ALEX’S POV
Finally after all that happened me and Bryan are getting married.
Previously my only wish was to find someone like Bryan but now he is the one the Lord gave me. Of course I was embarrassed to ask it to be Bryan because he was my best friend’s boyfriend at that time.
Flashback
“Bryan? As in Bryan Lee the Korean business man? Oh my! your so lucky sis!” I was thrilled when Liz told me that Bryan was courting her.
I have a crush on that guy. I am attracted to Korean because I love watching Korean drama and I love their food. That’s why even my taste in a guy are somehow influenced by my love fore Korean stuffs. I even want to live in Korea but I know my dad will not allow me.
Bryan is also famous in the business world so I know him very well. I’ve been wanting to meet him for a long time but Liz met him first. And because he is my best friend, I will forget my feelings for my best friend.
“Do you want me to introduce him to you? So you could tell if he is okay or not for me.” Said Liz
“No thanks Liz. I’m just worried that if he sees me, he will like me and you will lose your potential boyfriend” I teased her.
“So cocky sis!” She teased back.
We just laughed each other.
“I just hope that dad will choose a guy like him to be my husband.” I told her.
Liz knew about my family’s way of settling down. My family are all product of an arranged marriage.
“Like Bryan? You only like him because he is a Korean.” Liz said.
I rolled my eyes. “Exactly! I hope that the guy that my dad will chose for me to marry is a Korean.”
We just laughed again by my crazy thoughts.
After a few months Bryan and Liz became an official couple.
I was invited at Bryan’s birthday party even though we haven’t met. I was simply invited because of my best friend.
I was so excited to attend the party because I’m sure that I will meet many Koreans at that party. I am also wondering if I could find a boyfriend in that party?
Bryan’s birthday party was so grand. Well planned. And in fairness the food is delicious unlike other parties that are just brought by the decor.
I was alone at the party while waiting for Liz and Bryan when a group of men approached me.
“Hi Miss are you alone?” the man said.
In fairness these men are handsome but not my type.
“No. I’m waiting for my friend.” I told him.
“Oh I see. I think this is the first time that saw you. How are you related to Bryan?” The other guy asked.
“We don’t really know each other except for our names. I’m Liz’s best friend. And Liz is-” I wasn’t able to finished what I am about to say because they cut me off.
“Bryan’s girlfriend.” They all said.
“And we’re Bryan’s best pal. I’m Drake and this is Josh, Chase and Gian.” Drake introduce him and his friends.
“Oh I see. I’m Alex” I simply said.
“Nice meeting you Alex. Liz always talks about you. Finally we met.” Drake said.
I just nodded at him. I look around and saw my best friend and his boyfriend going our way.
“Alex!” Liz called me with excitement on her face.
“Hon this is my best friend Alex, Alex this is Bryan.” Liz introduce us.
He offer a handshake and I accepted it.
“Finally we met. I heard so many things about you. Anyway, are these guys bothering you?” Bryan said.
I smiled. He is so handsome. He looks like the ones I watch in Korean dramas.
“Hey sis he is my boyfriend he is forbidden to fantasize. Don’t worry he will introduce you to his Korean friends” Liz joked.
I just shook my head.
Since that meeting, Bryan and I have been close. He is also the one I ask about what I want to know in Korea.
End flashback
“Hey!” Bryan greeted me.
“Tired?” He asked.
We just finished taking care of the wedding necessities. We have so much to take care of.
We only have a week before our wedding day.
“Quite tired but I’m used to it. I helped Nic in his preparation for his wedding.” I told him.
“Speaking of that, you didn’t tell me what happened since I left.” He said.
I rolled my eyes when I remembered his condo incident.
“After our Mindoro vacation, I talked to Nic and I told him that I am choosing you over him.” I said.
“Really?” Seems like he can’t believe what he heard from me.
This is the first time we will talk about this. Not that we avoid talking but because we have been too busy with our wedding. Grandpa is in a hurry, because he is getting older.
“Yes. So the next day we invited our parents to a dinner to tell them our decision. And you know what? Nic took all the blame. He said that only sees me as a friend. But of course I won’t let his name be ruined because of me. I know daddy. So I told the truth. ” I started my story.
“Then?” He said waiting for me to continue my story.
“Then I went to you unit. And to my surprise you flew to the states, with your future wife.” I said sarcastically.
“Really?” Shocked he said.
I told Gian not to tell Bryan about the decision I made, because I thought he was really going to get married there and I didn’t want to mess with that. That time I just believe that we were not really meant for each other.
Until we found out that Delle did not marry him. But I still haven’t told Bryan what my decision was. My reason then was, maybe we both need space. When we are emotionally stable and if we still love each other then we will have our happily ever after.
“Yes. What happened why didn’t you her?” I asked.
He pinched my nose. “Why should I marry her if you you are the one I love?” He said seriously.
I suddenly blushed when he said that.
“I thought you will really do what you promised her.” I said like a child sulking.
He chuckled. “Silly girl. That’s actually Delle’s plan. But I think her plan is not effective because it took us a year to be together. Also Delle has a long time boyfriend. And the reason why she came back here is to help me to you and fetch me because I am her best man in her wedding.” He explained.
I laughed at what happened to us. “But I guess its for the better. At least now its more peaceful and not complicated.
“Agree.”
