
“Don’t say that again. You’re in the midst of human beings. Wolves are not here at all.” He warns strictly and I promise to adhere to his instructions.
“Good girl.” He says and rubs my hair. “Now, follow me.” And he makes me walk faster. I start to look embarrassed in the public, as he holds me tighter and walks faster into a special place.
“Will we sleep here as well or return to the…” I say, wanting to mention a thing that pertains to werewolf kingdom. And then I remain silent.
“We won’t return to our house over there.” Alex retorts, so that I’ll understand and others will not. I nod my head and after we purchase what we want, we move out of the store immediately.
“I feel like my eye colour wants to change.” I inform Alexander and he makes me walk faster to where people are scanty or absent totally. We reach a silent area, though it is closer to the forest now which we don’t want to return to, not even for now.
“Let it change.” He instructs. I start to move wildly, just like someone deranged as I scream on top of my lungs. The security officers creep out of their hidden places, and instruct us to stop and don’t make any moves.
“I promise we didn’t come from that forest. You can confirm it.” Alex explains to them as they want to handcuff him and me. “And she was feeling overly excited.”
“We don’t trust you.” The man angrily retorts. Then I decide to throw a word at him.
“I hope your lack of trust in us won’t be verified now. Leave us and let’s escape.” I scream again as they now decide to handcuff us, I shake my head vigorously but my wolf doesn’t come out. After I am normal again, I take my time to listen to the conversations.
“We aren’t wolves.” Alex tries to voice out but the security raises his fist against him. Alex chuckles and shakes his head, he looks at me and I shake my head too.
They do not understand what the hell they’ve done.
“If we go further against you, you’d plead with us.” I threaten.
“Does that not sound like something a wolf will say?” The security fires back at me.
“That’s from your perspective. And your perspective, my trash can.” I say as I empower myself, grab Alex and break the chains about to be tight around his hands as they gaze in fear, letting us slip to avoid more problems for themselves.
